big ass dorf tits
I can upload the whole Divine Ascension (tons of concept arts, an artbook and lorebook) with or without soundtrack, if you want.
S-should I eat the thing Mordus offers me?
It just seems like a poor idea.
Just started a pyro/geo and it feels weird casting my spells turn one and then using staff of magus for three turns doing nothing.
Don't be a bitch
Never let your dreams be dreams.
If I ask the money loaner for 10K, when does she collect it?
Is there any way to keep this fuckin' dwarf alive in the Bound by Pain quest on Bloodmoon Island?
That would be pretty sweet Anon.
What's the most fun combination of magic schools in this?
Not impressed with pyro for now, but maybe there's a good combo for it (except for geo's poison that is)?
mfw pouring all points into Thievery
mfw totally cleaning out shopkeeps
That said, any tips for robbing the marketplace in Driftwood? There's too many lookie-loos there
Get more spells, if there is no spells you want now, grab Necro to help your warriors out.
Did you raise Stealth any or just rely on staying out of sight?
Wondering if I should put any points there.
Should i start as Lohse or Fane ?
I will use both in my party, just curious which one get the best dialogue
Talk to the shopkeeper, then teleport them (ensure the teleporter is out of sight)
I like Pyro as a single-point dip for self buffing on my melee guys. Haste is invaluable, and Clear Minded is too.
Lohse. Undead were rather last minute so Fane works better as a companion IMO.
Anyone fuck Beast? I really can't imagine what a romance with him would be like.
Armor out the wazoo and crazy slows by stacking chilled+slow.
Try to steal cool axe
They actually bother to search me
You can actually talk your way out
Wow, that's kind of better than getting attacked on sight.
Huh, it's cheaper than I thought. But it's $45 on Steam and $57 on GOG? How does that work? gog .com/game/divinity_original_sin_2
No, all in thievery. More thievery points means you can steal much more, like so much that you can take all the legendary items off a merchant.
In most situations you can use other party members to talk to wandering NPCs to avoid their patrols and just clean them out, but Driftwood's got so many of them.
I will on my female dwarf playthrough, I just can't imagine letting him fuck me as anything else
tfw your carefully conducted driftwood heist goes wrong because you didn't pay attention to chameleon cloaks cd and you all have to bail
tfw teleporting people to a secluded part of the town, and killing them from max range
nobody expects anything, guards not even alarmed
Okay, I'll just use it for utility them.
Sounds good, thanks.
Already tested all answers and it always kills me the pseudo intellectual son of a bony bitch.
sure you're using Freedom Dollars?
Lohse last chapter spoilers:
Can you persuade her not to extinguish all the candles, does it affect her ending where it seems like she still has some hint of the demon inside her?
you fucked up bad
I didn't murder anyone, also get in the pile!
I'm in Canada and it's $54 on both steam and GoG for me. Check to see if you have the wrong currency set on one of them.
Polymorph should've had a skill that lets you turn into any creature you've interacted.
Transform yourself into a mouse, pig, sheep etc.
What's a good secondary skill for rangers? Just scoundrel with some of the utility spells?
Can we discuss making the best tank possible? Here's my idea but I've only just begun act 2.
Warfare 1: Shield toss, battering ram, battle stomp, crippling blow
Necro 2: Blood sucker, mosquito swarm, bone cage, infect, bone widow
Geo 2: Fortify, Mend Metal, Reactive Armor, Impalement, Earthquake
Summon 10: Summon Incarnate. Mostly here to buff the bone widow though but you can summon incarnate if the Bone Widow dies.
You have to put a lot of points into memory, but I see this build as having a lot of physical damage through shield toss, necro spells, and reactive armor. Lots of CC through knockdowns, cripple, and oil. Plenty of armor restoration, too. Plus you've got an overpowered bone Widow because why not? You don't need more than 2 skills in anything else to get the abilities you need so you might as well improve summoning. You mostly max INT, just grabbing enough STR to keep wearing heavy armor as the requirements go up since your damage is all INT and armor based.
How can we improve upon this? I'm not very good at min-maxing but this is what I'm working towards with Fane and he feels more useful than my other three party members combined despite not having any Geo nor nearly enough memory yet.
Feather and dagger doesn't make a quill anymore?
aerotheurge for teleport and nether swap
are you really suppose to kill everything at fort joy?
pickpocket vendor for 1000 gold
He searches us
Bribe him for 50 gold
I'm using Australian dollars, cheers for clearing that up m8s
Does Han escape if you use an exit other than his boat?
Which will look
Dwarf, Human or Elf female rogue?
I haven't seen much of any Dwarves so I have no idea what their clothing looks like.
Dwarves get some titty windows, but for pure skin shown elves always win.
send it all to a different person
let him search you
Dwarf. Elves are hot if you want to be dominated by a tall and scary cannibal.
Should I do different playthroughs for each of the origin characters or can I complete their respective quest lines all at once?
The fuck is up with enrage? It only seems to work on specific attacks and nonsensically so.
Can we all agree that Ifan is best boy?
Party is separated
Just pass pyramids through hammer space and teleport them to each other
Was that how I was supposed to do this? I feel like I cheated.
Does killing Alexandar finishes Act 1? What are notable stuff to do beforehand?
Of course not, the scalefags will defend Red Ponce and edgelords will defend le meme skeleman. Beast is the only real contender but Ifan edges him out.
brew witchery potion
interact with cow with pet pal
feed her the potion
it's working - cow says
nothing happens, potion still in inventory
decide to use it
now i have a cow companion
You can kill Alexandar first. You get a "are you fucking sure you want to proceed with the story" option that every player in the game must say yes to every time you come across a point of no return.
Can you even have a real romance with Fane?
Beast > Ifan > Post Act 1 Sebille > Rep Prince >= Fane >>>>>>>> Sebille >= Lohse
I can't decide what to take with Necro lads, do I just do the summon meme or do I go full bloodknight and rip and tear my way to success?
Some people dislike Sebille but she's pretty fun to have if you're roleplaying as a Villain.
Oh alright, also, fucking hell, just wasted purging charges when a dragon just runs your path. What are the quests that needs to be done yet? Still 7 and Alexandar is on 8.
Here it is
I packed soundtrack and concepts into archives because mega can't handle tons of files and I'm too lazy to install megasync.
Lohse also gets better post act 1
How much did I fuck up by
killing Saheila and her tribe. I'm playing as Sebille and and I guess I might have been speedreading a bit but I didn't think the "I won't be a slave again"-option would turn out like that.
I mean, I kinda like it in a way, cause Sebille is super triggered by slavery but it's weird that Ifan never had anything to say after rescuing
Saheila, and killing everyone in the sawmills. I'm scared I might have broken a quest or something
What should I do on my summoner after he has already summoned? Right now he just kinda stands around or pokes enemies with a wand
This fucking cat keeps giving his summon skill to the Lizard and not me, the summoner. Very annoying. Anyone know a workaround?
keep summoning totems
Take another mastery like Hydro or Aero and buff shit.
Both are good. Summoner Soul Mate skill + Decaying touch is an instant kill once you've beat the shit out of their armor with your sword.
I really liked what they did with Lohse's story. At least put her above the red cunt.
Respec your lizard to a summoner and respec your other guy to whatever the lizard was
You don't want the cat on your summoner in the first place.
You can only have 1 summon at a time and you should always prioritize your incarnate.
You can save/reload until your desired result but I'd recommend having the cat follow a melee character for more mobility.
Skip the prince and walk around the area alone so the cat attaches to you, then go back for him
Crossbow and huntsman skills are a good match. Stay in the rear and shoot stuff. Lay down the best puddles for your totems.
Is there a way to tell what the range on a skill is just by the tooltip description? I can't figure it out.
Seriously she has some of the best moments later on.
Only uses 2 AP per turn
Already have another character with those
This is something I've been thinking about as I don't have anyone using bows at the moment. Will have to wait until I get off the island to even try it though
Oh nevermind, looking at his skills, yeah, that's actually really good for a melee.
Post Act 1 Sebille
I have the cat on my tank, partly because he happened to be the one who got it. Outside of my summoner who hardly has to move, the tank is the one with least mobility for me right now. Will probably get something later though
I found the quest marker for Brahmos at the graveyard. but what am I looking for here? I searched the dead lizards, but nothing is pointing on me where to go next.
Am I missing something?
Does she stop being an annoying psychopath or something
What magic schools should I get on for pure DPS?
mfw I unlink party members and use them as distractions by having them in dialogue with every nearby NPC, forcing them to avert their vision cones so I can rob all the merchants in plain sight
Just spent 9,000 gold at the huntsman book merchant in the Driftwood square and now I'm finding I can't steal it back. Who has constant eyes on him? I feel like I've distracted every NPC within range and he's still covered.
Any encounter you can't chain stun/freeze from turn 1 is a restart
good game design
She stops being "annoying psychopath" right after she talks to Griff. Also try to play as her to understand her actions.
Geo adds some extra exploding with pyro if you want it
Being so bad at the game that this is a complaint.
companion Lohse doesn't get the interaction with the dwarf who gives her a lute
Any other oversights like this?
???? are u retard gay??
why does beast get an amazing hat at the start while the rest get jack shit?
what the fuck I didn't even think of this holy shit
Make a smoke grenade and pop it next to him
Holy shit you guys weren't kidding.
he loses the hat
You're gonna be a legend, if anyone survives this massacre.
My friends and I literally never needed to purchase a skillbook because of this tactic. Then we just resold whatever we didnt need to make mad dosh. Thieverys a bit imba
Pyro and Aero are the damage schools.
Geo is tanking/utility.
Hydro is healing/utility.
Necro is bone widow.
I heard you get the black cat summon after you escape Fort Joy. In my game the cat was following Red Prince and he wasn't in the party when I escaped, now the cat is nowhere to be found and no one can summon him. Did I miss something?
The hardest path is not to let it die/disappear/stuck somewhere.
you need to escape with whoever he follows
How many points in necro do you need to learn bone widow?
Either got stuck somewhere or got shot and killed.
Personally, I barricaded it behind the two cages by the opening gate to Camp Joy, with a barrel.
2, so you can easily have one on every character.
i'm walking around the swamp and the cat isn't with me, but when i teleport back to fort joy square the cat will start following me around again
'Waypoint back into the town part and see if it still appears. If not it's either dead, stuck somewhere or only follows whoever it followed first. You also only get the skill on the character it's following
Has anyone tested the summon skeleton mod yet?
why did i level conjuration again if bone spider/ widow is better?
they do literally nothing and never attack who i want
pay 20,000 gold for 4 new sets of gear every level or play on Explorer: The Game
pet pal on who it follows, then leave the fort?
