Can someone explain to me why people have such trouble with doing naval in DH? It's so easy and intuitive, and yet people just throw their hands up at it. Hell, some people even complain about HoI4's naval even though it got babyfied to kingdom come.

My plan was to exhaust their manpower supply so I can start annexing Northern France in the subsequent wars without any issues whatsoever. All I need is the 5 Channel provinces and pretty much nothing else from France.

I dont know if youve ever played as France but they start with 100k manpower over their cap, or at least I did, so the only chance youll ever have of beating them without 2 miltech +discipline advantage for a while is the first war where they dont have alot of troops at the start.

they had twice my army size in a single stack with half my army size in another stack sitting behind it, coupled with all the vassal armies around them

You have to take out their main army when you land with more troops, since theyll still be gathering theirs from around the country. Then break up the tiny stacks they have that are moving towards where their main army is fleeing. Theyll have to take loans, so then you wait for them to go bankrupt.After that youll crush them just by the siege advantage. Using transports to dodge them is a good strategy.

That's actually how I got that ratio. Anyway I can't really do anything in the first war because it was Montfort's war which means that France, as their secondary ally, has twice the cost of AE for their provinces.

The good news is that I have cores there anyway so all I need is a bit of luck with France getting in a war with someone and my goal is complete. I'll wait, no problem
