Natalis is the best card, but neutral cards are usually better picks if you're new to the game.

I'd pick Avallac'h if I were new, but Natalis is the most used right now, yeah.
Maybe they even nerf him slightly next patch and you get a refund.

I've been playing about a month. think I'll take natalis since I have a lot of NR silvers and golds just by chance and I can almost build a strong deck without having had to craft anything for it. I have reinforcement already, too. let's pray for that full mill boys.

i had tons of fun with gwent and yesterday i had exceptionally good games, but the game gets tiring over time

gwent is a great game. it's not the only card game I'll ever want to play, but it's a great break from mtg. lots of fun, different, interesting, nice art. I'm excited to see the next few patches and I'm happy with how easy it is to get cards

I deeply and painfully regret spending money on Gwent, especially after those shits said you can only get the campaign with cash, but other than that I have a reasonably good time with Gwent.

I should spend less time on this game...

if you ever play a game enough to haunt it's general on vg you almost certainly play it too much

I enjoy this game more than any other digital card game right now, if it dies so be it. I think it's more interesting and has more potential than any competitor other than maybe the dota card game which I expect to be good

>able to make huge tempo plays that race other tempo decks that are weak to disruption
>the best lock cards in the game
>huge number of tutors for consistency

>lots of flex room to tune against the meta
>is also the only natural counter to itself since heavy cavalry also counters enemy armor decks

>you draw 1 gold and mulligan into 3 on rounds {(1,2,3)}

then we find our result for both players and we are done

I'm not from hsg and I've never played hs. it's obvious to anybody not in denial that gwent can never be a long lasting success. even the devs know what to expect and constantly assure everybody of their meager and modest goals

I found out we both had 4 golds each when I played johnny to discard ciri and nothing happened.

Just very odd that we both managed to have so many golds each.

this is wrong though. the game isnt even officially out yet. if by some statistical metric you can prove your dumb fee fees in a years time then maybe you will have a leg to stand on with your doomsaying.

pirate captains are doubled in potential value but at the same time the setup takes twice as much work.

unga mechanics is a shitty reddit meme, for example when spotters used to go +1 every time you reveal a unit, they trolled him it's uninspired and that mulligan/reveal/etc are all the same deck gameplay wise so he changed things and made them even worse

I wouldn't call the deck ''meta'', it is, and it should be, an answer to the meta. Great in tournaments.
