Im a Voraephiliac and to tell you the truth, I hate it. I'm trying to fill my monster library, but when I spend 2 hours with +200% item drop rate killing the same monster over and over again just for some shitty herb, it feels pretty frustrating.

Don't the +item drop rates stack? You should have a full of of dark faries, since they get a racial +200% item drop chance, and give them all the dark gambler +200% item drop chance skill. I did that and then farmed small medals and was getting 1 medal every other mimic.

First get maid, master maid and grand master maid leveled up to max for the +50%/100% job exp skill. Then go Oracle, Gambler, Dark Gambler for the +50%/100%/200% item drop rate. Do this for all of your party members. If you really want to go all out, have a party of of all faries (and Luka) since they get the Dark Fairy race which has an innate +200% drop rate. That would give you 11 characters with +400% drop rate, and Luka with +200% drop rate. This will give you an insane number of drops. Keep in mind though that with the changes in Paradox 2, the Cat Gloves, which also raise item drop rate, do not stack with the class bonuses anymore.

You should do all of your leveling on Mimic Island. That's the place that gives the largest amount of job points in the shortest amount of time. It also gives you small medals.

Keep in mind that in Paradox 2 near the end (after you've recruited the Queen Vampire) you can talk to Promestine to turn any mermaid into a fairy as well so you could turn El, Meia and Laura into fairies, as well as the two pirate mermaids (if you went pirates instead of marines). You should have Sylph, Gnome, Salamander and Undine who also have the fairy races. Finally you should have the fairy queen. So you should only need to recruit 1 fairy to fill out your party, unless you went marines in which case you'll need to recruit 3.

Just to add to this, you do need Gigi the catfish girl you recruit from the beach near Enrika if you want to turn mermaids into faeries. You can find it in the walkthrough though.

Oh, I have all of those, still it's strange how the spirits can wander about outside Luka's body here, It makes me wonder if they could do that in the original or if it's something in paradox's world that allows them to be powerful enough to be outside of Luka's body and still be able to give him power. Still, it'd be nice if when you used their special moves the cut ins from the VN would show up. but maybe they do, I haven't played Alice route to learn those skills yet.

They do not. The spirits lack their various skill upgrades as well.

I dislike that the spirits went from multiple being required in a fight to just a 4 turn buff...

Can you imagine the camp scenes of IIias route part 3 where Lucifina and Micaela teach Luka Daystar and Sword of the heavens? Especially with both of them being rather psycho

Daystar is a fallen angel racial skill so she probably won't teach it.
