Wrong. The rules are made by the community. Which is why they're quickly accepted and why the second rules were changed on r/kappa people split and moved to a new subreddit.
everyone played g&g and demon's crest. pretty much every one of capcom's fighting games between sf2 and sf4 was only known by arcadeboars.
Infinity Stone mechanics are pretty cool.
I think more fighting games should adopt mechanics like this in the future.
Imagine if someone made a fighting game with like 10 rounds and you got gold in between rounds based on how well you did. You could use your gold to buy equipment for your character (it doesn't carry over between games).
Some examples of items would be an item that makes you immune to special moves (in both damage and hitstun) for 10 seconds, or an item that summons a helper that attacks periodically, etc.
This joke doesn't work because there are 2 Darkstalkers characters in the game as opposed to 0 X-men
Sure, if you played it before the 2.1 changes you'll see some improvements, like the training room remembering your settings, the option to befriend CFN profiles or blacklist them and the icon thing to make ragequitters not play the game. Plus most of the newcomers are fun, although that's subjective.

I've been with my boyfriend for three years plus and one thing that has always bugged me is how mad/irrational he gets over fighting games. We play various games e.g. mmorpgs, fps, strategy, action, adventure, and everything etc.
However if he plays a competitive fighting game online he gets crazy over it. The second things don't go his way he will say things like:
>It's a bad netcode
>They're hacking/cheating
>They're playing like a dick
>He will say the game is glitchy
>He will yell/grunt/hit his controller on the bed
It really frustrates me because when I tell him maybe he should turn it off or play a different game when he is getting frustrated he will act like I'm the asshole. Does anyone here have some tips for me or ways I can try to help? I dread any time he plays fighting games because of how he acts out.
