Never, it would make too much money from the fujos.
All the magic dances if your demon's MP is high enough to use them more than once, probably not since you're still early in the game. Racial skills are important too, make sure you fuse demons with healing/increased movement skills.

Not sure but I recall them being fairly common encounters. I think stat boost farming in general is a lot less tedious in DDS2 than in DDS1, mostly thanks to Item Find. I recommend equipping that skill on all your active party members since it is still not yet clear whether it stacks or not.

Have two or three demons with movement skills, healers, mages, brutes and serviceable replacement demons in case your mains die.

Protip: don't buy the best demons from auctions; buy as many low leveled demons for piss cheap as you can, preferably the ones with enhanced stats, and fuse their way into something good. You'll save an insane amount of money that can be better spent for the compendium, and this tip aplies through the whole game.

It should honestly. Smartphones are several levels higher than the 3DS. Powerwise, the 3DS is a laughing stock next to modern phones. Plus, Sega is making the game, not Atlus. Sega doesn't reuse assets as often as Atlus, and they have way more money. Now what's really important is how intrusive the gatcha stuff is. Since this game is free, we know it will play a big role. But I hope that you can at least complete the game without having to bust out your wallet.
