The true one.

Alliance have a little bit easier time due to salvation and fear ward but it's not a big deal. Most if not all world firsts were horde side during actual retail but I'd have to relook it up to make sure I'm not confusing it with tbc shit.
The biggest differences are racials and the shaman/paladin thing, the biggest differences between those (besides the obvious) would be things like windfury totem, blessing of freedom, blessing of salvation (less threat means more dps), etc.
Racials like will of the forsaken and stun resist are considered better for pvp than alliance counterparts.
Horde normally has longer pvp queue times compared to alliance, that would be a major difference. Which can also mean a lot more horde 60s out in the world in gank squads.

I feel like alliance is slightly easier for pve but that's my opinion, also feel like alliance is better in organized pvp due to paladins - but that often horde pugs stomp alliance pugs, and even with paladins if you're playing with paladins that are freedom'ing themselves and not cleansing, it's almost worthless.

first 5 should ALWAYS be improved corruption
then go into the demonology tree and pick anything of these that is available but use fel stamina/intellect as filler points.
pick fel domination and master summoner as soon as possible

should add that you can change Fel Intellect to anything else you find you prefer. that was just my preference. I feel that it's something that is usefull more often than other options

What is the playstyle like? I'm new to warlock. I figure that anything works for dungeons while leveling anyhow, I just want to avoid being rogued as much as possible while leveling.
My first thought was points in imp voidwalker for the sacrifice but like I said I have no real frame of reference yet to know fuck-all.

Also if i'm understanding that right, that brings summoning down to 0.5 when you pop fel dom, right? And 6 secs otherwise due to the master summ points. So that would mean if you have the shards you can resummon super fast.

you apply dots and then wand shit down OR apply dots and shadow bolt/life tap
you use voidwalker in PvE and imp in dungeon just for his buffs (later in dungeons you just sacrifice succubus)
you can take out elites by fear locking them
your gear should have intellect and stamina cause of life tap
Also, you can choose to go in 7 points in the affliction tree before you start demonology just to take improved life tap which you will use constantly. at 40 you can choose whether to respec or wait

I'd suggest looking at a guide - you definitely do not need to follow it exactly and on this server there are several quests you can safely ignore, but it will give you a good idea of what your zone progression should look like. So it helps to at least have it open in another window or something.
Alternatively, if you really hate using guides (that's totally ok), you can google for vanilla wow map by level and see what zones have quests for what level ranges - and then you'll never wonder "where next" again.

its literally elynwforest -> westfall -> redridge

redridge is fine, just not a ton of quests and you end up with several that make you run clear across the zone that is mostly a waste of time.
there is some decent grinding there if someone liked that. Other zones are better, westfall sucks as well.
If you go elwynn/westfall/redridge you'll find that someone who went elwynn/loch/darkshore is leveling faster than you even with their annoying trip across wetlands.

1) look at the fucking map
2) find the rest of the zones for your level that you haven't visited
3) kill youurself cause you're too retarded to live

I played on Warmane for a bit

Biggest problem I had was leveling TOO FAST, you can't afford any of your skills and you outlevel your weapons so as a melee you're fucked and get gimped hard

I think this is a problem for all servers that have an EXP boost.

i like bosses that don't work too user, makes me feel good about content i was too shit to do on retail.

Warmane offers servers that don't have a shop, but they're completely dead, I'm talking like 400-500 players dead

The servers that do have the shops/exp boosts are around 5-6k players according to actual reports and not faked population shit

If someone gave a fuck they could grind out those 10 levels anyhow. Darkshore has other things, you cna ignore the moonstalker fangs in my opinion, as well as the escort (tho that pisses me off) and yeah, ppl always either fuck it up or fuck up your hand in, then you're waiting 15 minutes.

Will there ever be a good Horde guild on Elysium? Seems like it's always led by the biggest avatarfag autists around which cannot lead to anything good. Also it feels like the Alliance guild try their best to ruin it from the inside by ironically rolling in.
MoH is so unappealing. Fuck leveling to be benched by garbage players because stuck at preraid which nobody runs anymore. I need my MMO fix but can't be motivated to pick a side.

Friend, i know it's said a lot, but you should consider avoiding Veeky Forums in most online games. This server would not be an exception.
Elysium is nowhere near perfect but there are guilds playing at all hours at all ranges of progress. Vanilla turn-over rate is high so no matter what you play, you are bound to find a spot somewhere.
Finding a group of people you enjoy that is active at times that work for you should be the priority, in my opinion. Attempting to play with Veeky Forums while doing your best to ignore the obnoxious attention whores who have literally 24 hours a day to make your experience not-fun doesn't seem worth it at all. Keep in mind that these dudes aren't playing here because they are nostalgic or have deep love of WoW - it's to meme, shitpost, and create attention for themselves (positive or negative, doesn't matter). That's literally it.

Nah, the guilds were mostly okay as far as clearing stuff. You can argue about horde guilds vs alliance guild, and it isn't like MoH hasn't been raiding decently - and the nost/k2 versions of that did fine as well.
I don't think the clearing content is an issue (or a high bar, really) but dealing with a lot of them seems pretty intolerable. That's purely my opinion so someone else can feel differently and that's fine. I've played with some chill people from MoH but the majority I've dealt with are obnoxious teenagers with all of the garbage that implies. And again, it's only an opinion, but I feel like they are more of a yahoo chatroom to share memes and porn primarily and a guild second, and this thread is often just their dumping ground to act cunty to each other (or falseflag) anonymously. Kids being kids, basically.

I don't think you've missed any train. Like I said, turnover is high in vanilla. And this is assuming you're a normal person able to have normal conversations. If you're just joining random guilds and whining to be boosted, then you'll have a shitty time.
It CAN be hard to find the right group, you're right. And no one can say what fits for you besides you. And that even could be a guild from here, who knows? I'd suggest finding people playing at the times you do first and going from there. Even hopping around leveling guilds while leveling is a good way to find friends, and random dungeons or questing is a good way to meet people.
