On the subject of the death of league: he thinks league will die if enough core players leave - new player additions aren't as important as retention or reinstallation.

If Riot makes a change that kills a style of play or drastically weakens it, they lose players, but adding new ways to play (new content) hopefully keeps players interested if another style gets nerfed or killed.

If they can't bring those new experiences, league will die.

There aren't really any keystones that fit his damage profile in the way that DFT does and every tier of minor runes in Inspiration is massive for helping him through his poor early game (extra potion duration, free biscuits or a stronger zhonya's, minion dematerializer helps his mediocre push to keep the enemy off his turret and makes him a more powerful split pusher later on, and celestial body for just raw early game stats to keep him alive)