Summoning buffs the spider you dolt.
do the magisters guarding the big gate respawn infinitely?
i'm sure i killed them
summoning 10 gives u big incarnate
Got to act 2
Decide to put that save on hold because summoner is too cheesy
Reroll and Make a Wizard, Polymorph knight, Hydro/necro, and a scoundrel.
The starting stats for Metamorph(Why the fuck would i want finesse as a front line tank? Also why the fuck does it start with telekinesis) And Inquisitor(Hurdur lets put 1 point in str and 1 point in int and none in con yet stand infront of everybody :B) is triggering the fuck out of me.
Atleast leave civil abilities as unspent skill points when you recruit the origin characters.
How do you get the green and yellow teleport pyramids?
Shit you are right.
Can it be found again?
Not just pickpocket every vendor.
Act 2 Ryker and Blood Isle
by playing the game
no clue, but it isn't that great anyway.
it just good for the beginning of act 1.
Anyone know if magic can deal super high single target damage? I want to play some sort of magical nuke. Any suggestions?
Pirate here, getting it friday on paycheck
Is there a patch that fixes crucial things I should look for or is the base game fine for a full playthrough?
Pyro and Necro.
I didn't start as beast but had him as a companion. You find it again on
Most Aerothurge spells. Lightning fucking hurts. Even something like Dazzling Bolt can tear away an enemy's whole magic armor.
The massive patch comes out today or tomorrow, so you're lucky.
Grab GOG version and the latest patches, there was one major issue that was fixed.
You can gather them the old fashioned way too, and personally I restricted myself to using the pyramids between the two party members that carry one each, but I feel like this should be up to each individual. If you feel like you're cheating and are missing out on enjoyment then maybe you too should refrain from it. But it's a nice option for those that don't care.
Are you talking about using death wish?
You can find a master key inside the remains of a ship. It's at the very center near the warpoint.
If the cat appears inside the fort still, you have to walk it out through the fort. Make sure the path you take is something the cat can path through
save game bloat which kills the save got fixed
you can find the updates here:
hmmm i wonder how we can make the most annoying tedious monster in a slow paced turn based game
oh i know, let's make it respawn on cursed fire that can only be destroyed with limited resources and carries cursed fire arrows and it's an archer that constantly runs away oh and also there's multiple of them per encoutner
What do you want to know about it? The skeletons do about as much damage as blood totems, but no bleed and way more health. Their ai can be wonky sometimes, though.
is there a way to deal with pumpkins that shit out fire/ poison/ shock?
i just teleported them away from me
Holy shit you're a saint bro.
Does a DW wand build work out in this game? Was thinking of doing some Summoner/Wander build.
Ah, good call, thanks anon.
TK works too if you have the range to not get killed.
Summoner doesn't need INT to git gud while wands scale their damage off it. If you want to support with other spells while wanding though it might be a good idea.
He was on the boat for me and I didn't use his to get out of the fort. I had unlocked his route though.
Cool, I'll be able to save Trice then.
Dual wand is pretty much the go to for any magic user while waiting for cds, the damage on them is pretty good even without investing into Dual-Weilding.
Summoner doesn't need it though since you get more damage by spending your ap summoing totems/incarnates as opposed to using your wands.
Guys my Sebille is broken. I initiated dialogue with her that began an encounter while quicksaving and nothing happened, then I initiated the dialogue on my main character and the combat began but my Sebille didn't join the fight. I was able to select her and walk around auto attacking all the enemies, and they just complained that she had better watch herself without otherwise reacting. She killed everyone without being forced into combat through ctrl + mouse1 and now none of my party can have a conversation with her.
Has her edginess transcended the bounds of the game?
Will I have enough points to go Huntsman/Summoning and Necro for utility?
Really want to be a summoner but with physical primary damage.
Just wanna know if it has bugs or anything. Considering the state of the base game. I'll probably try it in my next playthrough.
Really want to be a summoner but with physical primary damage.
Then summon on blood surfaces, or bare ground if need be.
Is there a reason not to kill the
Necro does physical damage. Pump INT, summon a bone widow buffed by high summon stat, and do physical damage scaled off INT with your necro spells.
how does withermore help us escape if he makes us break the jar first
What do you mean?
The Totems/incarnates do physical damage on Regular Ground and blood, and their damage doesn't increase from anything except your Summoning level and high ground.
As far enough points yeah but its a matter of when will everything come together.
Its mandatory for Summoning to be 10
Necro needs level 2 for bone widow
And in general You're better off using your AP summoning totems every round and buffing your incarnate as opposed to doing anything else if your summonings already level 10.
Trice? That the kid in Flenser's?
Shit do I need to go back and get her
What do you do with the phoenix egg?
Im currently playing a Huntsman/Summoner in a group with my friends and with how many +skills are on gear later on you really dont need to worry about it.
Just try to get your incarnate out and buffed before combat if possible.
Almost at the end of act 1, and no bugs found yet (with the skill, at least). It's surprising considering how much of a mess the editor is.
Sorry, I worded that wrong. Primary damage is summoning itself, of course, but I want some skills and auto attacks of my own.
Basically I really want to play a mix of Scoundrel or Huntsman and Summoning, and not just a totem spawning bot.
I see. Sounds like it's much more profitable to just focus on summoning then.
A jar of resurrection. An endgame slide.
All I want is a mod that puts a mark on items that can be used in crafting. Who the fuck expects a broken bottle to be used in a recipe? Inventory bloat/management was one of the worst problems in the first game and it seems like they managed to make it worse.
I just want a more comprehensive crafting UI in general. The current one is damn bare bones and cluttered.
Also I want for Larian to be able to distinguish between Game-play affecting Mods and Quality of life Mods(Such as increased movement speed in towns/out of fights) so that achievements aren't disabled.
Are you ever able to edit your character's appearance?
Yes. You will be able to both respec and change your appearance after Act 1.
Yes. Act 2
I tried it first time, if you go back she's not there anymore.
why do the dwarfs have such huge titties
Im hoping that QoL changes are on the way and the reason its such a mess now is because they didnt want to sit in EA for 3 years like other games. Its pretty obvious that they didnt have enough time to polish the game.
Alright I have no fucking clue what to do. She can't be hurt by abilities, she's immune to terrain, she can't engage in dialogue with anyone. How the fuck do I fix this bitch? My last save before she went all glitched is yesterday.
Does she do anything else anyway?
Also, the crafting inventory is generally shared between characters, but if you want to change runes then nope, you have to give the rune to the specific character first, which is annoying as fuck.
In the start of the game d you always start without a weapon? I remember people saying picking a starter class only matters as far as starting weapons go but my knight is empty-handed.
She ascended your mortal plain.
She is now one of the Seven.
So when do you switch off Wand+Shield? It seems impossible to give up the insane amount of armor provided by the shield and the Shields Up skill. Im leaving the first city in Act 2 at level 11 and shit is almost 2 shotting my casters with 200 armor+500 life.
Does anyone know if the Elemental Arrowheads skill works on wands? As in adds more elemental damage to your attacks?
i'm torn guys
can't decide between playing a qt femundead human rogue
or a qt femdorf rogue.
Does anyone know if Necromancer Health Draining Skills damage Fane if he uses them?
Does anyone have a quest list guide?
books don't have a "unread" indicator on them
mfw picked up like 50 books and not sure which ones I've read and haven't
you'll get weapons after you talk to a crazy bitch
they're in a chest
you can also find a pocket knife immediately if that's your thing
Are you running on casual?
I don't really run into problems like this unless i position incorrectly at the start of the fight. (with glass cannon)
If you're playing on higher than casual then you need Wand/Shield. If youre not playing on higher than casual and are still getting stomped Shield+Wand isn't bad. Bouncing shield's damage from warfare scales with the armor of your shield, so by act 2 level 11 you should be getting shields with 95+ armor.
Just lob that shit and watch the hp chunk with no investment in anything.
tfw missed this and died to the bugs on deck
Murder Mordus in record time because he's retarded and teleported into the middle of my group
Beast deals the killing blow
Control defaults to him because of this
Murdos immediately starts a conversation with him instead of my main character
Offers the weird heart thing
Not sure if it'll go to Beast, my main character, or everyone if I accept
Make him kill himself
Figure I'll just loot the heart thing off his body and use it afterwards
He doesn't have it
Stissa's gonna be piiiiissed
I just started reading them where they are unless they're unique and/or quest related.
They don't really sell for more than a couple gold so there isn't much reason to hoard them.
please give me some fun build, general direction is good enough
too many choices
same problem between femlizard or femhuman wizard
Melee + Polymorph
based brother of tentacle slaps
Even if I drink a poison potion with her, it does nothing. My game has broken irreparably.
There is a reason to hoard them,
When youre about to buy/sell to a npc just give them all to him for free(preferably do this with someone who has high bartering/persuasion and doesn't have stench perk).
Congrats you should now have a 15-20%+ Discount for nothing.
IT DOES SO MUCH FUCKING DAMAGE
/AND/ APPLIES ATROPHY
INT damage stat
Congrats you should now have a 15-20%+ Discount for nothing.
He doesn't get the five finger discount at every shop he visits
before you leave, sure why not
MORE STRENGTH MEANS STRONGER TENTACLE COMBINED WITH BLESSED SHIELD AND BATTLESTOMP FOR STRENGTH BASED RANGE COMBAT.
he cares about discounts
what's the recipe?
Five Finger Discount
Are you memeing me
What class and skills should I get to go fast as fuck
Since me and my mates are only playing on classic I think I can get away with just running a lap around the battlefield each turn
Discounts lets you steal more.
i.e, you talk to someone and intiate a trade with said person using someone with high bartering/persuasion(or in general someone whom the trader has high attitude towards), the value of their items are now lower than the default, therefore you can steal more before filling up the meter even potentially taking their entire stash.
Where do you get curse skill from?
Act 1 respec mod finally available
Thank god, no idea why I'd ever want to spend the first quarter of the game not being able to build companions the way I'd like.
I got the overpriced Drudanae but Stingtail still doesnt want to dream with me.
What am I missing?
My thievery is high enough to give me everything I want. I don't need to steal brooms and cheese.
Will it work if I put a new drunadae I'll get somewhere into an empty orange and give it to Griff? 'Cause RP just used it for dreams and sheit.
Jesus the AI in this game is almost too good.
Be a rouge, max out scoundrel, "the pawn" talent, take teleport skills from other skill trees (huntsman 2 tactical retreat, aerothurge 2 teleport and netherswap etc.)
wear mask to make myself human
they still cast heal on me to deal damage
ALMOST TOO GOOD
Okay guys apparently this is a bug from me trying to distract Nicholas in Driftwood while stealing from a merchant. Apparently the fix is to chain the bugged character to another party member and then take them past the bridge troll for the first time. Wish me luck.
Almost all classes have 1 or 2 mobility skills.
