>get on the ship for the first time
>can't find fane
>reload a save to reboard the ship to check it out
>follow fane
>he despawns at a life boat
WHAT THE FUCK I NEVER LOST ANY REP WITH HIM OR ANYTHING, IS HE GONE FOR GOOD?

Best elemental schools for duo lone wolf mages?
Pyro seems like it has a ton of immune enemies, what about the other elements?

Also how's the offensive capability of hydro? Aero seems better but getting elemental affinity for hydro and geo is so much easier.

>arrive in driftwood
>ALL
>THIS
>FUCKING
>FISH

i never even use food is there any usefull recipe for it?

at least i got a shitload of gear thanks to lucky charm

REEEEEEE I've been working for 6 days straight i have no time

how do you boys balance your gametime with your work?

How did a full summoner group go? Probably easy af...

Can someone give me advice on poly builds. Also I want to do a new run, last time I did pure magic. Should I try pure physical? Hybrids don't seem to be worth it since you're splitting damage all fucking day.

i'm fucking retarded i found him wew

Definitely pyro/geo with a few splash points in hydro and aero for heals and teleports

I want to MILK Mabel!

>Red Prince has been my pack mule for the whole game
>Turns on me during the nameless isle shit
>Kill him
>Corpse is unlootable

What's the logic behind blood being the only way to douse the fire guy?

Did they just want to make it impossible to figure out on your own?

What happens when you Enrage your summon and use the 50%-more-damage-but-die-next-turn-skill

what does this open?

>Hey I'm having trouble with X fight. Any advice?
>lol just teleport them and solo each person one by one and win

Teleport resisted by PA/MA fucking WHEN?

>rupture tendon big bad
>teleport them away
>they die running back

Oh wtf, so I escaped fort joy through a sewer pipe, but now I can't go back because all the magistars will kill me on sight now???

So I'm at the second half of the game and my character is supposed to be going first but his turn keeps getting skipped at the start of combat. Is this normal?

dumb waifufag

Just avoid them.

>mob uses rupture tendon
>i ambush
>instantly die

Physical
Honestly, going down to the end I pretty much stopped carring about the enemy's magical armor.

Just kill all the magisters.

Already finished a physical run.
Shit was easy as fuck.

Aight then

i only finished act 1 with quad summoner and despite it being honour mode it was easy as fuck especially since i knew when and where enemies pop up, only doing this shit for the achievement anyway

How do you exorcise the little girl from bloodmoon island once she is on your ship ?

won't that fuck up with quests?

i've heard there's so many quest givers and stuff

So far the endings seem to be:

1 Become the Divine:
Pros: Unlimited power, you can help Malady with her quest, United Rivellon
Cons: Fort Joy still around, people still dying to Voidwoken, no stability and no end of the war in sight

2 Sacrifice:
Pros: God King defeated forever, United Rivellon
Cons: Handing the power into the hands of a sadistic fascist dictator again, with his heirs advised by a woman who decided bringing back Braccus was a good idea, elves never trust the alliance again

3 Sharing the Source
Pros: Fort Joy closed, God King BTFO and forced to fuck off since the voidwoken cant compete, no ultimate dictator,
most nations prosper still and Rivellon continues to exist for millenia to come
Cons: With everyone equal Rivellon goes back to its warmongering ways between the races.

4 God King's Return
Pros: The world is back in the hands of its original owners who have been done justice now.
Cons: Everyone else is a slave.

Am I missing any? Which one was your favourite?I personally like option 3 best.

Is it feasible to run a party of 4 rogues / 2 lone wolf rogues?

Feel like doing a sneak squad

Number 2 is the best ending.

Dallis did nothing wrong

oh boy

Sharing the Source is objectively the best one.

Sacrifice
Lucian was right

Is there any downside to murdering the companions I'm not going to use? Doing a Lone Wolf run so it means a lot of free resurrection scrolls

so how butthurt is Ederposter right now?

I dont know, I like it best because it allows for meritocracy and pulls down idols of dictatorship, but it depends on what your priorities are. If you value peace maintained by a jackboot and lies but believe it is best for everyone because it is at least living in peace then 2 would be best. I think it goes 3>2>1>4 for me.

I don't understand this whole idea that you can only like one of them.

