For anyone who lives under a rock, Blessed Spawnins are indeed the Lizardmen answer to RoR, but it seems you can in fact have multiples of each blessed group.
A quest pops up, if you fulfill it, they're added to your Spawning pool, so it seems that you can accrue an elite blessed army over time.

RoRs wouldnt have been that bad if instead of them being pulled out of a LLs ass when they reach high engouh level you get them by upgrading/retraining a base unit that has 9 chevrons.

The real fun in Shogun 2 is getting a friend who doesn't play much to try custom battles with you and give him a surprise introduction to Mori Wako Raider spam.

Hard to say, they haven't scrolled over any other Terradon riders so far, but given the name and the fact that those riders have fire attacks, I'd say so.
I think one example they gave before was the blessed carnasaur having a 50% magic resist and blessed saurus having a... leadership bonus? I don't remember. It was in the lizard campaign video from a week or two ago.

The blessed spawning button is where the RoR button usually is, so I'm really not sure either way. Maybe one of the blessed spawning is RoR level with rank 9 and whatnot, or maybe a specific quest opens up for one of them?

rots = 1xxx something japan with the, well, start of the samurai when all samurai were bow warriors first
fots = end of the samurai era and transition of japan to the "modern" era with european line infantry, cannons, steam boats

Shogun 2 is feudal Japan right at the time the Portuguese started sending firearms over. There are guns, but they are shitty and come late game (unless you're Otomo clan) so you'll usually be using things like bow ashigaru, katana samurai, naginata monks, yari cavalry, etc.
I believe Shogun 2 had a playable demo but I'm not sure if it's still available or not. I remember when it came out someone on twcenter made a mod for it that allowed you to essentially play custom battles with it.
