Well, they use pets. Not sure how exactly accurate this is, but think of them as a Hunter from WoW, but with magic. And if you haven't played WoW, pets just means you have more things to manage during the fight.

I just got 3 of those and I'm a monk that got lost in praetorium after not playing that dungeon for like a year and a half so I wasn't with the party for like 2 boss fights, and caught up with them for the final boss.

Sounds more like the healers are eating paste than anything
1800 in shield oath is still pretty bad for Omega Savage though, when people babied tank stance in early prog they were still pulling at least 2200, PLDs especially since their burst phases aren't dependent on stances particularly(unlike WAR/DRK inner release and blood weapon for instance, they just have the flat damage penalty)

SB dungeons are still the best option even with a DPS queue. SB dungeons give ridiculously good experience