All melee users can just get polymorph 1 and bullhorns.
For mages their haste from Pyro, Favorable winds from Aero, And teleport in general, either from aero or gloves.
It's good overall but still does stupid shit
Elemental arrows usage is usually bad
Sometimes suicides with rupture tendons
Can get stuck going up and down ladders if both ends have fire/electrified water until they die
How are rangers in this game? I can not decide between a rogue and a ranger, but since I am planning on going with a tank, a necromancer that raises shit, and a summoner that summons his imp thing I think things might get too messy in melee for a rogue to work effectively.
Anything melee with Blitz Attack, Battering Ram, Phoenix Dive and Tactical Retreat. You're so goddamn mobile. Go Dagger and you also get Backlash.
You're not the only one that can use loremaster anon.
ANyone know the item tier list? DO the game have set item or not?
Is crafting just awful or am I doing something wrong? I made a bunch of potions and some scrolls, but the profit seemed to be a loss or very little profit.
The main thing I seen was grinding bones that wasn't a complete chore that made a profit.
Making the mage armor made a profit but it took me quite awhile to find the stuff to the point it wasn't even worth it for a couple hundred gold
They're good just incredibly boring, with the only cool factor coming from ANOTHER skill type(this being the wings meme).
Their gameplay usually revolves around
Mash basic attack
Fly to another location if anyones near you every turn with Spread your wings.
Crafting's a waste of time t b h
It worked. Avoid talking to Nicholas at all costs if you've already dealt with the trolls my dudes.
I enjoy this video game
Their gameplay usually revolves around
Don't forget the plethora of goofy arrow types you can give them.
They're practically wizards
Oh right those.
I never use them because my autism screams "but what if i need them for the super secret final boss!"
Also its tedious to craft and seeing my cluttered inventory screen with all the mats i picked up feels gross.
So I heard Huntsman is strong, but how do you usually build it? 10 Hunt/2 Scoundrel/1 Pyro with 10 in ranged or what? Is the Elemental Ranger trait worth picking up since it doesnt stack with the Elemental Arrows ability?
Sebille mc, th war/necro or scoundrel/poly?
Whose armor looks less shit?
Mash basic attack
There are a lot of 2ap and 3ap huntsman attacks though and a bunch of special arrows
Why are you mashing basic?
Didn't manage to finish DOSEE because I lost interest and got bored halfway through. Is DOS2 better and worth it?
steal them all from traders with my 8 thievery dwarf
10 Hunt is unnecessary, you only want 5(even then 5 might be too much). Scoundrel 1 for adrenaline, poly 2 for spread your wings, and chameleon.
Extra points go into Ranged, you get more value from that with the added damage+Crit chance than what you get from huntsman.
I found the sawmill, but I can't seem to find Roost.
If you use elemental arrows you get to attack only one other time that turn
Not sure what I'm missing but it always seems to underperform
That's why it's almost too good. The AI does insane shit that only a player would normally do. They make use of all the same bullshit tools you do.
Also Elemental Ranger is a nice-to-have but not necessary park.
All you need is a mage with Rain, or a geo with oil to benefit.
Even then you also get benefits if they stand in blood which youll naturally create while fighting.
I want to do a solo lonewolf run of the game. Not going to play on any particular hard difficulty. I dont want to play a summoner or necro. Anyone have any suggestion for a class that makes for an enjoyable solo run?
Can you upgrade weapons?
I want to go for elf with flesh sac, elemental arrowheads to dip them into blood, then use a couple of low-AP abilities to soften someone up so my fighter and summons can CC them to death. Planning to dip into rogue for Adrenaline and chloroform and into poly for stealth/wings too. Not sure how useful all of that is but it sounds fun on paper.
Not sure how you're supposed to keep your armor up otherwise
Id say scoundrel type of build.
With all that extra AP scoundrel will probably be awesome.
On this though, what happens if you play dead as undead when youre the only one in your party?
Don't get Elemental arrow heads until they buff it, please dont fall for the meme.
It lasts literally only 1 turn and doesn't even add that much damage, you're better off attack 4/6 times as opposed to using elemental arrowhead once and only attacking once/twice.
Id say the ability is ok if it was a 0ap cost ability and if it lasted more than 1 turn.
You get full benefit the turn after though, you usually have to spend an AP moving around and theres not much else to use it on. I think I would still pick up the Elemental Ranger trait and just have Elemental Arrows as backup for resistances or when I have a free action.
I wish learned skills were party-wide and not character specific. I want to experiment.
hiss I'm a wizard
Still stuck on act 1
Can't beat Alexandar since he and his mates kill me in 4 hits
I'm running a scoundrel, aero/hyrdo, and general melee tank but I can't decide on a fourth build for my Ifan. I thought about just keeping him as a wayfarer but two finesse users seems like a bad idea.
It depends on the ability. It lasts 2 turns later on in the game, havent used it early on so I am not sure about that. It adds about 50% damage to each of my arrows so if I use an ability that shoots many arrows it is worth it.
Considering some type of rogue-like character with some geo for poison and some polymorph/hydro for utility, yes, but not sure if I will be spreading my points too thin. Oh well, I gotta give it a try atleast.
two fineese is fine, just make sure you have enough cc to back up the lack of another tanky frontline.
aero/hydro are more support than offensive. If you want magic damage you should take geo/pyro.
But a ranger is also good. And no taking multiple finesse is not a problem.
Hi. Im every encounter ever.
shoot him from really far away to start fight
scuttle around the place until void worm pops out
let the worm and alexander's fuccbois soften each-other up
go in and finish the job
Just cheese it
I like this spot. The open area is pretty disadvantageous.
Halp, I'm in a new game and have my party set except for one character: Sebille.
Basically my party is:
not sure whether to keep Sebille as a rogue or spec her over to huntsman. Huntsman seems a bit better than rogue but would feel weird having only 1 "melee".
So I've been hitting people in the face with 300 pound paintings and crates, Does the game ever get more fun than this?
And I actually mean that in a positive light, I'm having a lot of fun doing this I'm just worried i'm peaking early and burning out.
I've got 41 str and were finishing up in fort joy I think anyway, I could probably be nearing 54 or some shit if I had fully optimized it out.
man these void bugs are fucking easy
i-is it just me or is it getting hot in here?
I did the Saheila quest on Reaper's coast. I am playing as Sebille so I talked to her and we went through the ritual to get me more source points, and the Sebille quest got updated. However the general quest The Elven Seer does not reflect that we learned how to channel more source from her. Will that block future progression? Is the quest log just bugged?
I can't keep thinking that Red Prince and Sebille are must have party members for the banter, but as I am playing my own Lizard i kind of want to skip on Red Prince. Do I miss out on party without him?
what in the hell holy fuck
I see European developers are drawing inspiration from the current environment in their nations.
elemental arrow is a complete trash skill, and it's annoying to have by default on both ranger and wayfarer
red prince betrayed me so
I killed him and then killed his gf
Answer please, which elf armor looks less like shit?
Leech is a trash talent.
Explain. I left him on the boat and he died so I have no idea what his story is about but he sounds like a dickhead from what I have seen anons here talk about.
B-but muh bloodrain
I've got 41 str and were finishing up in fort joy
i told him
he'll never be the divine and he got butthurt and called me a doormat and left this was on act 3 though
Is it possible to make some sort of tanky magic damage character?
Lone Wolf doubles /all/ stat ups.
that's +2 per level, +2 per level of mutation...
Lone faggot build.
Do all companions
leave you if you tell them you intend to be divine?
two character parties benefit from it
My question is more in line of: Do Red Prince and Sebille have much banter due to all the racism?
Duoing through the game as lone wolves is the best way to play desu fampai
So much fun.
Especially when I tentacle lash his ass like jocks in the locker room for 150 damage while hes trying to rip off the witch from the intro cut-scenes face
What the fuck do I do in Johanna's Tomb? Nothing on Google is accurate.
Starting masks on female lizard Enchanter I believe, was playing around in the editor and found this one as well.
it's a """"""speech check""""""" aka just tp to boat and put points into persuasion
in hindsight, i probably should have just done that instead of killing him but i'm like 20 hours past that
Tfw walk up and All In red prince while hes being edgy on a rock like 3 minutes into the game
Nevermind, the first two sites said middle-left-right but it was actually middle-middle-left-right.
Can someone explain how to use the dragon egg Sadha gave me? I can't find it in my inventory anywhere, but I'm fighting BR in the crypt and it seems like the right time to use it
she isn't playing with all 5 companions
start off thinking red prince is bro-tier and Sebille is a total Coldsteel bitch
several hours in throw out Red Cuck forever and enjoy Sebille growing kinder and warmer as time goes by
His grandstanding and asshole behaviour would be fine if they were ever backed up by anything. As it stands he is just a brat full of bravado and little else.
I have no idea how the lever works but you can just command a fire incarnate to sit on the spot for easy trial and error
Playing RTS mode
I CBA to control two characters is part of why I'm duoing it.
how much str do you need to pull the spear out at the fort? and can you use buff food or does it count base stats?
I want to buy scoundrel book in Arx why can I find everything but that, been running around for hours
I pulled it out with somewhere around 21 I think? so I assume like 20?
Are there any way to not trigger the black cat at the start, so that it doesn't end up on my main summoner?
how do i convince my friend whos favorite game is far cry and assassins creed to play this game w/ me
12, anything counts. Try meal+beer to make dwarf stew for +1 then stack with bedroll for another +1.
Have any of you killed aetera, i'm one level below but the fight just seems like bullshit with the spammable wolves. Just the fact that as soon as the fight starts one of my characters is dead with no counterplay due to her summoning two on their head who proceed to gangrape them
The ultimate bro party is Beast, Ifan, Sebille and Lohse. Fane is acceptable for the lore but
Avellone really seems to be doing a shit job on all of these cameo characters he does these days.
Sneakily edit the intro movie to have an Ubisoft logo.
that victor guy under the bridge to the left i think
Having just found out who Fane was from Dallis in the crypt, did I fuck up by having him be one of the ones who died on the boat?
So, Who else killed the level 8 merchant on fort joy? Just wondering.
I'm curious before I buy,
1) are there actual dungeons. I'm a D&D nut part of the fun in RPGs is the dungeon itself, not just the monsters therein
2) are there good sidequests, this is more important because I don't want to play an RPG just for the main story.
Strength 12 is sufficient, but if your party can't manage that, you can target and destroy the spear with attacks as well.
Yes I agree. If you want a cool, traditional, comfy, backstab-free playthrough that's the best party.
Of those people the only ones I didn't kill are Ifan and Lohse, Mostly because I didnt find Lohse and Ifan is a cool dude.
