The game is fine. Nobody is talking about it (((here))) because this place will never be anything else than capcuk general.
Mixture of very stagnant tournament scene, game being somewhat figured out already and tekken being a pretty different game which is mostly about incredibly specific moment for every match up.

Because it's killed by a ton of moderate complaints that make the game look like an early access release. The core fighting game aspect is feature complete but everything else about the game and quality of life feels like it's an alpha. Lobbies are shit, no replays, loading times are awful, netcode is so-so to questionable, training mode is eh, lack of content. The first three are dealbreakers if you want to enjoy this game and try to take it seriously/competitively. This is all without even touching how some of the mechanics of the core fighting system are esoteric/outdated/plain dumb.
There is that new red effect they found in the game files after Menat patch.

lmao not him, i have him filtered, but I haven't seem him in a long time. Everything I'm saying I've said since day one, I hit greens in week 1 and stopped playing around the second week. Everything I said the game is lacking is a fact. I'm not sitting 40-45 seconds between every match nor trying to play in those fuckawful player lobbies.
It'll be whatever you make it out to be, if you go into the game already thinking it's bad then you're not going to have fun.

Basically if you don't enjoy beating animals to death repeatedly you won't enjoy it
the fun in MH comes from killing big monsters > grinding better equipment > killing more big monsters
there's not much to it. I think both MH and DD are pretty braindead and boring as hell
they're clunky and esoteric action games but there's a degree of charm and polish to them that makes them playable. you just have invest enough time to really get into the swing of things. also hunting online in a party is super fun.

I managed to spend some few hundred hours with MH4U just going through all the missions up to the hardest tier and I stopped to grind for new gear just few times.
In MH it's much more about player skill than the numbers in the gear.
