I mean we can talk about equipment, but coming up with clever memes is more fun; and final fantasy has such rich art, music, and characters. Lets be honest; BE isn't even really multiplayer so it's not like the equipment or game progression really even matters that much. The main purpose of the game is to collect the pokemon you like the most, whether due to nostaligia or aestetics; and then min/max their stats. It's basically single player WoW. You can't even use more then 5-10 characters at a time.

I'm doing my pull right at the start then getting the fuck out before bad vibes curse me for the future. Well, the past few threads have been emitting bad vibes but I've slept through most of the storm, hoping this keeps up for the rest of my festival draws.

Vanille or Penelo's USBs would be great since I just got their bursts and would liketo have an excuse to use either of them over Iris.

Quistis's OSB would let me complete her character, and I'd REALLY like Gilgamesh's USB just because I want to find a reason to use him. Or Cecil. Or Vincent's USB, I pulled hard for that and Red XIII's during the DoC event.

The chain is a massive part of it, it gives Cloud so much more damage that it's absurd.

I want any of the USBs from V so I have reasons to use characters like Gilgamesh or Faris as their BSBs just aren't pulling enough weight anymore. Tidus's CSB and Zack's CSB are also welcome.

So what do you gorillas do, just spam Lifesiphon until they're pretty much at 3 bars and go to town? Do you just spam SBs, or do you ever use Cloud's burst command?

nah. I get Cloud and Zack up to 2 bars. Zack Chain, then Cloud USB in short order. Then Zack BSB, Cloud BSB2. Both do CMD1 until the enemy is dead.

People probably identify more with Final Fantasy Characters, then anime characters, even though the resolution was lower, they had no verbal speech, and the mechanics were somewhat repetitive and simple because they actually controlled the characters through the adventure. Even though the stories were entirely linear; agency caused association with identity. This is why people still like and play games with these characters 10-20 years later... that and the amazing music.

40+ hours is alot of time spent thinking that you a certain persona is an extension of who you are.

It's a spinoff in the sense that Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was. They basically copied the party interface and UI coloration to make a strategy game. Honestly, it was rather interesting to play a FF game where you have no direct control over what the units do. It's basically like the arena where both sides let the Ai decide which moves will be used.

It is. Mythril Saber is the first sword you can buy, but it's weaker than Hardedge

Isn't Hardedge that sword you steal off SOLDIERs in the Shinra building? I think it actually gets sold in Junon.
