I just hope all night is enough time to come up with ideas. I know how better to write Doomguy acclimating to the monsters that doesn't read like a goofy greentext scenario. That's not the hard part, though. The hard part comes when I get to the new chapter, where I have to decide on whether or not a certain someone dies horribly, as I'm not sure whether I need them to die for the next plot point to have meaning. Everyone needs something to rally on, and I'm wondering if I need someone to die at this point for that to happen. I have something set up that might make it more plausible and sensible for them to reconcile and live, but the more I look at it, the more of an asspull it seems to be.

I won't lie I had put FF7 off until I got to listen to Voices of the Lifestream. In all frankness the game is as good as the remix soundtrack is, but the best part is that it's thematically a perfect fit. If you like one you'll like the other.

Death in writing is a strong narrative drive, but don't forget that this is Undertale we're talking about. Relying on the death of a character to drive the plot forward can be seen as a narrative crutch unless well done.
