As long as you don't live anywhere where they salt the roads, Mazda makes the best shitboxes.

“Rust” is just free weight reduction. Jk get a welder, learn how to use it and spray on rust proofing. 5+ years here no rust after my initial work. The primer by my rocker is from gettin too hektik last fall, scraped some paint gunna fix it once it gets warm out.

Did you try reading the damn sticky?

I've read it countless times. I like hearing what other people's suggestions are rather than just reading the sticky.

EP3 Type R
Lovely gearbox on them

>muh outdated sticky

this

Pretty much every car you can get in that price range will be manual desu

It's not outdated. Just get a civic for 3k faggot

The sticky is so outdated. You need to make a new one.

it would just say 4k miata if it were updated lol

Subaru Forester XT

This, Mazda protege s will probably be my next shitbox

Also try a Honda hatch their manuals are good.

07-12 nissan sentra ser spec v. It a 200hp I4 with a LSD and it handles amazing for a fwd car. I bought mine for $7.5k with 57k miles on it. Its basically a honda civic SI without the rice tax

You can find good deals on Mini Coopers. I got my Cooper S with stick for $6k

how are they for reliability?

2005/2006 with supercharged engine and manual tranny are pretty good. The autos are not very good, but you're not looking at those anyway. It's not going to be as bulletproof as a Toyota, but it's a very fun car. Do yourself a favor and at least test drive one if it's convenient.

>miata
>vw golf
and
>pretty much every used subaru on the market
you're welcome

Used subarus are cancer, my nigga.

Is there an European version of that sticky
What's outdated about it?

subaru owners are cancer

Literally anything over ten years old.

Can confirm minis are fun to drive. My grandfather had one for a little bit and it was an absolute blast to take on twisties. It is terrifying on highways where there are lots of big rigs though
