friends, i'm balls deep in this WOTC campaign with all the integrated and have not yet received any prompt leading to SPARKs. what gives? do i need to make contact with a certain region or some other meme in order for it to appear?

Are the faction weaknesses always the same? Is the Assassin always weak to Reapers, Hunter to Skirmishers and Warlock to Templars?

They're random, your first Chosen is always weak to the faction you started with though.

No, in my game Hunter was weak as fuck against Templars and had the brittle weakness making fighting him a joke. I saved him for last because I liked his bants but he was too easy to get rid of.

For every later run I do, should I turn off that intergrated "Lost and Found" thing? I imagine that takes away some of the randomness and makes the start easier? On the upside, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that it locks the Ayylmao Rulers to their facilities.

Does the game really revolve around killing shit the turn the pod activates?

My friend was telling me that late game is "easy" but shit can hit the fan fast if certain aliens get a turn.

Also, I am never taking off mind shields again. I removed them from all my soldiers to test other utility. Warlock shows up and mind scorches my whole fucking squad because I had them kind of close. The bounce range is nuts!!! I am never taking off mind shield. Luckily I had a spark with me.

I feel pigeon holed into using mind shields.

The game is about balancing the action economy as much as possible, in your favor.

The strongest tactics revolve around removing chances for enemy action while increasing your own options.

I'm trying to make it so that he plays keep-away with you taking rifle shots, and if you get close he'll try to get away and throw grenades to distract you, but his AI is so simplistic I pretty much have to rewrite all of it. The Assassin has three long AI branches, one of the longest of any enemy in the game, the Hunter has one tree that's smaller than some of the more complex regular enemies. I wonder if he got rushed through development.

Assassin is Jake's waifu so they spent more time on her.

This is really good. It's inconsistent with his character that he tends to come towards you when activated and doesn't try to move away while fighting. He claims "close range isn't my style" but this isn't reflected at all mechanically besides pointless grapple spam.

Hoping to have something ready by the end of the week. I probably won't be doing much with the Assassin unless you guys think there's something particularly wrong with her, she seems fine to me.

I'll try to have something ready soon if any anons want to mess around with it, the only .ini files I've touched are DefaultAI and DefaultCharacterData_SoldierSkills so I can't imagine there being many conflicts with other mods.
