I have a panel that converts my stick to one. They really aren't much different than pad/stick.
You have some clear advanatges less travel time between back/forward and down/up or faster double tap directions
But you also have downsides in effort to press directions is much greater than pad/stick and you get tired quicker. Simple shit like quarter cicles and half circles take a ton more effort than stick.
Also I tried it for tekken for doing f,f,f moves where you have to be frame perfect and doing electrics and it is pretty much as hard as stick. It was mainly better for KBD but I could already KBD on stick so no advantage for me just hand cramps and shitty half circles.

tl;dr You have to spend weeks learning it just like stick or pad so it's just preference. Some advantages but also disadvantages that dont exist on pad/stick.

Reminder that Dante is canonically the strongest character across the Marvel and Capcom universes. He literally anages to shit on every villain in story mode successfully to the point that they have to write him out of the story occasionally so other characters can do something.
