I honestly couldn't get into this game for the first couple of hours. I quit my first playthrough ten minutes in when the OId Man asked me to go back to the top of the tower and use my binoculars to mark points on the map. Having played MGSV to shit, this new task felt so derivative that I immediately shut the game down.

It wasn't until a month or two later, after watching some humorous Youtube vids of the game, that I decided to give it another shot. I was still floored by how railroaded the initial section was. The game was so over-hyped that any knock against its so-called "freedom" was an instant trigger. But, lacking any other interesting titles to play, I trudged through, forcing myself to ignore the open world because I knew, like with all open world games, that the act of exploring and discovering was made infinitely easier by skills acquired later in the game (I wasn't completely wrong either).

Still, that initial run was fraught with discontent even as I stumbled into Kakariko Village. All my negative feelings vanished once I met Paya. She was 100%, unadulterated, clear weeaboo pandering, and I fucking loved it. Her appearance and dialogue encouraged me to continue through the game. After all, I HAD to figure out where that birthmark was. Pushing forward, I eventually ran across Purah, one of those "legal lolis" that try to make you feel less guilty about fapping to them.

As my game progressed, I ran across more and more potential love-interests, each covering a diverse range of archetypes and displaying their attraction to the hero far more overtly than in any previous entry.

Of course, after forcing myself through that initial grind, I started discovering the finer gameplay elements that caused so many people to fall in love with this game. I, too, was admittedly hooked. Still, the thing that keeps me coming back to BotW more than anything is that delicious harem and the wide berth of fetishes it covers.

TL;DR Paya made me fall in love with BotW.

Paya is love, Paya is life.

She doesn't deserve to have her heart broken.

I am going to marry Riju!

are we getting DLC information in the direct or is it all 3DS stuff?

Genocide all Gerudo.

It's Switch and 3ds stuff. We have no idea if they will even talk about the DLC.

I wonder if all the fissures in Lorule got fixed or it's just broken up forever

Paya would even sacrifice her own happiness if it meant you could be happy. She is perfection.

Also, I need more Paya pics. Someone dump, pls.

A game where Ganon-chan plays a neutral role and the enemy is something else would be cool

keep Ganon evil and don't try and reform him. Make new Gerudo Voe and have him be friends with Link something like being a fellow knight since I assume Hyrule's army recruits from all races equally

Also modern Ganondorf pic related

...

Are you hype for the direct, /lozg/?

I'm ready to be disappointed

Realistically I expect them to promote the amiibo and reiterate the release date of the DLC and Amiibo. We might get a trailer that reveals very little if anything new.

Ideally, I'd like a major trailer and even some gameplay with a clear example of what the amiibo do

I am, but not so much for Zelda.

The last time I was hyped for a Nintendo announcement was when they were announcing Brawl characters

...

I'm pretty hyped for more No More Heroes

I want bottles and bug nets to make a comeback. Elixirs need to be more powerful and food needs to be nerfed especially hearty and endura. I'd probably have food be entirely hearts and all effects be elixir based. Bombs should not be infinite but they should be a lot stronger

Checking in again, has mipha user gotten his doll yet? A cute picture in exchange.

I'd do cooking like this.
>You can hold a lot of food, but it applies its effects over time instead of instantly.
>Hearty food only gives you extra hearts if you "overheal" (so if you have 6 max hearts, you're missing 2, and you eat hearty food that heals for 6, you'll end up with 10 hearts, 6 permanent and 4 temporary).
>Actual meals that require varied ingredients like cakes, curry and stew give better effects than just cooking individual items.
>Elixirs and potions apply their effects instantly, but you can only hold as many as you have bottles.
>All of these items have to be held in your hands to be used, so you can't just pause the game and use them.
As much as I like the idea of it cooking in BotW as is completely breaks the game in half with basically no effort.

I think he said he gets it either October or November, not sure if it's connected but I did see someone made a small Mipha plush a while ago .

So you would be able to stack seared foods in your scenario or eat a ton of apples to refill all your hearts. I'd add not being able to eat raw meat or raw meat giving the same minimal effects as dubious food

Not that user but the idea of a food bag that can only hold a certain amount of food would be nice. Like the bait bag in WW. I hate how I can just pause the game and eat 40 mushrooms to get back to full health, there should be something set against you eating the same item a lot

diminishing returns the more of a certain food (raw, cooked over a fire or part of a proper meal) you eat the less it heals you until all you're doing is clearing inventory space

>wouldn't

What about a hunger meter? I mean it would make sense right? No one could eat that much food so add in a hunger meter so that you can heal with food but only eat so much. An apple would fill up the bar by 10/100 and the cooked steaks would be like 50/100, just as an example off the top of my head. I can't remember how much those items heal you on HP but the amount could be what determines the hunger meter being filled

Nah the food is supposed to be the equivalent of picking hearts up but made a touch more realistic. All we want to do is make it so you're incentivised to learn recipes and cook proper meals as well as ensure that single ingredient meals aren't good enough on their own.