They die anyway

sacrifice is the best, Lucian did NOTHING wrong

elves deserved that shit for plotting world dominance, they should be glad they're getting any reparations at all since Lucian could easily finish them off

Yeah I knew that, but are there any lategame consequences? I'm not playing a good guy so I don't care about murdering innocents

>Larian putting the shittiest parts of the game at the very end of 100+ hours so game critics who never finish games anyway only enjoy Fort Joy and Driftwood

Brilliant!

>play through the game on tactician with full phys party
>works like a charm
>start a second run with pure casters, decide to go casual classic
>get my shit fucked up

is magic (outside of summons) just fucking bad?

>playing fane
>not bringing your race back

would be cool if ending 4 was cannon and you'd have to begin a rebellion against the eternals

The problem is there is no scoundrel equivalent magic tree

Scoundrel still sort of works in Magic party, it has some pure damage options and if you have a bunch of shield throwers then you could still break phys armor.

>Genociding people draws the attention of the God King and Voidwoken
>lied to everyone that sourcerers summon Voidwoken so they can be more easily hunt down as neighbours betray them
>close them in concentration camps with forced lobotomies
>right-hand-woman brings back the most evil man in history
>bootlickers will defend this
>bootlickers will give this tyrannical madman the chance to rule again through lies, deception, and corruption

Fuck no.

What element is best for an incarnate? I've been using blood mostly because physical damage and you get a CC skill but you only get +1 warfare to the +3 you get in other disciplines from other surfaces.

None of these are canon. Canon is Lucian remains divine and none of this happens otherwise Div2 makes 0 sense. D:OS2 must be non-canon or just a dream in Damian's head as to how he sees Lucian or something or it makes no sense in continuity.

the end justify the means

fuck off elfcuck

Well, they're already hostile to you, so why not?

And the only quest I can think of that requires talking to them is the one with Magister Yarrow.

Sorry, blood AND power infusion, blood only gives the mosquito skill and +1 warfare, not the CC.

>played divinity 2
>dont remember shit
my fucking memory

>100+ hours to complete this game

no

The one that turns him into a Bone Widow

Read fewer minds and you'll remember your experiences better.

The end is as shitty as the means in that scenario. Stop licking the boots of tyrants and liars.

Scrub here, is there a checklist of things to make sure you do before you leave tutorial island or does it not really make much difference.

Chloroform scales with INT, a highly useful magic armor breaker and CC combo..

then nothing else does. Its really wierd.

Chloroform doesn't scale with Int, it scales with Weapon Type but it just does Magic Armor damage and the Sleeping effect is Magic CC.

>it scales with Weapon Type
So if I have a dagger it scales with INT? Still, nothing else in the tree does that.

If you have a Dagger it scales with Finesse.

do i DL the 8gb or the 24gb from tpb? first was updated in july, the other is almost up to date

where does lohse go if you dismiss her in fort joy? she isn't by the shrine

Just go solo LW rogue. You'll have to exploit every single sneaky breeki mechanic the game has to offer in order to survive: invisibility, re-stealthing during combat, smoke grenades, etc...

Outside of third tier source abilities, there is no combination of spells you can use in the game that can put out the kind of damage that two backstabs can on a scoundrel. And those are just basic attacks meaning he can do it every single turn. Which means a pure magic build has absolutely no way of taking down a high priority target in a single turn

Simple fix would be a spell which turns 100% of weapon damage into magic damage of some kind.

I want this game to be the next Neverwinter Nights. As in: full of user porn singleplayer custom campaigns. I feel it has the potential. Have they released the game editor yet?

When you go into sneak in combat, do the enemy NPCs move to your last know location or something?

I noticed that when I tried to set up an ambush and "pulling" with one character to a fall back position, that enemies are leashed to a position, run back and reset their health.

They don't do that if you re-stealth or anything like that, do they? gave me an MMO vibe watching a magister forget about me throwing a giant ball of rock at them

>Get to act 3
>have to get a new goon because one of my people betrayed me
>Ask for a conjurur so I can try something out
>They start with a wand and a shield
>But wear finesse armor
>And have like 3 spells

Really Larian?

>First time on tactician
>Fighting the beach turtles
>Fight goes pretty well except Red Prince whose scraping by.
>Decide to finish off a turtle near my caster tank with a magus bolt.
>Causes the turtle to explode, causing another turtle to explode, causing a giant pool of water to electrify, creating a combination of damage so large it kills my main character

Man, Tactician is kicking my ass, and half the time its myself kicking my own ass.

when do i get to fug lohse

Any useful mods yet? Does the reduced vitality mod actually make items worthwhile after a level or two?

hey Larian fags

how often are balance patches released? I'd like to exploit some new mechanics

Never played any of the Divinity OS games before, plan on getting 2 soon. Whats it like?
It looks really fucking neat, but I haven't played too many top-down RPGs.
And is the first one worth checking out?

