This

Cyclical time.

Entropy destroys all information, so the beginning and end are the same.

Eternalism. Free will is an illusion

Congrats Dr. Science, you solved it.

If only we had access to the fifth dimension...

time is a meme

...

I'm in favor of possiblism, as I am a fan of Process Philosophy.

Have to go with presentism. There's just no reason for me to believe in another model.

But all those 3 models seem to imply that time is moving in a set direction at a set speed or rate.

Where's the "static time" model? Or the cyclical one?

Probably possibilism, even though it's the least realistic in all probability

>theory
>correct

That's the third model.

The idea is that everything is in something like a fourth dimensional block, and doesn't imply and sort of directional. Rather, everything is just 'there'.

None of them. Time is a cube.

that is the third one

Why does existence occur in the first place?

No, the third one posits time as an irregular 3 dimensional object.

Time is a 4 dimensional Qube.

Static time would be presentism.

Quality board

there's clearly an arrow indicating movement in the "presentism" figure user.

Then how do you differentiate the present from the past and future in the 3rd model? If everything is "just there" then why are we in the 21st century now and not, for example, the 15th?

phenomenologically, possibilism. scientifically, eternalism.

phenomenological reasoning is superior to scientific reasoning.

because we don't exist in the fifteenth century.

this is an example as to why phenomenological reasoning outweighs scientific reasoning.

just like i wasn't born in Nigeria, i wasn't born in the 15th century either

really tickles my brain cells

Yes, indeed. But a static time would still be a form of presentism, since it holds only the present to exist.

JPGs aren't exactly places of philosophical nuance you know.

None of them, since space and time are one and can vary due to forces acting on it.

None of those, time varies with frame of reference but is closest to "eternalism".

Possibilism sounds alot like Molinism

Cyclical in what sense? Like cyclical universe or like timeless decision theory of Yudkowsky?

static time's a paradox you dip

>time varies with frame of reference

That's pretty much the contemporary eternalist view. Special relativity is one of the main arguments for eternalism.
