280 ideal dps means absolute fuck all when the hero has a wide spray and his effective range is melee with no good way to reach that range.

Fun fact: Genji's map wide 0 fall of projectiles deal 223 headshot dps, up close obviously very easy to hit because you just right click while aiming near the head from above. But that also means you can deal 166 dps with the M1 from massive distances.

Reaper's damage isn't even special for the hoops he has to jump through to deal it

I mean tracer deals 240 body shot dps and is a helluva lot more mobile and survivable than reaper is

Practice a lot is the only real answer if you're dedicated to playing McCree because you like him

If you're dedicated to doing well and climbing to higher ranks you're better off on another hero

If you're extremely good at aiming with McCree you can pretty much always contribute more if you pick Widow instead

Doomfist is fundamentally defunct on arrival in my opinion. No small change will fix him. He isn't really that good, but gets away with being shit by having a gimmicky 1 hit ko, as you say. It will take a lot of people not playing him to get Blizzard to investigate, since they always rework or buff heroes who are used the least.

Man, playing Tracer ~3k SR is suffering. If I don't have gold elims and multiple final blows per fight my team always asks me why I'm not doing anything. Even if the enemy swaps to McCree and Doomfist and chase me around all game. Back to zero comms, I guess :/

I used to be absolute garbage with McCree but I improved to be decent with him in like a couple weeks. It's not complicated. Just pick McCree, settle on a good crosshair, and then go to the Practice Range and practice tracking and flickshotting(mainly flickshotting) on the moving bots for a minimum of 10 minutes. Then once you are good enough to hit them consistently, go to vs. AI, and fight the Hard AI and just try to kill them before they can kill you. And when you can do that, just practice him in QP where to be honest people have worse aim than the bots and up until Diamond pretty much the same level of movement. The hardest part of practicing is that there is no Pharah bot so you have to practice hitting an airborne target. Alternatively have a friend pick Pharah or Mercy in a custom game and then just go 1v1 against them until you get a feel for tracking Pharah.

This sounds really fucking simple but this is actually how you do it. My aim with McCree was terrible, now my accuracy is a consistent 50-60% and I only play like 2 games a day. If I can do it you can.

A few patches ago... I think it was part of whatever the major, non-event patch was that came out a few weeks before before the Summer Games event patch.
Might've been the Deathmatch patch, might've been the custom crosshairs patch... I can't remember.

Here's an actual reminder. Reaper was meant to have sombra low health passive so he can chase down and reap people grim reaper style and that would add up to his dark personality.

For some reason they gave it to sombra because a hacker can sense near dead people for some reason.

The biggest issue with this games balance is the lack of mobility tax

Some characters are just fucktons faster and better and moving around the maps than others, and pay absolutely no penalty for doing so.

There's 0 reason not to pick them

This game is such a fucking joke. It's designed for children and girls with no skill who just fuck around. If you can't get diamond on console you can't call yourself a gamer.

hes pretty great at disrupting the back lines though. You don't need to always 1hko, just knock someone back and use uppercut, slam to get away then punch again.

The only thing he really could use is maybe 1 second lower cd on upper/slam or maybe slightly faster forward walking when charging his punch

If you're playing on a generic 800-1000 DPI mouse that you don't even know the DPI of, 8.5 might actually be too high. But what's important is whether or not you are able to make consistent, precision shots.

I think people are just used to the traditional ways they get unavoidably instantly killed so when they die instantly in new ways it pisses them off.

All the DPS heros in this game are overpowered. The TTK in this game is way too fucking fast.

Since you don't know the DPI of your mouse(which you should look up), I wonder if your mouse acceleration is on too. I disabled it and while it takes a little getting used to, it will markedly improve your aim. Look up "disabling mouse acceleration."
