All things considered, Gilgamesh ends up pretty good. He starts out living as he pleases, having no worries and drowning in pure pleasure. Somewhere along the way, he gets a good friend and goes on many adventures, having a great time. He hits a low point when Enkidu dies. He starts fearing death and goes on a pathetic quest for immortality., but he eventually gets over it. He lives happily ever after, rules for 100+ years as the Wise King, a better man than who he was in the beginning.
