Valkyrie

Valkyrie

The valkyrie weighs 600 lbs less and has about 110 more HP whilst generating 4000 lbs of downforce with a top speed of 250 so there isn't really going to be a contest.

the one that looks like a ford gt clone.
oh that's both....
the top one I guess

How many layers of bait are you GT posters up to?

Absolute pleb tier taste

like 0 my dude

Fucking retard

I did say overall, not specifying performance, so it is somewhat a matter of taste.
Aesthetics and comfort are important too.

>comfort is important on 1000+ track only vehicles
How many digits is your IQ?

>1000+ hp

about as many digits as there are comfy track only vehicles

Are you telling me the Ford GT looks like THAT?
Some people even in this context do weigh practicality more than raw performance.
Of course those people wouldn't buy one since they are already retarded.

Mercedes

>muh F1 engine
>muh AWD traction and low speed acceleration
>muh space
>muh thermal efficiency and fuel economy
On a track it will lose it's full potential pretty quickly, and then be exposed for only having a 750ish hp ICE.
Not to mention it being a good deal heavier and lacking downforce.
It also looks worse.

Valkyrie.
The Mercedes looks ancient in comparison

10k+ RPM 6.5L V12.
Do I need to say more? You will hear the thing in the next postcode.

>It also looks worse.
Everything you just said is true but that, I'm biased towards Mercedes so I can concede everything.
Also he said overall so I factored in Comfort, Fuel Economy and styling.

Fair enough.
I guess looks are pretty divisive on these, I think the Project One is too conservative personally without being stylish.

FUCK SHOOT IT
IT'S GONNA KILL YOU

CSL GTR was great.
It just looked like you gave a regular Merc some super steroids

But the CSL GTR is a BMW.
Do I not follow?

Funny how you run away whenever the slightest mention of Porsche is made.

Literally who cares

They are just marketing projects

>he does not like the incumbent fastest road legal production cars ever around a circuit
The Valkyrie is the next McLaren F1, and the project is helping also creating 2 other mid-engined cars for AM.
Sure making these halo cars for most people is just marketing of how good we are and stuff like that, but hypercars are too impressive for me to not care about.

It’s helping to create ONE mid engined car for AM. One of them will be a continuation of the red bull collab and essentially be a smaller toned down version of the project one, while one is already in production and will be a 488 competitor

*valkyrie

Surely Merc will make a track version too.
Or are they already too salty about getting destroyed by britbongs again?

Attached: valkyrie-amr-pro_08-(large)-news.jpg (1160x760, 58K)

Nope.
autoblog.com/2018/03/12/aston-martin-mid-engine-valkyrie-brother/
They are making a middle model which will probably be a tad more expensive than a Senna.

blog.caranddriver.com/we-walk-around-the-valkyrie-amr-pro-with-the-pros-who-are-designing-it/

>Newey casually let slip that it could well end up bettering the extraordinary claimed figures. “The downforce we’re quoting is obviously early days,” he said. “We’re very early in the evolution of this car; the model you see now is effectively the ideas that stand behind it as a sketch given over to Marek’s team to interpret. It will of course change quite a lot from that.”
>I am growing stronger

Attached: growingstronger.png (638x526, 330K)

holy fuck, that's the production car?
looks insane

95% ready.

i dont like slow overpriced fords or hypercars with wheel covers. what the fuck did that have to do with my post?

Attached: B792AB77-C5FF-4EA9-84AD-7440D05E7A0B.jpg (539x540, 87K)

Many high performance cars are moving to wheel covers for less drag.
I don't mind the look, as long as it makes it go faster.

i am well aware of this and i do not care
>muh passion
why does eking out a %2 better drag coefficient or slightly better fuel efficiency or whatever matter if it looks retarded and youd never want to be seen in the damn thing?

Attached: 919DDF5C-2EC0-49C6-885C-9E1BBC6C4525.jpg (1291x1300, 116K)

I dunno, the main thing with cars like this is you do not want to be seen getting in or out of it due to that looking retarded.
The wheel covers on the regular Valkyrie are optional by the way.

A Tesla Roadster would smoke both of these dick-waiving mobiles. ;^)

Because super/hyper cars are for performance, not looks/muh feels.

There's a reason GT-Rs are auto only, the GT comes with a V6, Veyron has a cheap interior, and the LaFerrari is a hybrid.

Too bad that the Rimac C_2 is likely the third car of this holy trinity, then.
You obviously know that corners are more important in this case.

Time for interiors.

Attached: aston-martin-valkyrie_10-news.jpg (1160x760, 193K)

And the other.

Attached: moqnNXmASdGRwlEz90pSEQ_Spar-ansk-kokpit-pripom-na-F1-multifunk-n-m-volantom.jpg (900x675, 87K)

That merc kind of looks like the old clks, does it have v12?

