AI changes order like that when it can see a kill, so you don't have enough res try using fortify armor from Sheena if you have her. maybe ignis will work if you delay the special by 1 for the vantage proc

Is he just for use in the TT or something? he really only shines once he's 5* thanks to gaining access to Durandal. A budget A skill for him would be something like +ATK 3. DB 2 is also fine because again, it stacks with Durandal's effect giving him a crazy player phase attack.
