DC if you want him to put in real work and not be a useless rock in defense though you will disregard Urvan's effect in a lot of cases. Keep Steady Breath and add Bonfire QR if you want him to be a maximum melee tank (which isn't that impressive either way). Steady Breath Aegis Shield Pulse to be the toughest useless rock.

What A skills is good for Ephraim? I'm running TA3, Lancebreaker 3, and Threaten Def 3 and he puts in work

On one side, you can easily grind Hector in TT right now. On the other, CYL units are hinted to have an even lower appearance rate than average 5*s. I think the CYLs are worth it and each have their own niche enough to use.

Hector is a must have for Armor teams though.

If you're not sure about his build, just keeping him standard with a c skill of your choice works great as well, I'm getting more arena defenses than I'm used to since I put him on my defense team

Roy looks amazing, and as much as people praise Xander, I think I'd rather have him for playerphase red horse.

Hector just looks fantastic outside of armor teams as well, but I don't have the units to warrant building armor crew anytime soon.
