What's some really good random skills to roll on soldiers and hero units? I know Templars really dig Bladestorm, Reaper and Fortress, and Sharpshooters probably still really dig Rupture, but how about everyone else?

You have to get a Covert Op roll that has a locate rape dungeon as one of the missions you can go on, then go on it, then bust them out.

The bust out mission sucks donkey dick cause it's always a 3 man squad.

You stealth the thing. If done properly, you won't ever need to make an attack.

Low visibility makes for interesting missions

Dash the first turn.

It buys you, like, at a minimum, an extra turn for all your stupid overwatch crawling, and it's typically the safest turn to dash on.

I made this in like 20 minutes when i too came to the sudden realization that the wraith knight helm looks great on Templars, of course the big problem was the orange, so i made this.

And Shadowstep. And Quickdraw.

Reapers can get fucking Shredder which combined with Banish god damn makes up for their shit damage.
Reapers can also get Squadsight, Killzone, and Holo-Targetting so after you blow 4 times you still have a good sniper to fall back on.
They can also get Dead Eye which they have the aim and mobility to take advantage of even better than Sharpshooters.

Skirmishers can get Saturation Fire to go with Interrupt or Volatile Mix and Tactical Rigging to go with Total Combat.

What determines whether or not a Priest goes into Stasis when you try to kill them? Is it an anti-OHKO move or what? Because it seems wildly inconsistent to me

Actually, tier 1 priests have a 20% chance, tier 2 have a 50% chance, and tier 3 have a 66% chance.

Purifiers have a 50% chance of exploding or not.

Does melee always kill?

Is it me or are supply raids the biggest pain in the ass to deal with?

Feels like I have to make a early retreat in early game, it just feels impossible to get a good amount.

Honestly unless you get shit crate rolls I don't think this reflects my experience.

Every crate mission I've ever had was either flooded with Lost and beyond hope of success or decided before the 3rd Advent airlift.

Even if I never made it to a single crate they couldn't get more than me.

I think I've lost at most 3 crates in a successful mission and of those 1 was just an incredibly shit crate roll that was out of reach of my entire squad when it was tagged.

I purposely don't grab crates until they are marked to increase the chances of marked crates spawning nearer to you than further away