I did, with a level 5 party, took forever, but it was doable. Sebille (as MC) couldn't convince him to give her the info, so we killed him for it.
want to make my own band of cursed skeletal mages
one for each school
can only have my created undead and fane at the start
rip the dream
Launch multiple instances of the game, connect via lan.
I bashed him in the face with a box while knocking him down once a turn so it was laughably easy for 8500 or so EXP and shittons of good loot. Robbed him first too.
Extended Party mod for all companions
Double Spawns mod to maintain difficulty
Stop being a psychopath.
There are a lot of quests but you have to find those, also there are many ways to complete the quest.
Didn't they fix this?
5 minute fights are now 45 minutes
1) there are, yes, but they are not as elaborate as, say, the mansion dungeon in POE which had a really detailed and complex honeycomb design. They are serviceable, though, and the puzzles are cool.
2) there are a shitload of side quests and they are great. You have multiple ways of solving them and the quest log usually mainly gives you hints where to search for clues rather than pointing out exactly what to do. It's a game that provides huge interactability with the world and RP options.
6 man party mod
Rainbow collection of lizards with corresponding skilltree (red = fire, blue = hydro etc.)
Please help me out anons.
No, that's going to bloat the shit out of the game.
Yu gan 50% more, they gain 100%. Nah, there needs to be that "Long War" mod for this. Or you know, fix the game? Permit 6 man teams but buff the enemies or something.
Please anons, should I just abandon the fight till I overlevel/outgear it or is there a better way to kill it because I am tearing my hair out
1) To some extent, I'm in Act 2, about 30 hours in, there are smaller dungeons, but many areas don't really feel dungeony. I've found an area that appears to be a full dungeon, but I can't handle it yet, so I'm doing more side-quests first.
2) In my opinion, yes. A fair number of side-quest appear to be mysteries to solve, and they're fun. Gather information, combine clues, solve mystery, get rewards. There are obviously smaller and larger examples of this, but most are at least interesting.
cool sold, thank you.
Does PoE have good dungeons? I haven't been past Act 1.
The fights not being huge bloated messes with 6 characters all fighting at once in a system clearly not designed for it isn't "broken"
Your retarded ideas would break it.
This was me finding out you can put stuff inside crates to make them heavier.
Then finding out I could put a 150 pound crate inside a 150 pound crate and then hit people in the face with it for 150 damage
I put points in Krateamari Demastery.
I just went there on level 14 and beat her. You need to survive her first turn then it gets easy since wolves have low magic armor so you can delete them all with something like an earthquake. Make sure you at unlock the boss past her first turn. Focus all but the aoe guy dealing with the wolves on her.
PoE dungeons are classing trap filled hellholes. There's even a massive side dungeon you can slowly do throughout the game and some cool mini text adventure stuff.
Try using elemental arrows with arrow spray or barrage. Bonus points if you're you're creating explosions.
Get to strength cap
Hit people with a crate that has a crate inside it which has a crate inside it that also has a crate inside it for 300 damage each AP
Yes there is one massive dungeon in particular that is fantastic.
elemental arrowheads doesn't stack with elemental ranger right?
Please help dear friends
What attributes do you stack as an Elf ranger? Max finesse? Do I need any wit?
What happen to the dudes that aren't in my party if I choose to go to act 2? Bringing Lohse, Bitch and ?Ifma?.
Also bugged on mine, just calm your autism.
See your stat points?
Put all of those in wits.
And roll a human.
If done properly you will crit roughly 75% of the time before you're done with fort joy.
does making a full custom party fuck up achievements or does it still work fine?
want to give honour mode a try
Why human over elf? Elf has flesh sac which seems useful.
Human gets +2 Init and +5% crit base
You always go first.
You always crit.
Leave no survivors.
Wit is alright, what it does it determine your crit chance as well as the order in which your party goes. The character with highest wits goes along with the enemy character with highest wit, then it goes down the chain in pairs so that no party can have all of its members go first. Mainly spend your points in finesse, put enough points in memory to be able to slot in whatever skills you need, and then put some in wits too if you have all the tools you think you need corresponding to the order in which you want your party members to go in.
be Red Prince
meet fire slug queen
she lusts for my d, obviously
don't want to marry, say I'm married, kind of
GUARDS BURN THEM ALL
What is objectively the most fun build you have played?
For me its definitely smacking bitches in the face with giant paintings (The 150 pound lucien paintings) and crates.
how the fuck do i get past the barrier in the academy
For me its definitely smacking bitches in the face with giant paintings (The 150 pound lucien paintings)
put all points in wit
150% crit damage x shitty base damage on 3/4 attacks
If you want detailed guide on how to build a party here is a guide for minmaxing autists.
Is there any way to rob this place? Invisibility doesn't work.
They have about 3 smacks worth of 75 damage before they shatter, But you can get like 5 of them throughout fort joy and they are massive.
You can use them as placable walls to break enemies LOS and stuff too, They won't target them normally.
You sick bastard.
I like you
Is there a permanent resurrection skill or is it only ever available from scrolls?
you teleport and or distract multiple ppl at once
You can also give them to your friends to make them unable to move until they drop them.
They fit inside crates if you want to keep them safe while still using their weight as a weapon. Not as satisfying as hitting enemies with a giant painting but 75 damage is 75 damage.
Wouldn't the smoke cover (aerothurge + scoundrel skillbooks to craft) skill obscure the trader from anyones sight to nick stuff from them? That or smoke grenades. But having a skill might give you more tries since afaik smoke grenades are quite rare.
I just proposed
I was hoping she'd let you smash
When respec becomes available can you also change what your companions look like?
i just beat dallis on Tactician on the boat
holy shit brehs
If you get fanes recipes you can make a thing that lets you turn your companions into other races so they look less dumb. Does that help/
Okay, finally killed Drillworm and Alexandar..
Where are the rest of Braccus set? I have the heart, gloves and boots.
Anything else I should get?
Where is Gareth and co,?
Gareth's on the boat, the Bracchus helm is in the ruin where you met Gareth
when you go into the hall of echoes after dallis, you lose the blood rose potion buff that is supposed to be permanent
going to make a mod to fix this.
Speaking of Roses, I picked one up at random, Does it do anything special or am I just an autist that cant ignore rare trash?
Just wondering because the mod to respec in Act 1 is letting me change each persons appearance, too. Pretty neat.
max scoundrel + 2 handed
Has anybody tried this?
I just realized I haven't even done that one...
Is there any worse feel than being stunned by the last guy before your turn, And then getting stunned again through the entire next round?
Any way to remove this green glow when im using the shapeshifter mask skills?
Thoughts on Glass Cannon? Thinking about using it on my ranger but losiung the ability to have armor protect statuses seems like a big deal.
Wouldn't be better, think about it mathematically.
Scenario One: 10 Warfare, 10 2H
Bonuses of 100% to damage, and crit bonus of 200%
Regular hits are 200% damage, crits are 400%
Scenario Two: 10 Scoundrel, 10 Two-Handed
Bonuses of 50% to damage, and crit bonus of 250%
Regular hits are 150% damage, and crits are 375%
Plus you lose access to warfare skills.
Its the biggest deal, Especially later on. I can't see anyone ever taking it.
What are the pieces for the complete Tyrant's set? Helm, armour, gloves, boots and...
The skynet AI instantly recognizes you have glass canon and uses some form of debilitation as soon as its turn comes around on your glass cannon character. Then does that for the rest of the encounter. Its bad.
Warfare skills really are the fucking best aren't they?
Getting to charge through like 5 guys, then turning around and sending them all onto their asses by sundering the earth
Then run forward and whirlwind and kill them all
fuck now I want to load it up and play some more.
Glass Cannon is the best talent in the game, especially for modes like Tactician. Make sure you take skills like Chameleon and Uncanny Evasion so you can survive multiple turns. It is a must on your damage dealers or Summoners.
Your armor gets melted in one hit anyway on Tactician, and Glass Cannon is an extra 50% AP
dont listen to this scrub retard. i just beat dallis on the boat on tactician, which he did not do:
That should be it
The thing is the damage from warfare stacks additively with your strength or finesse. At the end of the game, with 40 strength (could be more with items, but let's start there) you have +150% damage already.
Chilling out maxxing all cool as a skeleton with a full face mask
Magister with literally zero interaction to me prior runs up and uses first aid on me as his turns action
FUCKING METAGAMERS REEEEEEEEE
Glass Cannon is extremely good, it multiplies your AP by 1.5x. The armor issue is irrelevant, because anyone without a shield is losing all their armor in one hit on Tactician. Anyone who is shitting on Glass Cannon is bad at the game.
I have lone wolf, I already start with nearly max AP every turn.
Glass cannon is for the plebians.
when you go to the black pit bring FUCKING BLESS HOLY NECROFIRE WHAT THE FUCK.
Doesn't matter as pumping Scoundrel are points lost elsewhere, such as Polymorph (for additional Strength) or Warfare (which you will need to get to use skills)
Not to mention your crit chance isnt 100%, except in instances when you are using enraged
2H + Warfare is the best use of points.
I was insanely dissapointed to learn enrage didn't let me crit with thrown objects more often.
I was already dreaming of my 1000 damage box tossing lategame
Lone Wolf party:
Two characters, 10 AP combined per turn
1 tank + 3 Glass Cannon party:
Four characters, 22 AP combined per turn
Like I said, anyone shitting on Glass Cannon is a retarded brainlet who can't do math. No, the ~30 extra ability points from Lone Wolf at max level do not make up the difference of cutting your AP by more than half.
move something out of the way while no one is looking
some random bitch runs to you
this barrel was moved, who did this? You?
I know you're a criminal and I can see that you're wearing stolen gear even though I had no way of knowing that
you're better convince me to let you go or pay up or I'm calling everyone
20 guards now want you dead
By level 40 you'll have more than enough stats even without polymorph. And you need only 1-2 points in relevant schools anyways. These could easily come from amulets.
You can get very high crit chance, 3 slots amulet can get 36% crit chance on their own. Pretty sure >75% crit chance is achievable.
Isn't the max level 20?
Remind me again, who was Delorus in act 1? I just met him in Act 3, and he thanked me for saving him in Fort Joy
It's not the optimal use of points. You are better off getting max Warfare, Poly, and 2H.
Iunno Anon, you're talking about literally 150% extra damage for free (30 ability points) and thats from stats alone. 300% extra damage if you count the fact it doubles skills too.
I'm sure 4 characters played well could beat two Lone Wolves but there's a lot more room for error. Not even mentioning lone wolves getting damage reduction and shit across the board.
I ended at level 21 but I suppose if I went out and completed all the quests I could be at 22, or 23
Well it's your opinion man. Damage output is important in this game.
It's certainly good, but has less potential than a team of Glass Cannons with more than double the AP every turn.
Especially when you consider that much AP allows you to spam things like Evasive Aura and Living on the Edge with impunity, which Lone Wolfs don't have as much AP to do.
