At first I was under the impression that Double wasn't a shapeshifter, but in fact that she literally turned herself inside out. And then later on I thought that Double was also a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde like situation. The monster and the nun being different personalities.
I also initially thought Marie was more villainous, with the skullheart being a more prestigious item. Rather than something that binds you into slavery and will make you a mindless killing machine.
Painwheel was confused as to why during her numerous surgeries Valentine decided to give her implants. Valentine is explaining that she felt bad about everything else and decided that they were an apology gift.

The thing I keep noticing, is that Sonic always has an uncanny ability to wait right as his opponent's about to make the hardest read, which he then punishes to turn the whole match around.
Rabble was the wildcard though. Rabble seemed to be making reads Sonic wasn't ready for. I think he was the best shot at knocking Sonic out.
Sage kept it close, but it's too bad this wasn't his time to shine.

How much can you learn of the game by simply watching other people play it and hearing commentary?

A bit actually, if you think of it kinda like mental training. It's definitely a way to get ideas for your characters, and watch combos you can practice later, but you'll still have to have the execution to pull off those things. A lot of stuff is harder to do consistently than those guys make it look.
The one thing you won't really learn at all from just watching though is defense. Knowing how to block a lot of setups, under pressure, definitely requires experience. But you can get a small idea of what to expect from watching matches, and maybe understanding the pace at which some resets happen.

I learned a lot of my BnBs from watching tournament footage. Didn't really bother going to the forums until a lot later. I figured whatever was good enough to do in tournament was what I needed to try.
Also learned a bit more about what kind of stuff gets punished. Like when I started I did a lot of jHP spam with my characters, which my friends had trouble defending, but saw from footage what kind of things good players were doing to blow it up.
