first mass produced vehicle in the US to have a steel safety cage around the passenger compartment
reading the comment sections of these crash test videos, especially for american """"muscle"""" cars, is like reading Veeky Forums oriented miiverse posts
Fuck your wall.

Oh, I'll be just fine
>The way the cabin folds
Jesus christ Amerimut cars are shit
find a crash test vid of my car and I will give you one internet
Trucks like that dont have cabin supports due to the suicide rear doors.
You should of seen the Ford from that era
>cabin completely folds
That silverado scored moderate
>ford scored poor

The suburban is identical (oldschool front end) and holds up due to extra support

>runs out of crash marker stickers
>fuck it just spray paint the wheels
doing god's work user
I can’t find a single crash test video for my 991-generation 911 (2012.5-2016). Even crash videos and crash scene videos are few and far between. Anyone better at internetting than I am?
Not extremely worried, as some of the best defenses against accident damage are manuverability, braking ability, and outward visibility.
No problem mate.
That's just to measure the tire rotation on the high-speed video, it's still common practice.
What is that?
I owned one of these over 10 years ago, but it has terrible safety ratings.
>Original high-speed films for earlier tests may be available through the National Archives.
REEEEEEEEEE.
I'd love to see a video for this test.
>look up "s13 silvia crash"

not bad, i guess?
vehicle safety is a meme
i've never been killed in a car
there is always tomorrow
i've got a yj, thats a tj in the pic so kinda related. yjs have no airbags
Shouldn't your point be there isn't always a tomorrow?
well if there was not a tomorrow then there would not be a day for the car to try to kill the user. once the user dies, then we can reevaluate.
A pretty good friend of mine died in a car crash less than a week ago. I should probably not still drive an '80s car.
even though it lacks a b-pillar
I should've specified a frontal crash test vid but a crash test is a crash test
I have deposited one Internet in your account
Maybe not for you
Backseat passengers are fucked tho
2012.5 - 2016 Porsche 911 (any trim level)

i'm glad mine is 10 years younger so an airbag may deploy so i do not eat the steering wheel (kek 23 year old airbag explosive pointed at my face)
>nah dood you don't need an airbag to not eat shit and smash into the steering wheel
people who don't think driver side airbags are essential are retards
pretty much completely disintegrates... you are fucked bro
hearty kek
Thanks mate! That’s why I get for buying Danish. Absolutely rubbish unless on a rally stage.
Front impact is fine, but not so good on a small overlap crash.
All things considered, could be worse. Against a wall I have a chance. Against wine-drunk Stacey in her Tahoe going to pick up the kids from soccer practice? Not so much.

I just hope they hit me anywhere but a glancing blow from the front. The small overlap is preddy shit.
>driving a prius
oh shit nigger what are you doing
My GF has a Prius C and it's fine.
Spending $15 a week on fill-ups and saving money on insurance compared to my previous rides.
Honestly this, the C manages to miss a lot of the Prius stereotypes due to being a small eco-box hatchback. Totally different demographic drives them and people are less likely to road-rage against you compared to if you drove a standard Prius because normies don't know it is one.
Does this count? Looks pretty safe to me?
It isn't even sold as a Prius outside the states. It's sold as a Toyota Aqua in other markets. The Prius nameplate in the US is just for marketing.

not great but apparently back in the day it rated the same as the S class.
youtu.be
Yea, I don't think I would be just walking this off in my '01 Corolla
not bad but not great least i got side airbags if some gookcoonpoo tbones me
yeah lmao
dayum son. fuck that wall indeed.
>"the federal highway commission has ruled the Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving"
>joked about being unnecessarily large
>now literally every car has inflated to size because people bought stacey utility vehicles and chad trucks en masse
Oh how the times have changed.

Safest car there is, cause it sits at the mechanic 100% of the time, no diving means no crashy crash
No. I own early 90s nip shitboxes with no airbags and bad crumble zones and gas/brake lines the rot away at any given moment due to rust.
youtube.com
Is this a first or second generation insight in the video?
PS. the driver in that video walked away from the crash with minor cuts and bruises. a crash at 190mph...!!
I drive a first gen

I'll be right
Either you don't take care of your car or you're driving the triptragic model. Either way you're a fag.

No crash test data, but I heard that these aren't very great so RIP to me I guess.
I now fear a side impact
