play some killer. not kidding here, play killer and pay attention to what the survivors that manage to lose you or manage to waste a lot of your time is doing and remember it when you play surv. you'll learn a lot about how the killer sees the game this way.

not talking about them bringing purple flashlights or perks like borrowed time, but how they waste your time at pallets and such. works the other way too, knowing where you're likely to run if chased as a surv is very useful if you play trapper for example

surviving is a bonus. 10 000 points is already a "win" for survivors as they get closer to ranking up. don't worry too much about actually getting out, focus on doing lots of "stuff". could be gens, saves/healing, distracting the killer and so on.

you'll get better with time, everyone is confused when they first start out. one advice One thing I see almost every new player do: don't run to the edge of the map, there's no safe point there. if the killer has vision on you, run to either a pallet or a window, and look behind you at least sometimes to see where the killer is.

You kinda can but it's a lot of work. The heads still have collision after you punch/chop/twist them off, so you can nudge 'em with your feet over to your cuckshed. Takes a lot of time.

You'd have to do it every game. Realistically I hope when they do the Virtual Cabin 2.0 you can pick between Jason's or the Counselor's inbetween matches like they wanted and have them be customizable.

So, I understand that some people think facecamping (not "patrolling", but full-on facecamping) is a 'legit strat' & the devs have said it isn't a bannable offence, but there's a massive affect it has on new players.
THREE times, I have introduced the game to friends & family during free weekends, and EVERY time they were immediately face-camped & never played again. Once with an old friend early this year, once with my brother, and this past weekend with my Boyfriend (he got facecamped to death 2 games in a row, then uninstalled).
I honestly think the devs need to rethink the legitimacy of facecamping, because I truly believe it is affecting the success of the game & the image it has on potential players.
I understand people may say "if they can't handle facecamping, then maybe it's not the game for them", but they genuinely enjoyed the other aspects of the game, but the facecamping ruined it for them.
Again, this is just in regards to full blown facecamping & not just patrolling around the area of a hook.
Has anyone else had this thought process?

Anyone experienced at the game is listening for the growling and also looking for the cloaked mass moving around, so he's not especially stealthy as it is. Either make him harder to detect or reduce the decloak time and he'd be a threat again.