Is it the writing or the combat of this game that makes it fun?
Damage output is important in this game.
And you will get more damage output from maxing Warfare, 2H, and Poly (Apotheosis, Skin Graft) than from some weirdo Scoundrel shitbuild. Sorry if you hate math.
He's the dude getting fucked by the Houndmaster in the fort joy prison
Where'd you find him on the isle? He died to friendly fire when I fought the houndmaster
Honestly I think it's probably just a matter of preference, You have to play harder with fewer characters and less AP, but you're rewarded with each action feeling a lot more meaningful. While the RTS guy gets to feel like a tactical genius while his band of glass cannons shits all over an encounter and everything goes just right.
That oil barrel next to his dying body
Without fail a hostile hits it
And ignites it
Just fuckin leave his bitch ass.
right at the beginning, at the top of a broken bridge
I don't know why I'm even arguing with you. Your original calculation was flawed because you didn't even know that stats stack additively with warfare. You don't know that it's possible to get near 100% crit rate outside of backstab. You don't know that most end game gears give you an abundance amount of +abilities which ends up unlocking stuff like Skin Graft anyways.
I've played the game with Poly and Warfare, I don't see why I'm going to settle for the same meme on a replay.
there is truly no better feel in this entire game than a max damage tentacle lash crit.
Your original calculation was flawed because you didn't even know that stats stack additively with warfare.
I did it additively, you are not smart.
y'all niggas didn't heal him and get a 5th party member for that fight
I thought he remained on the ground if you healed him?
I'm a skeleton.
I can't be expected to carry around healing devices for these damned flesh-lings just to save NPCs.
I accidentally entered into a gay relationship between my manly dwarf and Ifan. How do I fix?
nevermind delorus gets killed no 2 minutes later kek
He actually wants even more tards to wrangle
All healing him does is get him killed even faster as he runs dumbly into the center of everyone and gets diced apart.
How do I fix?
But anon, you already got the good ending.
I engaged with one party member and bring the hostiles out of that room.
Seriously what do I need to do now?
I'm at the beginning of the game, did the tortoises and the geist and all the quests in the small cavern, but right now I can either go to the salamander caverns and get fucked up with fire or the arena and get fucked up by the super-optimized party. I don't know what to do.
I have bad news Anon.
You might be gay.
not doing the actual smart thing and starting conversation, then running everyone to the room on the left where there is only 1 ladder to enter from and covering the entire platform with oil to burn them all the death
git terrain abuse gud
No dice then?
1. get gud
2. kill magisters
3. get really drunk, get thrown in jail, fap to thoughts of magister rape like that one hidden paper warns of.
because anyone without a shield is losing all their armor in one hit on Tactician
Get off act 1 island and buy some better gear you absolute fucking scrub
His game doesn't have a day and night cycle
Do Griff's missing supplies.
Do the teleport quest.
kill everything on the ship
can get level 2 before you even leave it
this is gonna be an easy "honour" run
so I'm assuming in coop if one player takes lone wolf and doesn't grab a companion he doesn't gain the buffs of lone wolf?
No. In a duo both can take it and both get the effect.
One person doesnt in a threesome. No one gets it in a foursome.
yeah thats what I meant. Was hoping to relive what me and a friend did in the first one and I take lone wolf while he takes a companion.
Guys, when do the highest tier skillbooks unlock for traders?
I'm losing my mind, where the fuck do I have to stand to get a bead on this thing?
I tried up by the "lighthouse" too, but it was too high up or something.
Where the fuck is that undead faggot at the harrows? Can't get to him
What's your telekinesis level?
I've just been trying to teleport it, can TK really reach that far?
if someone dies but i win, do i still need to use a revive scroll?
TK is 5 meters per point. At 3 points you have the same range as far out man.
Hidden paper? Not the one on the ladder?
I just remembered that there was a door with a skull on the first ship? What's the point of that?
ran back to the lady and maxed out Fane's TK, took a little finagling but it worked
thanks anon, got too used to teleporting things and forgot TK existed
can someone rate the acts from longer to shorter pls
Any tips for radeka the witch?
t. the devs
Do not initiate any conversation
Kill everyone you meet right away, no trading or pickpocketing
When you go in, death fog comes.
You get one extra body to loot if you are undead already and thus can walk through death fog.
Open it and run THE FUCK to the other end of the room
You can find the key to it near Fane, when you go in there's a junk sword, a few containers, then a tentacle slams through and spread deathfog.
Arguably impossible I think?
You can kill all the magisters on the boat, and get level 2 before joy, but you won't get skills that are vital to not being shit if you kill all the traders before they even refresh
try out summoning
champion incarnates just annihilate the arena
are the Ones watching at the top worth killing?
Stingtail quest is pure hell when you play as Red Prince and want to see dreams, but also save the imprisoned elf without killing Griff and co.
go to talk to him, leave Sebille somewhere else because she kills him
order him to give you drudanae, because griff needs it (and I need his fags' skill books)
the orange won't let me put another drudanae in it, it just disappears
decide to buy an overpriced drudanae from griff
stingtail doesn't recognize it as a drudanae
speedrun to the fucking swamps at level 3
found a pure drudanae
back to stingtail
stingtail doesn't recognize it as a drudanae as well
decide to give griff the orange and and then steal the only working drudanae from his pocket
sebille says not to hand him over
say stingtail did it
freed the elf
quickly got back to him and killed griff assassin (gained tons of exp)
suddenly level 4, bought all I need from him
back to stealing
it appears no one in the crew has 2 stealth + 1 thievery for this mission impossible
magically the seller around has a gloves with +1 thievery
sebille with her 2 stealth gets the TRUE DRUDANAE
got back to stingtail, fucking finally see the dream
called sebille back to a party and let her kill him because he's a fucking faggot and deserved it
Remember kids, a drudanae is evil.
Just telekinesis enemies to death.
Anyone else find it really unsettling how NPCs just appear in multiple places at once with no explanation? Its mostly noticeable very early on.
Do the NPCs not have an AP cap at 6?
I just had Mummie Dearest run 2 screens, which is about 4-5 movement AP for my fastest characters, do petrifying touch, crippling blow and uncanny evasion in one turn, without any other status effects on her.
Thats like 10 AP worth of actions.
I wonder, can you still progress RP's story if you tell Stingtail to fuck off and just meet the dreamer in the swamp instead? I mean, technically all the late game dreamer/RP NPCs should still be there
Ignore the insects and "nothin personnel kid" her with your rogue.
Yeah, I've done it in EA playthrough, works fine.
i unlocked bless but it's not on my hotbar or skill list
where is it?
Got into act 2 and man do the bugs show, journal tells me that I didn't
Get all armour pieces of the Tyrant, rendering the set useless
Amyro wasn't saved apparently
Arena isn't finished
Withermoore wasn't saved
11 with glass cannon
maybe more with GC Loner
What are you talking about? Journal not properly completing quests happens from the very start of the game. Its annoying, but its hardly "bugs beginning to show".
In that case that fucker sure as hell isn't getting any drudanae in the near future from me
I always wondered if you could get him to dream without the drudanae somehow because if your MC isn't red prince it's possible to pickpocket Griff's orange (with the drudanae inside) from Stingtail before you talk to him and still have him and RP dream together
That's weird as fuck indeed, because he easily dreamed without drudanae in my non-RP playthrough as well. Don't really remember if it was before or after he gave me oranges tho.
I'm pretty sure some of it has to be marked completed for some things to work. Like the Tyrant set, it still curses even if I am wearing 4 pieces.
Do you think mods can fix the combat?
I think a handful of armor piercing debuffs and a more sensible scaling on armor values would do wonders.
find that sorcerer being held prisoner after saving his family earlier
play along in dialogue and let him free himself
once he does all these voidwoken spawn
okay no big deal
they're all oil/fire slimes and literally set the entire map on cursed fire
Oh good lord fucking 12 fps: the fight
Thank god for rallying cry because that shit is broken when you have 6 totems all sitting in the same place. Healed that dude to full every 3 turns.
MC dead at the end
sorc talking to Lohse
no option to tell him I saved his family
God fuck offffff. There is no way I'm redoing that whole bullshit just to see if MC talking to him gives me new options.
the arena only had 1 match
it wasn't even 1on1
rest is a setup to duel in MP
I hate this, such a wasted opportunity.
I loved the arena fights in Underrail and the whole hyping up of opponents etc
Dogo said there's some terrible evil under tavern but I don't see anything but fish.
thats the joke
what did you expect from a dog?
Didnt know that. Well, the consolation for you is that the set it sort of shit I suppose.
he doesn't have the idol
Who the hell puts the traps to protect the fish?
I just cannot be dealing with spookiness of this level.
Some russian babushka after Red Prince stole her fish last time he farted around the place.
reach the cave with the possessed dwarfs
level 11 and still using level 6 armour
game hasn't dropped a single fucking piece of armour since I started Act II
enemies all have about 200 - 500 physical while I have 100
dwarves all have wings for some bizarre fucking reason and constantly swoop around one-shotting my paltry armour and knocking my men on their arse
Fuck the stat hike that kicks in around level 9.
Is there a way to help the possessed little girl on Bloodmoon Island? I figured out how to exorcise the Dwarf but I have no idea what to do with her.
if you put barrels or chests at the bottom of ladders NPCs will wait like 20 turns before they try to destroy them, even if they're melee and the barrel has 1hp
Yep, you literally have to buy market trash to keep up with the gear. Isnt random loot and the armor system fun?
Pick up all the marked barrels, that moves things along.
3 have poison inside but one has decent weapons.
That's because there are 5 pieces.
So how do I continue Ifan's quest? I killed Roost when rescuing Saheila and speaking to Hannag doesn't do anything
How exactly does the plot respond to that?
Embrace those sweet, bug filled kisses she's offering.
If you're referring to the ring, then no dice.
buy some shit on invest in some fucking Lucky Charm.
Helm, chest, feet, gloves, pants.
kill some void scarecrow
earn "villain" tag
Pants.. Of course I forget about that one.
He just wanted to help you, man.
Why are you wearing outdated gear when you went through a town with the best merchants in the game?
What's with the shit stains on the character portraits?
I have noticed they appear when using the mirror.
You answered it yourself. It's a mirror bug.
one of the many bugs but it doesnt bother me
looks pretty cool in fact
Your main character should have all civilian points in lucky charm. If you do you basically drown in light purple items, and you are going to have either the items or the money to keep the gear of your entire party level updated.
A mirror bug. It seems the game renders portrait and during the re-rendering this bug happens.
b-but muh persuasion!
You don't even need persuasion until Act 2 where the skill checks get quite high, at which point you can put it in Loremaster because you gain civil points faster than you need them for IDing.
