I can imagine zero time spent in practice mode, reading/watching tutorials etc. result in that easily without being especially untalented. Not really weird if people don't want to deal with that boring stuff at all and just keep the relaxed casual attitude they started the game with.

Learn more about him then. I had the same problem with steve but since I've learned that backdash > sidestep against him, any steve that isn't good is a free win. So just learn the character.

I tried to duck and launch with a WS but the jabs interrupted it every time. I'll try sidestepping next time. I also found it weird that jabs interrupted me when I tried to armor move out of it. You'd think armor was made to defeat spam tactics but the startup for armor is too slow against 1 spam.

Is there anything special about gut punches? I don't mean double over stuns. The kind where the opponent hunches over and is actually lifted off the ground a bit. I think it's Jin that has a natural combo that starts with a gut punch but some other characters have the same move but nothing combos from it.

Would you guys agree that the random stage algorithm is skewed? Some stages appear all the time like forgotten temple, jungle outpost, and the two infinite stages but I can count on my hand how many times I've seen kinder gym or the geometric one.

If I had to guess it seems like they skewed it so the stage gimmicks appear more frequently even though a lot of stages don't have them. Like forgotten temple is the only stage with floor breaks so it appears more and jungle outpost is one of the few with a wall break.

Its not random, its the same order, at least for offline/lobby matches. No idea why its used in tournaments, If you press ready quickly on the arena screen you wont get the last 50% of maps ever.

To be honest I really struggle to find weaknesses for that character if you're playing smart.

It's not random, it's always the same sequence. You can chose what stage you want by either looking at the rolling stages, listening to the music (if it's the default Tekken 7 one) or checking the timer.

Moreover humans really don't like randomness so they are most likely going to press random at the same time - one will press random super fast, another will press random when earing some part of the music

Its a real shame hes not gonna qualify for the Finals. I would argue hes easily a top 5 player in the world right now but he hasn't gone out to tournaments. His only real chance was the Korean tournament and he got top 16 only losing to JDCR/Noroma the two finalists. I really think that next year they should split up the regions to Korea/Japan/Southeast Asia, its insane that the strongest Tekken country is lumped in with the rest of Asia and the only two people who can travel consistently from there are JDCR/Saint. The current system just rewards whoever travels the most like the Yamasa crew. Or include some more auto qualifying spots. Like Noroma might not qualify for the finals even after winning the Korean Masters, the most stacked tournament of the year, simply because he didn't travel earlier.
