She's been working with Kokichi for a while at this point and is presumably aware that he's very much the type to go snooping, and thus the type who's likely to be aware of any plotting going on against him. She's been inventing shit for him at his request partially because fuck the mastermind and partially because fuck yeah inventing, but decided to quit cold turkey because she up-and-decided it was pointless to go against the mastermind, and she knows he's going to be plenty aware of the fact that she's quit cold turkey.

With this in mind, her best idea is to immediately try to kill him. On one hand, with him out of the way she's got a major obstacle at the trials gone, but at the same time she should very well know that there's a very low chance he's not going to catch on in advance and plan around it.

She sets her plan up pretty shittily, planning on killing Kokichi using a hammer in reality and framing Kaito for it with poison with effects that don't really mirror getting your head bashed in with a hammer. She makes it blatantly obvious that she's up to something when she knocks the bridge into the river, and doesn't even bother making sure that the bridge won't get caught on the bloody rocks. She's noticed on her way to "meet" Kokichi by both Tsumugi AND Kiibo, and didn't take into account in the least that Kokichi could have possibly planned around anything she had set up.

Again, is there something big I'm missing here, or did they just really sort of drop the ball with her? Granted, she was kind of designed to be a drop-the-ball character to begin with, so I shouldn't be terribly surprised, but... Like I said, it still feels like they just decided she had to be written out because the plot demanded a victim and she happened to still be alive, and then wrote her out without thinking about what an actually competent way to write her out might be. I dunno, maybe I'm missing something or salty.