Put it on a secondary character along with the pet pal skill. Use that character when you have to do a persuasion check in a dialogue.
.. How to turn off the highlights?
Or do the opposite thing. Have a secondary character with maxed lucky charm and use it to loot crates and chests.
Use Lucky Charm on whoever your main loot mule is so you dont have to bother with transferring loot to him all the time. Persuasion + petpal on your main. Thats how I did it because my main does most of the important talking. I have 1 character for sneaking and stealing and 1 for loremaster, too.
This is better.
What this for?
act 1 respec mod
cool i can get rid of useless preset stats from other origin characters
blank character portrait on everyone
i would rather get some shitstain on my portrait than this
Depends what your main character is. You want to do the talking on your frontliner, if you have one, because they often start fights from their dialogue.
can i romance the rogue bitch as a female?
start marking everything and everyone on the map as soon as I see it/them
my life gets immeasurably easier
Why didn't I do this from the start?
No way to disable achievements on steam without adding a mod.
They should really introduce the concept of party skills, the same should go for pet pal. Its annoying as fuck to switch around to loot with someone, talk to animals etc.
Or have someone automatically interject if they have a higher chance of success or capable of it.
How good does female lizard caster armor look?
You can identify or repair shit as long as someone in your party has the skill so I don't understand why Larian doesn't just apply this to everything else. Surely my petpal buddy can be an interpreter for me and my barter guy can help me get deals.
When you try to identify something with a low level skill you get a notification like X shared Lore skill with you and it identifies it anyway.
What's the point of doing that anyway
the undead were slapped in at the last minute
Hey this concept art is pretty good,
Do any of these armours exist in the game?
Is there any reason to keep Kniles alive or should I kill him?
Looks like the kind of stuff you'd expect in a JRPG.
Companions from most annoying to least.
Sebille > red prince >= fane > lohse > beast = Ifan
I think those are NPCs in the final part
Yeah exactly, its already halfway there, might as well do it properly
Wow so after 60 hours of play I got my first merchant to come onboard my ship. Still in driftwood, just got the fletcher ... I assume there are more of these?
tfw no paladin gf
What the fuck do I have to do to make this bitch Cranley help?
I've seen the two in the middle on Paladins
does anyone know where I can find a herb called Augmentor?
you think more spells will be modded into the game?
Summon skeleton already modded in
Look a little closer at the barrels.
They're not all fish, some decent weapons, but also a few Voidwoken. Enjoy the BBQ.
You forget to add the part where scoundrel gives you movement. This can save you AP you'll spend on moving around.Scoundrel also has a skill that sends you into backstabbing that results in 100% crits.
Best combo is scoundrel+warfare and a combination the pawn perk that give you 1AP free movement to get behind them for free and the perk that gives you avoid attacks of opportunity so you can circle them with no fear.
Why doesn't DOS2 have a skill to summon suicide bomber necrofire pigs without mods? What a shit game.
I think i have the axe and i've seen the sword. Not sure about the armors.
you can summon a kamikaze skelly with a Scoundrel skill.
Someone in a previous thread told me I could recruit custom companions on the ship. How?
Talk to the lizard lady.
dealing fire damage and producing a fire surface.
Just make it do physical + bleed like other scoundrel skills what the fuck Larian!
All over the place t b h
I am honestly fairly happy that the wackyness in this game is limited to pet pal interactions and some enemies here and there.
It works much better as a result.
All she gives me is randomly generated twerps. I just want a full skeleton party.
To do that you need to create a LAN game and then launch the .exe 4 seperate times, create your characters and then leave on the alt profiles.
Having a blast with my 4 undead mage run.
Why do dwarves have such big titties?
Rolling with an undead caster duo, this is my life. Battlefield is a complete fucking mess, I don't think I've ever seen a cloud. Would love to blow up some poison clouds but that shit never happens.
used ignition on a frozen target
it's now stunned
What happened here?
should i destroy trompdoy's soul jar?
what about the rest of them?
What on earth do you mean by levels of mutation?
I'm new to this sort of game. I just wanna know if I can build my character however I want and still be able to pass difficult areas/quests/monsters. I'm playing on Tactician.
Welp. Guess I'll look into that then. Thanks.
If they're gonna let us recruit random nobodies anyway you'd think they would've allowed us to just make companions.
Depends, if building your character how you want means you have a summoner, then yes.
You can respec completely without consequence after Act 1. None of your spec decisions matter.
The downside is that during conversations between the party, you choose all the dialogue because technically everyone is a lead character. It feels weird to have conversations with yourself.
this is where you belong town crier
flaming sking costs a source point
only last 2 turn
What the fuck man.
i want to do these things but it always leads to the whole town coming down on me
Can I have a rundown of this game?
I never played a crpg before but this game seems fun. Can you guys tell me about this game please?
Do was you want with it.
what about the rest of them?
Keep them until you find the related quest.
Kill the Shadow Prince and allow the elves to take over the world
Or help him and destroy the elves for good?
Kill the Prince then destroy the Tree of whatever-
Poly gives you a stat point for each skill point I think.
Where is Kemm's vault? I found his secret room in the attic, but there is no treasure in it.
God damn it, does your party REALLY have to start out seperated on the boat encounter, just fuck my shit up I guess.
I'm new to this sort of game
I'm playing on Tactician
Good fucking luck
At the back part of his secret basement there's a secret room unlocked by placing the missing painting (which was stolen by some kids in the sewers) in between the two paintings of Lucian
In the secret room there's a secret shrine unlocked by finding and pulling out a book of one of the shelves
In the secret shrine there's a hatch leading to the secret vault which can be opened by placing a certain painting on one of the plaques. I don't remember the name of the painting, but it's mentioned if you read the plaque.
ah damn he lured some weird oil oozelings in
we're totally surrounded
ah they're pretty weak, nevermind this'll be easy
Didn't know you could have so many spell effects on one thing. I had cursed electrified blood clouds at one point.
That Witch encounter to free
Jesus christ why. CURSED BLOOD TOO OP
The two characters on the opposite site of Malady get swarmed to death
End up using all of my resurrection scrolls reviving everyone during the fight
Several of my characters die during the final round
Turns out the dead characters get auto revived anyway
Progress to the next part but without any res scrolls
Literally just heal everyone
what skill type combos are the best for a certain character?
like what goes well with warfare or huntsman? or should i just use one type per character?
what are the essential skill types i should always have? summoning seems essential, its rather broken
I get raped before I can rape her though.
Surfaces don't make me worry at all compared to DOS1. Just get the armor restoring skills.
not having poly on every character for the fly ability
Summoning feels essential until about halfway through act 2, you realise the game feels too easy and wish you didn't have it.
What level are you?
Just sneak to the platform where she would stand. Let one guy talk to her. The zombies are slow so they will take a while to get there. Make sure to take her out first. The only realy worry you will have are those beetles.
get to mordus house
find the skull thing with the gems to open the wall
picklock it because I have like 8 thievery from all the gear bonuses
solve the puzzle
get to the last room
decide to check the vases first
touch a vase
skeletons pop up
in the middle of the fight some dude wakes up and helps me
after the fight there's a dialog with your companions about whether you want to let him go despite what he did even though I have no idea who he is or wtf he's done
he just fucks off and I don't even get to talk to him
quest doesn't update
Did I break the quest by going to the cellar too early? I mean I haven't even reported anything to Lohar yet.
a gorillion candles, which if snuffed will kill each person that candle's soul holds
doing so will weaken a demon to make it easier to save lohse from the demon
tell her not to snuff out the candles
she does it anyways, dropping a fucking nuke on the country in order to save her own life
isn't this as evil as it gets? she didn't even lose her hero tag for this
The first thing I will say is that the game is pretty slow. Skipping quests/dialogue/looting containers is generally a bad idea. You need every bit of gold, need to read everything, need to explore everywhere and speak to everyone. You can pretty easily fall behind if you do skip stuff. Being a few levels behind your enemies means that they have a massive advantage over you. If you ain't down for a long slog then this isn't your ride.
Other than that it's a party based, turn based rpg. You explore dungeons, talk to cats and carry explosive barrels in your inventory so that you can place them around your enemies before a fight starts. The game can be hard at times...and it can also be pretty trivialized if you play it right. It can be really goofy... but also quite sad at times. It's a slow slog sometimes but is also really, really rewarding when things fall in to place. It doesn't hold your hand for anything but it also gives you all the tools you need to solve any problem you face, though sometimes you have to get creative.
Also really buggy at the moment, though I haven't run in to anything too game breaking so far. Mostly just quests not registering as complete (which usually doesn't matter because you get all the xp anyways... though sometimes it really, really matters and you end up having to reload a save)
That skeleton is unrelated to your quest with Lohar and Mordus.
Wow, thank you anon!
But don't you get the gem needed for the skull from Mordus or something, since it was his house and everything?
that's just a random lich that mordus trapped
if you let him free, you'll see him later on feeding on a bunch of dead dorfs, and you'll get to kill him then
Jesus there is so much I missed. I didn't even know there were any kids in the sewers, other than the caged boy, and I spent a long time down there.
I mean, the skeleton is related to Mordus and generally you go there after Mordus. They're only linked by association with eachother though, not quest progression.
This scaling is killing me. Unique items might as well not be in the game, since you have to throw them away in like 2-3 hours anyway.
Jahan asks me to let him come to arx with us
go to the boat
hes fighting Malady but she wont die despite having no HP
What the hell am I suppose to do
can you pull the source orb out, same as runes?
That's metal as fuck
Where's this? Is it a part of Lohse's story?
doesn't matter, jahan
tries to attack adramahlihk and gets buttfucked and thrown into his rape dungeon anyways
... How to escape the boat and get the best way out? I've got a feeling people will die here.
near end game.
you fight the doctor, adramahlihk, and if you don't snuff out the candles he's extremely tough. fighting him without nerfing him was the best fight i've had in the game, and the only difficult fight i've had so far.
took about 40 minutes while 3 manning it because if you keep lohse in the party during it he perma mind controls her and turns himself invincible, had no idea how to disable it so i just kept her out of the fight the entire time
damn I could use that
Scoundrel/Poly Sebille, do I go for 2 Huntsman for ANOTHER movement ability or just pump the scoundrel for max backstabs?
Is there a point where crafting becomes not utter fucking garbage?
Crafting weapons was god-tier in the first game.
Im not even up to arx
Im still in act 2 I want to go to the mirror but malady keeps knocking me down and Jahan kills us all in 1 spell
I WANT to use that, but how can i justify it when some random blue trash has twice the armor, which renders all other properties moot. Damn you Larian.
you fight the doctor, adramahlihk, and if you don't snuff out the candles he's extremely tough
So you essentially kill everyone in Arx just to fight him?
tfw haven't yet figured out how to cure Rattus Perfidus
Warfare for +% physical damage and a movement ability that has innate CC or another mobility if you go for phoenix dive, or another one if you go for blitz.
