Sure on paper Killian would be a better choice because it doesn't limit you with pvp content but why would you ever pick a pvp server just because it gives you an option to open world pvp, when nobody is doing open world pvp anymore.

Both Killian and Mystel are PVE oriented servers the difference is in community, maturity and player skill.

Killian has players from Veeky Forums, very toxic community, just check his posts () it's really bad. Never play in a Veeky Forums guild if you want to have a good time.

Mystel is more casual, people tend to suck more but are more friendly, more population like to talk more. You get a sense of community.

If you care about the skill of other players and are toxic and a virgin loser who never had a girlfriend, pick Killian and a Veeky Forums guild.

If you're a decent human being, pick Mystel.

Killian is significantly smaller than mystel, but yeah not many PvPers on Mystel. On the PvE side though, Mystel beats Killian by a long shot (I mean high score runs).
PvP is dead anyway.

Population wise I'd say Mystel is at least 20% larger.

Killian need +15 even for VHNM runs, because they're shit and needs to be gear carried.

Basically this I changed from Killian to Mystel because it was impossible to get to play in any LFG, and pretty much everyone was elitist and simply people you didn't want to play with (I actually met one friend on there though, she quit not too long after unfortunately). Not everyone is horrible on Killian, but the majority is.

Although it's not correct that here exists any Veeky Forums guile on Killian... It used to exist, and I was in it, but it's been dead for probably half a year now.
It did actually have some decent people in it, I think most of them have quit now though.

Mystel actually has better players than Killian, in PvE, just check moonguard and you'll see it's mostly Mystel runs that are at the top.
Also, more of them are confident in their ability to carry, hence they don't require +15 for VSNM or even VHNM.

What about going crit/power jewelery, power innerwear, and power vyrsks, for lancer. Then pick 17% shield counter damage instead of 15% spring attack damage on chest line?

Shield counter has a 100% crit chance, so it doesn't matter how low your crit is. Lancer doesn't reach 50% crit anyway, so... May as well go for more white damage and more guaranteed crit damage?

Are raids and dungeons better in this or in Blade and Soul?

That makes sense. Only that Shield counter is limited due its rather long cooldown. I've seen few good lancers run 2x cdr due that. Was there chest roll to reduce SC CD too?

Stacking only crit to lancer is counterproductive anyways since crit rate matters less while attacking from front and you never get good %s. So I figured it's better start adding power after 200 or so.

TERA, obviously, it's action combat and holy trinity.

Take this with a grain of salt because I'm mostly an outsider to BnS anymore but I think dungeons in Tera are generally better especially with the combat that tera has, while raids in BnS seem to be much more traditional and big. Not to mention raids aren't common in Tera, so the community isn't really conducive for raiding in Tera. Wonderholme was nice but then HH comes along after a long time of no raids and it caused a lot of drama.

So in short my perspective on the matter is
Tera - better dungeons
BnS - better raids

There's at least two major BnS players in this thread right now, one who raids half a week so maybe they can give better insight on this too

Wasn't BNS dead on arrival since they delayed release on West for 4 years. I don't know anyone who's playing that.

I forgot to add to this one major thing I meant to say and that's that BnS seems to get raid updates quite commonly so even if you like the raid(s) in Tera, you really only have Harrowhold right now and open world raids/events otherwise, while BnS continues to release larger raid instances and it's a big part of the game whereas dungeons are practically the equivalent in terms of progression/gearing as raids would be in most other games.

It has the same CD as spring attack, if not shorter.

Double CDR is for Arush, Gshout, and enrage, as well as avoiding as many fillers or out right CD locks.

When I tried BnS there wasn't a tank class and there was no healer class. Instead, all you did was hit the boss and have it swap aggro all the time. For healing you used pots or something, or you died to crawl away and self-res.

I fully agree with you user, I love the holy trinity and I love Tera's combat a lot more than I could ever love BnS combat. But you consider the games on what content they offer then Tera is objectively a dungeon game, moreso than practically any other MMO that has raiding at all, and BnS is objectively more of a raiding game than Tera. At least that's what it seems like to me, but yes the user asking should consider how much of a role the combat system and holy trinity would play in each choice.

Hi I don't know much about Tera's endgame myself but a lot about what's been said for BnS has been just wrong. In BnS there are two tank classes, two off healer classes, one support class, and one off support. On top of that, every single dps class brings some kind of utility to the party composition. Early max level content is a push over and can be solo'd for the most part but half of the hard mode dungeons won't even be accessible for you due to the difficulty curve for a significant amount of time. After dungeons there are currently 2 serious raids and 2 simple raids that can be easily pugged. You'll be able to participate in the first serious raid within only a couple weeks work if you're dedicated to gearing. The endgame for BnS is raids and dungeons exist mainly to get you gold and gear you for them but the more serious ones are *not* pushovers in the slightest.

This one is better with the usual tank-dps-healer. I reinstalled bns kr yesterday and it was a clusterfuck

They can be friendly but there is a lot of idling in that specific location and people mostly using guild chat since only a few guilds use that spot. Mostly people from here who are also all in the Dump discord save a few.

Playing an amani isn't a bad thing, but you should understand that this game is practically powered by elin that like other elin, so if you want to be popular you should play an elin, if you want to do your own thing and not care then.. don't care.

It isn't. Well, there's TFT on MT but that's just because some people don't want to play on CH. At one point there was three alive and active MT guilds, but that was a different time.

Dump and Mahou Shoujo aren't split though, Dump is the Veeky Forums guild of CH and Mahou Shoujo is just it's own entity that happens to have people that also interact with Veeky Forums, and those people are allowed in the Dump discord anyway so it's really not that much of a split.

Well they were one guild at a point, but people wanted a pure Veeky Forums guild and broke off from MS to make one.
Popo's are mostly a meme race on NA, very popularo on Ktera and Jtera.
They've been around for a couple days, hanging around with bubble.pop/box.

user you're not getting what I mean. Mahou shoujo is NOT Veeky Forums. Mahou shoujo is the older guild and has been around for many more years, but it's a normie guild. I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing, just that MS recruits from the open population (if anything a good thing at this point in the game) and has their own thing going on.

Dump is pure Veeky Forums that split off from MS. It's not foolproof since people have lied and it's not like its difficult to get in, but Dump only recruits Veeky Forums, and some people want it that way.

The people from MS that are allowed in Dump's discord are typically the leadership, people who have been around for years and also browse Veeky Forums, the people that recruited some of Veeky Forums here before Dump split off.

Therefore, they're both very friendly/sister guilds, but MS is not part of Veeky Forums as a guild, they do their own thing, and they specifically asked to be removed from the pastebin for Veeky Forums guilds when Dump was made. Dump is the go to guild for people to join from Veeky Forums, MS recruits otherwise from general population. Merging the two would go against both guilds and there's no real reason because the Veeky Forums people play together anyway.

I know this is an overly complicated explanation but you really don't need to assume there's something wrong with them when there isn't an actual split to fix, the people that would be playing together do play together.
