>/pol/ would hate chaos
No they wouldn't. Chaos' like core doctrine is identified to be social darwinism in IV. Explicit call for the strong and superior to subjugate everyone else / kill them / or at best make them go away to stay out of their way. There's no actual rule in chaos against the strong forming into groups. Lucifer Is an actual king who clearly enforces power in a group dynamic. There's tons of kings associated with chaos. And gotou is an outright nationalist.
Besides. Have you never seen the anarcho capitalist / libertarian "subtle" use of thier ideology to more or less be crypto fascism, since they think it will form into a meritocracy that forces brown people to leave? Chaos more or less is pol.
>Law would purge most of tumblr

Close, but yamato has too much self control, and not enough victim complex. Normally chaos is seen as the underdog, and law is seen as the one associated with being calm. desu 2 took the normal alignments and inverted it, making the chaos analogue be the one in charge, and the law analogue be the angry one. Pol no doubt wants to be seen as yamato, but they are more like regular chaos angrily ranting about how they are oppressed and punching shit.

but which alignment tumblr would be?
Owen Gutierrez
>pol is cnrservative as hell dude,
None of the alignments are really conservative per say. However, conservatism is often associated (much to the denial of religious conservatives) with particular national identity and the right to preserve your own ways against foreign forces in a particularist way. Which leans chaos. Chaos is not just about individuals, but groups preserving group identity from the (((globalist))) forces that are trying to universalize everything.
> besides law isn't against the idea of a meritocracy, it's against the idea of endless greed
Nobody is against the idea of people being in whatever roles they are actually the most suited to perform. But chaos thinks that the strong should actively get the right to do what they want, and ignore everyone else, and its those people's fault for not being strong / or even that its actively good to wipe them out. That's nazi leaning ideology. Law's meritocracy is that if you are extremely skilled, you "get" a chance to be the messiah, who there's a good chance will end up sacrificing themself. Most people in actual law worlds are implied to have a degree of relative equality with eachother. You aren't really treated much better for being more skilled.
Dark law or dark neutral. Their ideology would resemble dark law, but how they act is chaotic enough that it might push them to neutral. They ant everyone else to act law, but believe that this is for more chaotic reasons.
Owen Diaz
I don't get honey select.
Carter Green
>None of the alignments are really conservative per say And that's what fundumentally wrong with your post, in SMT IV a lot of law is protecting the status quo, law is really into leaving things as is if they're not broken, and defending your country against foreign forces is more law than chaos
Kayden Allen
>can't make YHVH smirk I don't get it either
Jeremiah Morales
No. Read the info next time.
Julian Howard
No, you just got confused about what was actually going on in IV. IV wanted to be based very subtly on hindu concepts of the polarity between preservation and change that vishnu and shiva represent. So they use language early in the game that reflects that. But the actual law ending has nothing to do with leaving things the same. Like in every other game, it involves heavily changing things. The idea of it being about preservation is mostly -after- the system is set up. But they stretched to try to crowbar the theme earlier into the game. Its not analogous to conservatism in the actual endings, so much as a hegelian end of history where once the ideal state is reached, certain parts of it will never need to change again. Trying to crowbar conservatism onto it when most of the law endings are closer to socialism was unique to IV, didn't even reflect the ending very well, and meant something much different than you are trying to get out of it. Its not really analogous to the ideology of conservatives as defined in the west. More like gradualists. Emphasizing patience and long term thinking over impulsive action.
>and defending your country against foreign forces is more law than chaos
Law is like, explicitly globalist. The idea of distinct countries is something its clearly against. If you look at the outfits of some law units early in the series they even have blatant eye of providences on them, and are referred to as the conspiracy. The NWO conspiracy is about undermining the sovereignty of distinct countries to usher in a one world government. Protecting your country for the sake of your country's interests is chaos. Before they were even represented with religions, the first arc of SMTI is a chaos figure trying to protect national interests versus law globalist figures trying to establish a foreign system as part of a universal globalist one.
Carter Ortiz
not just fascism. any form of rigid hierarchy/chain of command and collectivist "people's" ideology. fascism has both. communism has both. religions have both. any form of nationalism has both.
so it's only natural why so many people are in various types of order-minded states, whether it's light order or dark order.
Jacob White
>Still no SMT game where the other heroes shift alignment in response to your decisions >Can't act out an extreme version of one alignment to turn people off of it (ie hey you like chaos?? me too my dude check out these slaves I got) >can't falseflag every other alignment so people all go neutral >can't kill them all once neutral so you can finally ascend to True Neutral
Jackson Bell
This reminds me, was there any alignment stuff in Imagine?