Aero is also nice for nether swap and uncanny evasion.
When are they nerfing summons by about 30% in all respects and making it so you actually have to think about what you're doing with skills?
So why didn't Slane fly us off the island?
How do I into flaming skeleton? Would damage from the tyrant chestpiece curse scale with level so I can always be on fire and heal?
only bone widow deserves a nerf
The flying nazgul would've caught you
He's a huge cunt
Even though you easily can kill the shriekers by yourself he flies by and one shots them for the sake of (((repaying))) what he owes you
The only proper way to handle him on subsequent playthroughs is to kill him and keep the witch's wand
How would you spell out the Driftwood theme that goes off wild with the trumpets /vg?
infusion 4 Champions
Use Vemon Coating Aura on them + Master of Fiery Sparks
ive ascended past divinity
He also drops a lvl 9 or 10 sword.
Make all summons have low armor so they're susceptible to status effects
Casting them costs HP
pre summon them before battle like you should anyway
nerf is non exsistant
Having a summon reduces your own max HP and armor while the summon exists
You take 10% of all damages taken by the monster
Damage is direct
Make the summoner have shackles of pain on totems and summons
Why are people calling for nerfs? This is not some assfaggots game, just don't play it or mod it if you think it's OP
are there first weapons in this game?
tfw have 7 mobility skills on my lone wolf sebille
Can't stop teleporting in and out.
Did anybody figure out how the rune upgrade recipes work? The recipe lists have them as 3 minors upgrade to 1 medium but that always gives me invalid combination.
Whats the level cap in this one?
SHE KILLLED MY SHINING LIGHT
Hate how you can only steal once from each npc, like what is the fucking logic behind that.
waiting on the new patch to finally play the game properly
they said couple of days and i'm still waiting
white character detected
Some of us need to play on easy, man.
This is not some assfaggots game, just don't play it or mod it if you think it's OP
Mods might work, but it's kinda shitty if you want to play a summoner but can't do it in any way without removing all challenge from the game because they're inherently broken.
I have to actively avoid summoning my fucking bone spider because every single time I think a fight is difficult enough to call for it, it immediately starts rampaging through everything and I suddenly find myself playing casual mode.
So glad I shelled out for steam rather than GOG.
If I ever want a DRM free version I'll just pirate it
i need a patch that fixes my fucking portraits
the logic, you dingus is that vendors are always restocking.
tfw it took me 27 hours to do the first island
still have something left on the boat too
Atleast I finally got to respec
GOG is just fucking unbearable for any game that still gets patches.
My main character got into a cell, how the fuck am I supposed to get him out of it?
Look through skill crafting
Touch of Corruption is bugged, any variation of geo/necro creates Spray of Corruption
I almost have Beast maxed out on all Touches
Just want to run around as 'Bad Touch Beast'
Beat the door down.
Or kill the rat.
Why is the Lohse version of Sing to me not in the soundtrack REEEEEEEEE
Want to do a second playthrough
Don't want to start now because of all the broken quests and the lack of community insight in the obscure quests because of completionism autism
don't want to wait either
I keep attacking the door though its hit points don't show up, I will try talking with the rat
Have you tried GM mode
Killing or talking to the rat nets you a single set of lockpicks.
I made that mistake too when I let the forge bitch take off my collar in Joy. I ended up murdering every magister that moved afterwards.
Thanks man! It worked
you can totally ignore the candle shit and just kill him regardless, but he's a lot tougher that way
also i didn't check if snuffing the candles actually turns any characters in-game dead, but it ought to if it's consistent. it even mentions some specific characters as being held by the candles
Does this game allow you to make custom scenes/environments like Neverwinter Nights?
God that would be good.
How to open the door at the lunar gate?
I wouldn't rule out the possibility considering you can gas the entire city of Arx if you find the dwarves' stash of deathfog and doomsday device
Does that change Lohse's fate or give you anything special? Him unweakened is likely the most difficult fight in the game I'd reckon.
Attune the pillars to their respective gods' alignment
Can you actually find the kid for the crying woman or is it actually just dead?
/v/irgins keep saying that game is completely broken and full of bugs but I already got to the other side of fort joy and havent really seen any bugs. Is it just contrarianism or do the bugs start appearing later?
i only did the unweakened version of the fight, and at the end she became completely freed and then sang a brety gud song for me
also did anyone figure out anything with this fish barrel or the eternal mirrors in his rape dungeon? the mirrors look like arrows but i couldn't do anything with them. it looks like there's another barrel outside and you just transfer fish between the two, but i didn't find any loot or anything noteworthy about them
How do you kill the guy in the driftwood tavern without stirring up shit? i mean the one the ghost asks you to kill during the quest "Aggressive takeover". The fact that you can offer him soup hints that you can probably poison him. I crafted a poisoned soup and offered it to him, but nothing happens.
Man, I hate accidentally doing stuff out of order. I end up breezing through some sections because I'm over levelled.
Aside from a few things here and there, a lot of the bugs are quest related and unless you've done them multiple ways, you'll never even notice.
Having bugs =! completely broken.
Yes it is buggy. First act less so since it was in EA for a year.
Doing faggot oil tower fight
Manage to get through it without anything detonating due to cursed oil
Suddenly 9 fire slugs spawn
Why design an encounter if you're just going to make it impossible?
Do you guys think a Scoundrel/Necromancer build could work?
The fight actually isn't that hard, imo. Since everyone's condensed on the tower, you can just stack up for magic armour restoration. Start chipping away at oils and they hit eachother for heals instead of you.
The ground doesn't do much if you don't move.
Take a wild guess
The only bugs I've run into is the quest journal not registering that you've completed a quest, but I've seen a couple of anons have difficulties with certain NPCs not spawning etc.
But considering I have yet to see someone unable to complete the game without getting stuck due to hard blocks caused by bugs I'd say it should be fine for now.
The encounter designer sucks.
Had the same thing happen, I felt really clever about the soup too. Teleporting him to a place more quiet will lead to COMBAT TO THE DEATH with the whole inn.
There's the lady in the shitter who said she mixed the soup with one of those void fish to see if it made it more bearable to eat. Mix the soup with the void fish, feed it to him, he runs out to the outhouse to shit, follow him, confront him when he gets out.
Now for my question. In the quest Bound by Pain on Bloodmoon Island, how the fuck do I get this demon to break free from the possessed dwarf without killing him? I've been beating on that fuck and getting him to ~100hp then healing him for a while now to "torture" him like the quest log says.
also did anyone figure out anything with this fish barrel
What does it mean
The only real bug I've found is that the Journal doesn't update. That said, you should know better of trusting /v/'s words.
i had that scroll too but forgot to use it while the doctor was alive. tried using it on the fish barrels and other random places and got nothing
Giratina can recharge source wands.
Play a non-origin character
Do the part where Lohse gets taken over and you have to fight her
It's everyone against her and you need to get her down to low health
harddrive fucks up later on, start the game again
Play as Lohse this time
Get to the same part
The fight is now everyone in the cave against my party, I still control Lohse and my party normally and she is still an ally
other people in the cave will just randomly hit character that aren't Lohse
You can change them in the mirror you twerp.
The cat's pure utility. It's shit on offense and defense, the important thing is the netherswap which is rank-agnostic.
Does warfare increase the damage of physical necro spells?
i tried a lot of shit and couldn't figure it out either. the game strongly implies you can save his life, but i don't think there's a way. i gave him death resistance and tried to beat the demon out of him, i tried draining the source out of him (the game doesn't even let you), nothing worked
you can rescue the little girl, though, but i'm in arx and she still is nonresponsive, no options to do anything with her
It says physical so it should.
How the hell do I get the adventurer tag? Also in the basement surgery quest is there any way for the sourcerer bitch to not die?
How? I was able to have her recharge wands during EA but I never found a way to during the actual game. Can she only recharge the charged wands that you find?
Thats happened to me every time I played as Lohse.
Only charged, fully drained ones.
The group stands beside you because they are loyal. In case you arent playing lohse it can be explained by your character being sensible enough to say "this shit is wrong".
The elf deserved it though. Nobody tries some ((exorcism)) on me
Of fucking course after dealing with it for two hours last night and then posting that, I manage to fucking do it. You gotta keep kicking his ass and healing him and when you talk to him and he screams to let him out, you break the source chains holding him in.
hmmm so far i got ralic, amadia, vrogir, lizard god, duna.
the elven god and the imp one remains, what are their alignments? because i cant find their temples/altars
The group stands beside you because they are loyal.
Considering they've known you in passing for less than a day, "loyalty" is a bit of a joke.
Elf is somewhat north-west of the temple, it's where
Alexander and his crew is located. The area is hard to miss but the altar isn't since it blends in with the terrain.
Imp altar is inside a pocket realm stored in a gem (?) near two wolves. I think it's west of the lunar temple.
Restore everyone's magic armor by like 150
Take 400 damage from necrofire every turn
Plus enemy damage on top of that
Too bad the shitty zipper initiative system doesn't let me double bless the fire without some faggot corrupting it in between each bless.
a bunch of shitters are crying about the GOG version
steam babies should kys
they literally support cancer
the game works perfectly fine on GOG
if you are having problems contact GOG support or Larian support
i've been playing for 90 hours and the game has been running perfectly for me
So what, you can permanently lock yourself out of the Gargoyle maze? wtf?
400 damage from necrofire
it ticks for about 40
Oh I actually got a double bless off, but the faggot NPC suicided anyway so now I have to start over.
he is probably walking around
Forget about builds and shit, this is the most important aspect of the game.
What did YOU choose?
Just delay your turn you fucking mouthbreather.
Only one I see crying here is you
cello/tambura are the best
Where in Driftwood is Mabel after you cure her from the cow curse? I have been looking for her for ages and can't find her.
Can you melt down un-enchanted weapons and make level appropriate weapons like the last game?
All the spider kisses give you -2 Con? That's some bull. I don't wanna leave this quest hanging but also don't just wanna kill the spider. It's not like she's doing anything wrong. She hardly even fights back.
Are these games worth it for the solo experience? Or are they mainly intended as a co-op thing?
cello master race
Anyone here has done Mordus on Tactician? Getting my ass kicked: I can't manage to burst him down when he's still in dwarf form, and killing anyone else of the dwarves makes him shift forms.
Other than Haste and Adrenaline are there any +AP skills?
Have your party smack Lohse around.
Cello for my human witch, oud for my lizard summoner
What is the deal with the Bridgekeepers basement, it leads to nothing?
bitch got a source skill frontloading ap
Bursting him down is basically the only way I managed it after a couple tries, he eventually died from shackles of pain. If you really want to get cheesy you can block the path with barrels and let him jump on your frontliner, then teleport the others down after they've used fly. It might buy you another turn or two.
