Fucking filesize limits.

ay hol up

Why do I always feel compelled to build near an ocean? Why can't I be comfortable in the center of the huge landmass away from huge bodies of water?

minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1272337-mo-creatures-v12-0-0-for-minecraft-1-12-1

Time for everyone to move to 1.12. One of the best mods ever made is now supported.

I like rivers myself. It's all about boat travel.

Link to the fucking previous thread.

fuck you faggot I didn't want to make this thread but I wanted one to be up.

Mo' Creatures is a blight on the Minecraft modding community. It's insanely hypocritical for someone to make an unauthorized modification of a closed source game and then try to assert distribution rights over the free modification.

/mcg/, do you think a standalone version of TerraFirmaCraft's metalworking system combined with Tinker's Construct's tool creation could work as a standalone mod?

>Need to smith tool parts on an Anvil like in TFC, but instead of requiring you to line it up perfectly, have an acceptable range and the closer you get to the center, the better bonus % you get.
>Builds tools like in TiCon (i.e. combine parts in the Tool Forge), with the base stats reflecting the sum or average of the bonuses for individual parts.
>Like in TiCon, different materials have different bonuses. Remove the nonsensical ones like Cactus Hammers and *groan* Slime.
>apply effects/enchantments/modifiers using some middle-ground between vanilla Enchanting and TiCon modifiers.

I like this idea because it allows things to be modularized and combined in a more flexible way. Then you could make a modpack with
>RWG for sweet terrain
>UBC for dank underground
>CoFHWorld for muh giant rare ore veins
>this mod for a tool system that fucking makes sense.

Or you could use ModTweaker to
>allow forming machine parts on an Anvil for other mods.
>add recipes to other mods' metal formers, rolling machines and such to make tool parts more easily.

Anyone else get a bug where the map renders chunks and blocks invisible? I want to play again but having the tops of mountains and seeing through the world when breaking blocks is shit. Looks like this in pic related.

They don't call 'em meme versions for nothing.

Cause living next to the sea is top tier comfy.

It is hypocritical, but even Mojang themselves allow it - although, as far as I know, they do believe that modders which want to assert distribution rights should keep their mods private in the first place as to avoid the inevitable.

I still remember when almost every major mod had requirements to acquire distribution rights in the first place. Those were dark days.

Old Server List since everyone keeps omitting it from the OP

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w0Nywo6sZcexcYb46hTOfAwElaeUlPoCC4DKRFcMWYQ/

post more of that
it looks comfy

There's just a few mods I want to use that only exist on meme versions. Did Mojang even add anything to the game past 1.7?

which biome is best biome?

There isn't much else yet.
I'm hoping to make it into a full blown port town before I delete it out of disgust.

Nothing worth updating for in my opinion.

where should I move?

Bottom right by the fortress and village. Make a railroad or other transportation to the sea dungeon.

1.7.10

>it's another "living in the desert" episode

gonna need some desert inspiration for my base then

You could clear out the water from the temple or live in the stronghold. Nether is an option if you don't mind pigmen or use a torch mod. Connect the areas up with the stream or trains and live in the grassland. You'll likely just build a cobble box anyways.

anyone here checking out the new Minecraft on the 3ds?

Hasn't every child who wants Minecraft already bought it? Parents can't keep falling for this right?

No because i'm busy playing Minecraft on my DS.
youtube.com/watch?v=PJwKPcSMvwM

alright here's the plan

>Time for everyone to move to 1.12.

>$29.99
>no 3D or multiplayer at launch

this is a joke

Waiting for a titlekey drop, senpai.

how the fuck did this game become "finished" with villages as fucking retarded and broken as they are

proper village mechanics and usefulness when

There's so many things in vanilla minecraft that weren't "finished" I could spend the whole night naming them. Don't forget about game-breaking bugs.

Mojang nowadays is just a bunch of hacks getting money from children

Are grass paths supposed to revert back to grass after two or three in-game days?

I don't think so. Have some in my 1.11.2 base and they are still there.

I haven't noticed them ever revert.
Quickest way to get rid of them is just hoe them without water nearby.

1.10 serb WHEN?
exploring the betweenlands in MP would be fun.

what kind of serb

what do you mean? im saying a modded minecraft server on the version 1.10
there are some exclusive mods, i think they would be fun to try instead of doing thaumcraft a gorrilianth time.

w h i c h
m o d s

Got anymore of that? The link to the whole thing?
>There's just a few mods I want to use that only exist on meme versions.
Then make a pack of mainly meme versions only mods, if you are gonna play with the same mods from 1.7 then why even update?

youtube.com/watch?v=MHCdCbTxypU
youtube.com/watch?v=SM7nLNAzd_Q

I forgot this one
youtube.com/watch?v=W6CjO0H2j0s
You should also build a tower of stone
With our flesh and bone

i was thinking a community vote like most /mcg/ serbs would be nice,
but the mods i for sure wanted to try were:
The betweenlands
cyberware
valkierian warfare

Halloween is just around the corner, what are some good spooky/scary mods?

