All the info about damage calculation has been done from CS/COP source code.

We need answers for the SOC engine. Armor is different between the games, what with the lack of k_ap and the addition of helmets, not to mention the materials aren't quite the same.

IIRC the tables in damages.ltx have very different values too.

The only reason they're recommending an i7 is because they suck at optimization. I mean this is the same group of devs that retconned stutters caused by their poor optimization as an in-game anomaly.

While the split second microstutters every 300m is bad, I think I'm more concerned by fact that I'm only able to get 26-50 fps with this mod. Meanwhile, I get barely any stutters with full sim AI in CoC and I get 60-80 fps with ANR/SR/SWTC/HDpack + increased grass density/radius and a weapon mod.

Alright I need your help cuz this drives me crazy and I can't find an answer/explanation online:
In vanilla Clear Sky, behind the freedom base where there's the toxic pools and shit, right there at the corner of the base's wall pops an unexplained footsteps like pattern that climbs the corner of the building and disappears. It's not listed on the artifacts maps I found online and I can't reach it to trigger an artifact spawn. What the fuck is title? No one ever seem to know what I'm talking about and I never got to record or screen grab it.

Here's where it happens on the map, in the Dark Valley, and what it looks like from the top of my head.

I spotted it returning to the Freedom base after sealing the tunnel used by the mercs and saw it a couple of times afterwards I think.

I edited sprint/crouch/climb slightly and that's it. I only have that one file in the creatures folder since I figured it would pull the rest of the info from the packed gamedata file. I'm updated to 1.4002 since I didn't see any newer patches on moddb. Guess I should update it to 1.4004 soon enough.

Just found out that the new Misery is out but it'll be a while before I can play. How is it?

I unpacked it directly from my install directory using the stalker data unpacker.

Literally the way stalker was meant to be played. I've honestly never been wowed with such a highly polished immersive experience that when I was being chased by dogs and climbed on a box to save myself, I was literally shaking with adrenaline.

The Misery Development Team really hit it out of the park with this one, and I'd be willing to pay AT LEAST $60 for this incredible mod right now. Frankly they're saints for not putting it behind some kind of patreon paywall, because they could be making millions.

Check the last thread. The common initial experience appears to be starving to death after failing to find a can opener.