1.6L V6T
Well, it is a detuned F1 engine going over 10k rpm, so not all is lost.
Of course I would prefer a variant of the V12's they give to Pagani.
So I'll take a CLK-GTR.

You know, there is a system used to objectively determine how good a car is.

I don't know. The one made by the company that has decades of expertise in racing, or the one made by the company that has never broken any kind of notable record whatsoever. Tough choice.

The AMG will shit on the Valkyrie's lap times, and that's on top of being a much smoother looking car that can actually be driven on the road in a reasonable manner.

They proobably will, in a few years.
And unlike Brits and Italians, Germans will wait patiently and show what's what when the car is released on the track.

Mercedes haven't made a good car in 2 decades so Valkyrie

>Mercedes haven't made a good car in 2 decades so Valkyrie
And Aston Martin has? All they do is make nice looking cars that are slow as shit on a track. Also obvious you haven't driven a recent AMG.

>what's what
an unreliable shitheap that fades it's breaks on track and catches fire when on idle designed by czechs and built by turks?

at least they made a good looking car
there has never been an AMG that was driveable

Let's ignore the fact that they have Adrian Newey, who has been dominating the F1 world with his car designs, and let's also forget
>pic related

Attached: 1652302.jpg (1199x742, 99K)

*this triggers the turk*

That car looks so smol

The Valkyrie is mainly designed by Adrian Newey, and elements of his F1 team.
All AM has done is some non aero affecting aesthetic choices and the interior, fluff like that.

Look at the stats, the Valkyrie makes slightly more power, is 300kg lighter and makes at least 75% more downforce.
I doubt AMG has enough trickery to match that.

Aston Martin is actually pretty good at building race cars with Prodrive, and their AMR lineup is pretty unique out of current manufacturers outside of maybe Ferrari.

The Project One is the better DD with the more advanced powertrain, but the Valkyrie is the faster race car.

I think it is 39 inches high.

The Valkyrie, how is this even a question?

The valkyrie is light as fuck and has a NA V12. Unlike most marketing projects this one is actually exciting.

>There's a reason GT-Rs are auto only, the GT comes with a V6, Veyron has a cheap interior, and the LaFerrari is a hybrid.
I legitimately do not understand what you're getting at here.

The Project One is a halo car using F1 tech, similar to the Ferrari F50.
The Valkyrie is the desired road car of the best F1 designer of the time, with a V12, exactly like the McLaren F1.
The Project One is the bigger marketing project, the Valkyrie is done by AM as an OEM basically.

top one was clearly designed by people who know nothing about aerodynamics, bottom one wont look like that when it comes out

is this badboy gonna be road legal?
if you got ran over by that it would shred you up and spit you out the diffuser, i cant imagine this being allowed on a road

that is one of the ugliest things i've ever seen.
it's the nissan juke of hypercars.

yeah cause the drive axle on a druck wouldnt shred someone?

im offended you even posted that

>giving even half of a single fuck how it looks when it weighs as much as an early 90s honda civic and has a naturally aspirated v12

oh i think its gonna be the better car. anything with a V12 is automatically a better can than its competitors.
but it's fucking atrocious looking.

The bottom one is a 95% final model, only changes will be aero refinements and engine cooling plus interior trim.
Yes.

>uses an LS3
>restricted to 380hp
Waste of space, otherwise pretty cool, but not road legal unlike the two main cars in the thread.

Also the amount of freedom you have with a single seat compared to two seats is massive.

what the actual fuck is that supposed to show?

That the rear wing can barely touch the downwash from the bodywork?

That the entire top surface of the car is one big low pressuze zone and will generate a fuckload of lift?

That the diffuser clearly isn't doing shit?

That there's a fuckhuge low pressure zone inboard the front pontoons?

Or that whoever ran that sim fucked up so many settings in both the simulation and display (entire car is dark blue, which means something's mapped to it, but it's been mapped so badly all the values are clamped off the end of the scale).

I think this image gave me cancer

The baseline stats for reference.

*cough*

>Or are they already too salty about getting destroyed by britbongs again?
come again?

two world wars happened

I guess you could look at this from a few angles.
Firstly, the Mercedes F1 team is the dominant team right now, but every key person in the terms of car development, along with the bases used to make and design them are British.
The F1 engine used in the Project One is a British engine, the chassis however has been developed by AMG back in Germany, along with the more extensive hybrid setup they are not capable of matching the chassis of the Valkyrie, which is a fully British car.
Also there were two world wars, that always hurts them.
In this case Daimler wanted a halo car which trumped all others, and the Valkyrie has completely destroyed them when it comes to going fast in a circle.
No matter which way you look at it, Germany loses.