I think that happens because the game is loading blocks elsewhere.

Did you use creative mode?

>beautiful shorelines and bays, island bars, and more
>vast expanses of ocean, some shallow, some deep and jagged
>ZERO fucking content for any of it
what the fuck man

hello page ten my old friend

So, I have a PC copy of the game. Had it since really early in development, whatever. But, I don't have a PC anymore. My desktop died, then my laptop died right after. So my options are mobile, and PS4. I was thinking PS4 was probably a little bit better. I don't really mind not having mods I just kind of want to spelunk and shit, will that be good enough to do that?

sauce on texture pack?

Pretty sure that's either Soartex Fanver or Invictus.

Wew, what a dead general. Haven't been around for days and it's even dedder.

Eh, if it happens, just pause the game and do something else while the game loads the surroundings.

oh yeah, definitely Immersive engineering, they added a bunch of cool stuff.

TFC Reditus is way 2much for me to run comfortably in VR, but just TFC (and bibliocraft) seems to run just peachy. It crashed when I tried to throw a javelin tho, hopefully that's not a persistent issue

>build a giant fucking tower
>mate is supposed to follow me up and lay the ladders so I can get back down
>he gets drunk and passes out

>not carrying a bucket of water with you whenever you go

So Divine Journey updated
And he added Stone, Cobble and Netherrack (BY POPILAR DEMAND) to Veinminer list

Quickly made an unbreakable Pickaxe from Magical Wood
Got down to bedrock and started making a giant hole
Also bedrock is flat
Was pretty fun
Until I hit lava
Fuck lava, it's annoying

No?

Toggle VBOs on and off.

>It's a smelter doubles ore mod

If I add immersive engineering should I not have other tech mods like thermal expansion and ic2 for the best experience?

>made a pan like everyone suggested
>barelly does any damage and knocks everyone back so much i have to spend 3 hours waiting for them to come back and hit again
Reeeeeee

>It's a smelter triples ore mod

Yes.

>It's equivalent exchange

Dude, you skipped a few steps
After that is
>It's a smelter quadruples ores mod
Then
> It's a smelter quintuples ores mod
Then
> It's a magical crops mod
Then
> It's Agricraft 10/10/10 Magical Crops
And only then it's
> It's Equivalent Exchange

Not really. IE needs some other mods to fill the gaps. You can't do much with it alone.

>It's a smelter doesn't double ore and not really even better than basic furnace but you still have to use it to make bronze and shit, mod.

>its creative

>its resources from thin air mod

>it's BEEEES

Bees are fine since they require autism

>it's a mod that's otherwise well balanced but looked over the fact macerators give increased output meaning overunity is available from the start

So wait, you mean GTNH is official /mcg/ mod?

>it's a miner plus bees plus ore processing line trigintuples ores mod

Sounds like your average tech pack.

How do i bee

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mendelian_inheritance
Legit autism

just bee urself

...

What 1.10.2 modpack do you guys recommend for someone that's been playing infinity 1.7.10?

>tfw too many waypoints

age of engineering, maybe?

...

What sort of tools do you guys use for planning out large builds?
I'm planning on building a castle and I'd like for it too look nice.

>waypoint beams on
You deserve that clusterfuck

a pen and a paper

or a digital analogue :^) of those

>getting tired of building every 5 minutes
please help

Pen and paper?
Good, that's what I was using.

Mind posting some nice looking Thaumcraft builds?

Fucking parasites I swear...
twitter.com/matrexsvigil/status/908335941814759424

>Hambeast responsible for awful bloated food mod
>Begs for cash from children
>Freeloading catches up

Ahahaha hahaha oh wow. Too bad I just know the sycophants will bail her ass out.

Does she even actively work on Harvestcraft anymore?

>shill posted it to r/ftb
>deleted within 30min, directly violates sub rules about asking for money
laffin

Does anybody even use that mod? Most people hate having to eat in Minecraft to start with.

I think quite a few packs actually dropped it when a version of it broke feeding wolves because they're replacing vanilla items now.

Speaking of Age of Engineering, I'm trying to use it with MultiMC, but whenever I try to run it, I get this error message:
>Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 3932160KB object heap
Each time I increase the maximum memory allocation, it needs more space. What am I doing wrong?