A hunger meter would be adding mechanics that go away from simply refilling your health

>zant's robes and various masks
already writing the cheque

>The game was so over-hyped that any knock against its so-called "freedom" was an instant trigger.
Assuming this isn't just pasta or a shitpost, this seems like such a weird statement, when all the hype came from footage showcasing that first part. Guess this is the weird product of listening to hype but not actually viewing its source.

I'd do it similarly but with a few key differences.
>same on holding a lot of food, healing over time and overhealing for hearty
>make it so food ONLY heals on its own
>make specialty meals influence buffs taken for a period afterward, for example let, say, salmon meuniére boost the duration of defence buffs taken afterward; likewise reduce the impact of dragon items on cooking buffs but make them add a tonne of hearts to cooking
>likewise on elixirs requiring bottles
>remove inventory pausing altogether, make it so only the save/load screen pauses the game in case you need to go afk- this would keep the workload of implementation low, which is an important consideration, while still not allowing you to freeze time and restore all your health by eating 40 apples then unpause

Zant's robes better give me spin attack/stamina reduction. I should get special Twili powers when wearing Midna's helmet and the robes too.

I know it's a /v/ "leak", and I remember speculating where the DLC 1 armour would be until we found it it was literally around Hyrule Field, as to be easily accessible at the start of the game and not in areas that are fitting. Well, a couple of things were, but not all of them. So I wonder if they do throw in all this new clothing/armour that whether it would also be put in that central area or spread out this time.

>surviving fragment of Ganon's power

It's going to be another blight isn't it.

I knew there'd be some excuse to keep the bloodmoons running, and thought a while ago that there'd be some remaining power or influence, because they wouldn't remove bloodmoons. But then again...what happens when you find this fragment? Would it be a blight that looks the same like any other? Would it take the forms of the Champions of old and make you fight them? Possess Zelda and you get to have a good old game of tennis?

Yeah I'd have to take this so called leak with a bucket of salt, but it makes me think anyway.

D O R F

Any ideas where this new "dungeon" is going to take place?

...

youtube.com/watch?v=-Tdu4uKSZ3M

Under Hyrule Castle, maybe? Even deeper than the basement you fight Calamity Ganon in.

Akkala Citadel or riot

None whatsoever. If it really involves a fragment of Ganon's power being the boss, then I'm not too sure where he'd be. Maybe somewhere deeper under the castle, below where you fight him initially. But I'd rather it be something unique in terms of aesthetic and boss, and not look like a super shrine or another Divine Beast, and the boss not looking/being like another blight, but actually unique in some form. What this surviving fragment would look like I don't know. You'd automatically assume it would be the same colour as malice. You know, that purply goo that damages you.

But if a fragment survived, and let's go as far as to say was sentient, where would he go? Another question would be how it survived. I shouldn't take this /v/ leak as something official though, but it wouldn't sound completely impossible.

Maybe it'll be at the Breach of Demise. The place seemed ominously empty

this joke never gets old

>It's going to be another blight isn't it.
Scourge of Ireland, Potatoblight Ganon.

forget the dungeon. I bought the DLC for the best shirt in the game

>Random Yiga have a very small chance of being Ganon himself

I'm still sure it has something to do with the Yiga Clan, so I'm hoping for a thing at the bottom of the hole in their base.

Is this real?
If so, what are all the sick new apparels?

Plot twist: they'll announce DLC 3 and 4 and won't even mention Champion's Ballad

I'd be okay with that

they'll announce the DLC's being delayed

Lobster shirt is confirmed by NoE but that's all we know

Metroid cross-promotion. Link gets the Varia Suit and Space Jump ability

I'm thinking about the kind of training Gerudo Guards and Hylian Knights have to go through. In Ocarina the Gerudo training grounds included horseback archery, archery on foot, combat sections, agility sections and puzzle solving sections. The only thing it lacked was some kind of stealth training. In BotW, all they seem to do is spear training and we're told they run laps arounds the desert as punishment. I suppose laps around the desert with sandstorms, Molduga and lvl 2 heat sounds impressive but considering they were shocked at Barta's almost failure at exploring the Leviathan ruins and making it back I suspect it's more a threatened punishment than an actual one.

We learn nothing about how knights are trained, I don't count Hyrule Warriors opening cutscene, other than at some point they battle a Stalnox to earn a Hylian shield but we never see any knights with one besdies Link long after their any other knights to compare him to so as to determine whether he's the standard or the exception.

Seems to me there's no way to tell who would win in a battle between the 2 forces if they lacked their champions and only sent the grunts.

They could just wish on their tri force and have everything fixed

but there are no lobsters in the game

I wonder if Zelda will actually be a companion or just wait around as an NPC while you do shit

A companion seems unlikely if it's actually set in the same overworld

probably just an NPC that follows you and hopefully will put some distance between herself and any enemies you come across so it's not just a long escort mission.

