Queue times depend on a lot of things

The biggest most obvious thing is size of the pool of players wanting to play in the first place

If you're playing during off hours in your region, and on the less populated console versions, you'll see longer times

The system tries to group newer players together for example but if it thinks you're exceptionally good or bad it'll take longer because it wants you in an even game (but shit's random, stomps happen anyway)

Is it just me or do you feel like you do better with certain skins than others? e.g, I used to be really smooth as Reaper with his plague doctor skin getting big money shots, wraithing at just the right moments and my ult getting at least 3 kills.
