ETS2 has much more content and road to drive around, but America is still interesting in its own way.
You can get most of the trucks in ATS in ETS2 but not sure about trailers.
Long American trucks are definitely a challenge on the narrower European roads.

ATS has four trucks and SCS hasnt said a word about adding more, just map DLCs. Given there are mods its not too shit, but sometimes i want to do truckersmp stuff.
At least they are adding mighty griffon parts and heavy haul chassis for the new Scanias in ETS2.

it's obviously going to be expensive if you asked them to remake 50 km of road on the other side of the planet
make shitty one on your own and maybe you'll be satisfied. i wanted to see my local track in assetto, i downloaded 30day 3dsmax trial and modelled shitty surface in one day, then i've dropped in couple enviromental placeholders and now i feel like it was enough for me. having your favorite place in assetto sounds amazing until you actually get it and realize that it simply wasn't worth the bother
maybe i'll continue working over it one day. modelling road surface from memory and videos was hell so i got exhausted - but since i already have rough estimate of my road, all that's left is tough work of polishing it and then it's all pleasant stuff, enviroment, little details.

No shit, of course - why would I have any interest in seeing it recreated otherwise? I live further away from it now and there's too many cops, tourists, traffic, drug addicts and murders on it the last few years so I rarely go.

I figure a chunk of that would be them flying over here to gather data and shit but I also sent a bunch of reference videos and images - I imagined the majority of it could be done just pulling data from Google Maps. Also thought it was one guy, not a team.
Yeah, I'll probably try again but I have zero hope in it - I never finished any of the projects I started throughout my life lmao... just lose motivation/dedication way too fast. Maybe I'll try with Blender since 3dsmax's UI is such a clusterfuck IMO. But like I said earlier, would much rather wait until that dude finishes making RTB... and getting better than 'mixed' reviews. Probably by the time that happens, AC will be long dead though... welp. you won't get inspired, it's hardly a track, just a mix of placeholders - surface+kerbs+tyres placed in same places as ones on the real one. i slapped first 'free asphalt texture download now' i found on track surface and called it a day. But it felt good to be able to take corner exactly the same way as irl one after adjusting various surface angles and adding kerbs, so i'm glad i've tried it, plus maybe one day i'll do it right and finish it.

You know you can toggle the level of TC by pressing Ctrl+T right? because you're still 8 seconds behind the pace, which not that great TC or no TC.
