Does that mean the server can be played from an iPad? Or is it just for Macs? I remember Android client being a thing for other servers.

Do they have a donation system? most of the time, if a developer tells you he need a break due to irl stuff is because he got tired of doing stuff for free. The ones that keep doing shit is mostly because they are ol' friends with the head-admin and don't want to leave him doing all the stuff alone yet they still do everything slowly because there's no motivation at all.

Those kind of servers are mostly run by a turbo nerd with huge passion and lots of free time. It isn't that hard to do to be honest but once its a group of people instead of only one guy, things works differently. Also, when working with a staff, you take a lot of time arguing which stuff do you want/don't want in the server.
