/hg/ should have a good discord to use now that everything is BC. The current discord only has one channel dedicated to halo when there should be more. Everyone also says to not use it but provide no alternative discords. So someone that's not involved with the current discord should make a new one and that discord should be added to the OP

Yes. I've found the Project Cartographer discord useful since they post updates there, and I can't be assed to check for updates regularly. The /hg/ discord has anons who are pretty autistic. If you're joining expecting Halo like I did, just stay in the thread. Everything relevant will be posted here anyway.

Have admins who aren't autistic fucks for once, don't change peoples names, don't fuck with sections, aren't dramafags. Look to the company. I've just finished looking at Halo 5's customs options. they've improved massively since I last played and there's some surprising additions like: empty reload speed, tactical reload speed, motion sensor visibility when using spartan abilities, way more Oddball options, Reach-tier Infection settings and not 4's "Flood" mode bullshit.

it's funny how it has all been forced to fit though.

If you want to see if the discord is cancerous just join. I could tell you straight up that it's 95% not Halo, the #general tab is a /b/ clone while the #halo tab is slow as fuck and competes with gacha and fucking runescape of all things, and the only real association with /hg/ is that the same people occupy both, but you can always find out for yourself if you want.

From a forging perspective It's the best, but the game is still built around mechanics that make it feel off in customs, even if you turn off the abilities. Plus no split screen hampers it a bit. The game mode optgions are also a bit limited.
It has gotten significantly better though. Halo 6 is going to be a contender for best halo imo.

yeah, it'd be very fucking difficult for 343i to mess up customs now. I'm gonna say forgeable firefight is the big thing we get in 6. seeing as forge is excellent, the customs options have been improved and warzone firefight is a thing.