So long as get cutscenes of Zelda interacting with the leaders and champions of each race in the present day on top of flashbacks of her recruiting the old Champions I'll be happy

I want cutscenes of Link and her hanging out, screw everyone else

Nintendo isn't going to go all in on the romance and if they do it'll be butchered in localisation. Without romance and without interacting with other important NPCs what exactly do you expect to see that'll grip the audience about finally having Zelda along for the ride

>Zelda meets Teba
>doesn't like him
>anoints Kass as the new champion instead

Considering she appointed Revalli I don't think attitude has anything to do with it

>Nintendo isn't going to go all in on the romance
I don't care about romance, I want to take Zelda down into a shrine and show off my cooking skills
If she really does follow you around I'm going to drag her to see Robbie, Purah, and the Deku Tree first

How about just making overeating a bad thing. Eating too much decreases your health and makes you a bit slower, since overeating in real life gives you a stomach ache.

emotes DLC when? I just want to sit or lie down under a tree or a grass field. Think this would make a good immersion

>not taking her to Mipha's bedroom first to gloat about winning the link bowl
come on now

>slacking on the job

How would you toggle the emotes? With an emote rune?

>Link needs the slate to even feel or react
Spooky

Teba's a sweetheart anyway. He comes off as abrasive at first because he likes to keep to himself but he even apologises for his bluntness, something ravioli ravioli give me the formuoli would never dream of doing.

devs very rarely include an emote system for singleplayer games sadly

which is funny because I see a shitload of let's players and streamers using them directed at their audience in dark souls and monster hunter, but of course nintendo is even less likely to take notice of that kind of thing since they do not seem to fully grasp the concept of online culture

well he just stares blankly in the memories without it

I like that he hangs out with his kid at the range, I thought that was cute.
I feel bad for his wife though

can someone address as to why Link's gauntlet cloth has the same pattern as these. It's on the champion's tunic

I meant this one

>"ganon" has no ganondorf form
>Link spends most of the game dressed in women's clothing and can become the sole owner of a set of male gerudo clothing
>Link is shown with gerudo features in the tapestry
do u really need to ask dude

The game claims the Gerudo are big into fabrics and clothing. Zelda probably hired them to make the outfits. I doubt the princess knows how to sew team jerseys.

>activating Mipha's grace in front of King Dorephan does nothing

I don't know what I expected

then who was calamity???

nobody else seems to be wearing something with that pattern though, only the blue jerseys with their respective patterns (Link has the Master Sword, Mipha has Vah Ruta, etc). maybe I'm overthinking this but I just find it curious why did they decide to make it look like that

The princess doesn't know how to do much of anything.

she can cook.
unless Link was just eating politely

probably shows Link is everyone's Champion not just Hylians. The Zora, Rito and Gron are minimalist as far as clothing and the Sheikah are unseen because NINJAS

would you turn down the princess's cooking? keep in mind that she could expel you from the knights or order your execution

>then who was calamity???
Zelda.

She knows how to get everyone killed.

pic related could and probably would. but not BOTW Zelda

Except showing us that booty

she knows how to be perfect

So this theoretical Gerudo Hero had the easiest adventure of them all.
>Princess in full control of her sealing power
>fully powered Master Sword
>all Divine Beasts pilots know their beasts inside out and have them on standby
>loyal Guardians to handle Ganon’s monsters
>all of this before Ganon even appears
That being said he must have rejected the princess otherwise Zelda would be Gerudo

two things about that

first, the tapestry was a prophecy about the current link

second, we do not know that gerudo voe mating with hylian vai has the same outcome as gerudo vai mating with hylian voe, as far as we know the child always takes the race of the mother like in elder scrolls which would explain the extremely homogeneous racial tribes with no individuals of mixed race (ie sheikah/hylian, or for that matter hylian/zora, given that the two getting married even when one is the eldest child of a royal family is not out of the question means they can likely interbreed).

we see a lot of mixed Sheikah and I don't there is even such a thing as a typical Hylian any more because of how they've mixed with other tribes, clans and races. I think cross species is impossible with the exception of Gerudo if you consider them a species

>don't think

>long flowing hair
>luscious beard
>pronounced nose
>Champion's Tunic
>Red pants (probably the Desert Voe pants)
>blue boots
>either a green cape or the colour is fading

the head looks like pig Ganon grew a beard and mane

Tapestry sewn by Gerudo. Those giant female statues are supposed to be the sages. It's like how Renaissance art makes Jesus look like an Italian.

Who holds a sword straight up while lunging like that. Is this like holding a pistol gangster style?

How do the heroines attributes match up with the sages
>Skill = Impa
>Spirit = Nabooru
>Endurance = Darunia
>Knowledge = Zelda
>Flight = Rauru
>Motion = Ruta
>Gentleness = Saria

I wish she knew how to fake a British accent
