Yes, actually. Pods will eventually zone in on your squad, even in concealment. The design philosophy behind concealment is that it lets you set up an ambush, it's not supposed to turn X2 into a stealth game.

Well actually it's pretty clear they were considering more Chosen, but I wouldn't call it cut content, and there is no sign of a fourth faction. Clearly extra Chosen never made it out of the conceptual phase.
