What signs of improvement? Rev 2 is an abomination. It has the least neutral of any GG game. Every combo leads into a setup and the new characters are braindead as all hell. The returning characters have been dumbed down. People completely let this shit slide for years.
And now it looks like ASW caught the Capcom bug. Look at DBFZ. That's a casual mashing game on the level of fucking jive. No one should be praising that trash.

That's how GG works, you get a hit, you confirm into knockdown, you do a mixup, your opponent defends.
There are various ways to deal with different setups and learning them is part of learning the game.

I've yet to find a combination that doesn't work well with one another.
As far as combos go I made my own, all you need to do is figure out what your character can do and just experiment through different branches.
Its only like 3-5 hours, and youd probably be spending that time either getting stomped online or practicing a combo you stole online.

It's not really, might be because of different top tier characters, Johnny is slow, Raven is slow, Dizzy is fast, Baiken was also faster in +R than what she is in Rev2.
Zappa is pretty slow too, but he will spend a lot of time just controlling his summons.
