I always thought defense was better. Reinhardt, Bravy Roy, Brave Lyn feel like the only truly great offensive units to me now. Blades are still good but not quite what they used to be, offensive melee units without a movement advantage like cavs are a pain to use. Meanwhile you have Hector, Ike, Xander, QR loli dragons and a bunch of other viable defensive units.