Are spears good? Seems like other 2H are better because spears scale off of finesse, unless I'm wrong?
You can teleport up the waterfall at the end to get to
I picked Oud because I liked that best.
Use magic on me, he says.
Of course it won't kill me, he says.
I'll try to burst him down then, thanks. If that doesn't work, I'll just cheese it by bursting down one of the dwarves, getting out from the trapdoor, rinse and repeat, but I'd rather avoid that.
"I suppose that's what he wanted after all"
What does the Phoenix Heart do? I ate it and all it did was poison me
Also, how/when do you get to Arx? I have a couple quests in Act 2 that say I need to go to Arx, but if I start Act 3 wont I lose those quests?
Probably more enjoyable as a solo experience desu. Coop you have to wait during combat because your friend(s) have no doubt spent no time thinking about their turn and will now spend 5 minutes doing so.
Also have to wait for them to be able to play and it is a LONG game so have fun playing over a month+ if your friend doesn't drop out 2 weeks in.
The main difference is that they have very large range for melee and the opportunity attacks are great. For the most part, finesse scaling issues are the same as strength, in that your only real options are auto attacks and warfare/poly.
find white magisters in blackpits with prisoners in a house
set the entire house on fire with oil because the prisoners probably deserve it too and the magisters are two levels higher
one of the cunts runs away
Will this come back and bite me in the ass later?
black ring pawns tell each other not to kill
black ring pawn then immediately kills
arhu with an AOE
I thought poly scaled off strength?
FOUND THIS LITTLE CUNT. He was in the cave in Fort Joy.
But now I have another problem, this faggot just refuses to move and gives me the same old reply. Any ideas?
A dwarf near the docks in Driftwood told me some guy is hiding in a barrel. I searched every singule barrel and couldn't find him. Please help.
GOG just always gets patches at least days later, which makes playing cross-platform shit and is in general just annoying as fuck.
He dies to healing spells and even bless.
At which levels do I get civil abilities? Seems like it takes forever to get them.
he's in a small shack on the dock
had 2 thievery for a while
could steal 2-3 skill books per vendor
finally get another civil skill point and also find a belt with +1 thievery
can now steal almost everything a vendor has
a spot that obviously look like it has a hidden chest in it
some gold and a water balloon.
I hate random loot in games.
boots that give 7 finesse and permanent erratic wisp
shield that gives 2.7k phys armor, permanent deflection, 5 str, 2 const, a shit load of other stats
chest that gives immunity to stun and shock
late game gear is pretty crazy
Some of it does, though it's more utility than anything, the damage doesn't really matter. Two-handed is always about the big autos and opportunity attacks.
want thievery because I'm gonna Origin Sebille
want to play her like a knight because that's what I like
I feel like I'm doing this entirely wrong.
Anyone made good GM content yet?
i know some of you fags have beaten the game already
Something like every 3rd level
How the fuck do you save Emmie? I tried talking her down and the fight starts anyway.
TFW picked bansuri
Crossbow vs bow?
Did they even release the toolkit yet?
I don't remember if it's the egg or the heart but one of them unlocks a pyro ability
Whichever has the best stats
Fighting that blindfold arena fight broke my fucking game. I can't even fucking attack enemies anymore. It's just stuck in permanent movement mode.
Bows typically have more range and slightly less damage
Thanks, anon. Must have missed a barrel there or something.
Is there even any difference? just take whatever has better stats
They aren't separate weapon skills like dos1?
crossbows have MORE DAMAGE
and the only time you're gonna move is when you use tactical retreat to get somewhere high up to do MORE DAMAGE
So, how do I deal with Shriekers in Act 2? I sold all my wands and the helmet that has Purge.
use something that turns you invisible
go up behind them and use source vampirism
My main is a Necro/Warfare with a dip into Geo for heals (because Undead). I can't even remember the last time he barked "I need healing."
Meet source masters and do the rituals and you will find out.
There's no real good way to do it. Maybe you could summon the cat and send it in as bait
Has anyone figured it out?
You have to enter dialogue with her, squeeze her hand and then convince her with a Strength check.
After that I ported her to the Vengeance and all she does it sleep around in the hold. i'm guessing Act 3 she'll do something
Anyone using this? Is it good?
Does it work with GoG, can't test atm.
ask on the gog forums
stunned by electrified water
Yes I saw that option but it seemed like the demon just baiting you into freeing it because the book about her said there was little of her soul left. So I was wondering if there was a way to exorcise the spirit or deal with her in some other way.
Oh thanks for the reminding me anon, barely use that forum
find first half of the sword for tarquin
go to bloodmoon island
can't enter the archives because none of my characters will notice the hatch even though wits is at 18
brilliant game design
I haven't found anything that gives me Source vampirism. I have 3 pips though - when do I get the vampirisim thing?
you can talk to the thirsty ass well with each member of your party and get different rewards
What the fuck. Have I been missing out on other shit by not talking to them with each party member?
I guess you could try the soul consume. But the spirit outside says no matter what happens just get her out of here
Half of the problem with WITS is that it's utter shit in combat but offers good benefits outside it, especially during your first playthroughs
If you know where the hatch is then you can just dig there with a shovel and you will uncover it
you can't save the skullfriend in the beginning
fuck man, i'd love to have a talking skull companion
do the ritual in the cellar, sniff some gas,
don't have one, playin a lizzer so I never needed one. where can I buy a shovel in driftwood?
Imagine planescape:torment with divinity combat oh god I accidentally created the game of the century
also check the divinity series forum
it has threads on all divinity games there
bloodmoon island is objectively the worst area in the game
Not as bad as Paradise Downs, forcing you to sit around waiting for teleport to go off cooldown. The nether-monster was the only good part about it.
Bloodmoon is just horribly underused potential. Instead of having actual demons or other cool shit, its just some stupid possessed lizard who wants to fuck a tree
it's garbage, the statues are garbage, every quest is garbage, the area is hideous and it makes no fucking sense
it's filled with spirits, filled to the brim and yet NOT A SINGLE TIME is spirit vision useful, not a single time has a spirit on that island offered any genuine help. I honestly don't even know how the fuck you get there through the deathfog, I have Fane in my party at all times just to get through deathfog nonsense, but honestly how would you even get there unless you're undead
Just teleport/fly/whatever across the broken bridge remnants dude its not hard.
So I'm trying to RP the lobster as the biggest slut possible. How many things can you sleep with in one playthrough?
All of these comapion choice to fug
Avoiding them all
Why is everyone trying to be Bioware, how come we can't all be platonic adventuring buddies?
he doesn't want to fug
are you a faggot?
BY THE HAZING OF THE SHADE
Even if he is, he could still choose Ifan.
How is it like Bioware if it's a choice?
You are not forced to fuck them, you can keep the relationship platonic and shit
God dman dumbass
I beat the arena but that person still won't take off my collar, wtf.
Ask the smith
I lost to the areana backw hen I did it at like literally level 1, I tried to come back and beat it at level 5 but you can't do it again.
Fuck m8 I just want that loot
GAY SKELETON SEX
I'm in driftwood and I still don't have a shovel, where can I get one
glad I'm not the only one who's bothered by it
romances shouldnt be shoved in our faces
I am just worried it will have some consequences later on that fucks up a main or companion quest.
Why would you need a shovel?
you didn't let The Red Prince die, did you?
act 3 here, about to go finish the game, still couldn't do anything with her. maybe i'm retarded though
no, because of
now I need a shovel to dig up the hatch because I know where it is but my character refuses to 'discover' it
What happens to the Anathema pieces if we give them to Tarquin? Do we ever see them again? Can we craft the weapon ourselves?
Nebora? I talk to her and she doesn't do anything for me.
the blood reaches all the way, but the blessing on the blood stops right before the end
Yes and no
Just keep trying, took me a couple of attempts as well. Try blessing the blood on top of the grate before you activate the machine
No, they're grouped in the ranged skill
yes and no
Let me put it that way-will he stab me in the back or is he an alright dude? I want to see the weapon but don't want to fuck up my campaign for it.
that worked for the blood, ty anon
He's an allright dude, he wont betray you
I didn't do his quest on my first run and he berated me for fucking up and dooming the world
Play as Origin Sebille
Fuckass elves tell me
I'm the Head Scion on some special snowflake shit
Say I will never be a slave again
They jump me, 2 levels above me might as well be 10.
They kill me first turn
What the fuck...I just want this master guy fuuuuuuck
I suspect it's one of those quests that might have different outcomes based on your interactions with him and the rest of the world. He gave it to me and spent the rest of the game chilling on the ship but he was still a cunt towards me
oh come on guys, are there really no shovels in driftwood? is there only one fucking shovel in the entire game? larian can't be that stupid
Huntsman abilities work with dual wands
Fun times, i guess i'll go with melee sparkstrike staff user and a huntsman dual wander in my magic damage party along with 2 regular mages.
Cheers guys. Guess I will give him a shot and hope for the best.
why is bone widow so fucking OP? I literally can't use it because it turns tactician mode into explorer
that spider deals more damage than my archer on top of having 10 times more hp
Anyone know if there's a way to restart quests? My "Arena of Fort Joy" quest says I fought in the arena and was defeated. I won. But I can't remove my collar because of this bug.
We've hit the bump limit, someone should make a new thread
You could just momentarilly respec a character, dump all points into wits and respec him back once you open it.
you should make a new thread
It gets crazy when you buff the fucker some magic armor. Then it becomes a rampaging, magic resistant doom spider.
They need to give it less ap, so that it can only move once, or attack once.
how do i fight one of my companions in the arena thing beneath the kitchen?
did the first 4v4 or whatever, what do i gotta do now?
The last time I made a thread because we'd hit the limit nobody went to it and 10 minutes later someone else made a new thread that everyone used instead
there is only one choice
What is the point of Wares?
ofcourse it wont kill me
when it was just established that he can only lie
I'm not sure what you expected
What I don't get is why it didn't kill the other rat.
Do I REALLY need to kill all the magisters in the castle or whatever.
Is there no way around it?
In fort joy?
How long is this game? I'm like 10 hours in, still in Fort Joy. Also where the fuck is the teleport glove guy
Besides the ones that help you escape and maybe the girl who's father got possessed, there are no good magisters and all conversations end in fights.
simple. There's a "offer all wares" button on the trade interface, which will automatically shove everything marked as "wares" into the trade window. Saves you a few clicks and searching for stuff. Nothing special beyond that.
I thought he was using facial expressions to get around the curse but it was actually just the game trying to tell me that he couldn't say it because it was a lie.
Oh well, rip lying rat.
I'm at 50 hours and it looks like I still have a good bit of act 2 left.