This is pretty much the problem with melee characters. If you have more than one you're going to end up doing more friendly fire damage to yourself than to the enemy. I dont understand why the shit is so selective

>Warrior can use whirlwind and not hit anyone
>But a mage can't make fire that doesn't harm his allies

just try it. this one.

When you fail to become the divine at the namless isle.

First one is ok but the story is dogshit, second one is much better written.
Both are very unbalanced and extremely easy to exploit by using basic mechanics so if you have half a brain you will either breeze through like some kind of god or have to force restrictions on yourself to make it somewhat fair.

been wanting to start this game, are

twohand melee tank guy
ranged bow man guy
necro skeletor guy

a good party? also what should I build for my 4th and what should I watch out for when going for those specs? are the skill systems straightforward as in dex increases ranged dmg?

is it worth buying gear from vendors in act 1?
is it ever worth buying gear from vendors later in the game?

Eh, I'm fine with unbalanced gameplay, I know how to work with shit like that so I can make the experience more fun as a result.
From what I've seen from the Steam comments, a lot of people are praising it for being very open ended. If that's the case, then sign me the fuck up.

>tfw fighting your friend for the combat music
SWEEEEEEEN

Good luck taking encounters at the start of driftwood at level 10 with most of your party in level 6 gear.

You either have to buy or steal from vendors until late mid game, when your lucky charm gets high enough. And even then you will browse for good divine items.

BraccUS is a dick is why.

Honestly speaking, literally everything works on classic once you get past the first few levels, when you have no equipment and skills, facing an opponent that does.
Game is so easy to exploit too. You can't go wrong with summoner as 4th or a pyro mage.

Sacrifice doesn't solve shit. Their plan was a temporary solution at best, the void will break through in the future again and people won't be remotely prepared for it.
Fort joy turned into a sourcerer paradise for me in the divine ending so I'm not sure what the hell you're talking about.

alright.
since you mentioned lucky charm, another question about civil abilities.
As I understand, I want high persuasion on my main character, high thievery and sneaking (?) on another. How high exactly should I push those stats? And what about Lucky Charm? Should I get it on my main char too?

Div2 is either no longer canon or took place before this game mate.
Quit sperging out over it.

Casters use INT
Fighters use STR
Rangers and Rogues use DEX

Summoning probably makes shit too easy, everything is viable on classic, and to have access to every spell in a school you need 5 points in that school.

My party thus far is:

Custom Human 2h Knight with Geo
Ifan as Cleric with Hydro/Necro
Lohse as Mage with Aero/Pyro/1 Hydro
Fane as Huntsman lock picker with a little poly.

This is going to be the Final Fantasy of the divinity series. Give it a few years and people with think "Yeah, I thought they just called it 2 for fun."

>Level 10 summoning
>Bone spider has 5 times the health of my incarnate
>And hits three times harder

Why not just merge them together if you're going to cuck me like this?

The exact wording is "Fort Joy REMAINED a sourcerers paradise". This is what the government propagandized it to be i the first place ever since the start. Understand it as you will.

I just met Sebile on Fort Joy and killed her straight away lel

1 shot her with MACHO IFAN

>crippling blow hits allies
>ignition hits environmental effects and enemies but not allies
pretty convinced larian decided if allies should or shouldn't be hit with abilities using a dartboard

Nigga my divine is in charge now. They wouldn't keep fort joy operating the same fucking way.
You're reading too much in to this shit.

Focus. As high as possible, so 5.
You want pers 5 on a person thats going to do the most talking and has pet pal.
Lucky charm on someone with high wits.
Thievery and barter on someone who doesnt need the points for anything else. Same for loremaster.
You dont need sneaking.

>you have a massive bone spider that is super buffed
>it gets charmed
>it rapes you

Is the game very buggy at the moment or playable all to the end?

I will no doubt buy it but maybe will wait for the directors cut or wtv.

That's completely out of character for Ifan mate. He has a huge soft spot for elves.

>can have a black cat
>a chicken
>a condor
>no dogs
Plebian taste Larian.
what is frost armor?
