I'm glad they are removing stuns in 1.6. Makes the game easier and more accessible.
I think it's a unique story mixing a little bit of erotic fiction with usual fantasy tropes and an epic hero journey.
It is kinda kinky but I don't think DarkGod will make body pillows for us. Although I found rescuing her blood covered body empowering.

Is it true that ToME devs are racist? I see nothing but white characters and people often hint in chat that they are white supremacists but they quickly get banned.

Whoah wtf? My archmage just got killed by an orc soldier? I read in the last thread that this class was supposed to be "invincible" yet I still can't progress past the maze. Getting roflstomped at low level isn't what I'd call fun.

I think you need to use shields which might require pressing more keys than usual.

archmage is tough for the average tome player because it requires them to use more than 3 talents in a fight, most players can't think about they're movements that much

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's shit. Try and take some joy in life. I like TOME lore and will continue to enjoy the great DLC additions that expand upon it. They are also super cheap which I respect of DarkGod in these times of rip offs.

Art is subjective so there is no reason for me to try and convince you. You don't find joy in lore and that's up to you. I think it's original and there's nothing like TOME in other games or writing that I have experienced.

No one is actually bringing up any other game to talk about, because they're all either effectively beaten games where every possible situation has been solved, dead, dying or use ascii which most of /rgl/ are too causal to use

I love lore in games with good lore. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are great examples. Tome is not.

according to one of the devs, he was banned for basically being a dick but was actually good at the game. you cant be banned for cheating in tome since wins with addons like that op superior human race are valid wins in the vault system. cheating isnt discouraged

I didn't even get far enough in Adom to judge its writing. Unlike Tome, it didn't feel like an at all fun game.

In nutome you can skip Vor and Gorbat too which cuts a lot of difficulty out of madness endgame. AB could probably still win if you weren't all shitters.

What's your excuse for not having an Insane win then?

Can you explain something to me? Over the past few weeks I've seen some arguments across the multiple tome boards between a guy who says archmage sucks and people who disagree with him. If Mex is the only legit madness winner then why is it that people like to bring up his win to argue against that guys points? If they can't even beat normal mode and there's only one madness win what does it have to do with archmage?

Yeah nice meme but this was actually one of the best parts of TOME lore with an interesting ethical dilemma which humanized the orcs.

Because archmage is one of the few classes that can do Madness. Just read his guide it explains why but basically huge shields by abusing Bathe in Light.

That doesn't make them actually good though, just because ONE guy beat madness on ONE class doesn't make the archmage class good, that just means he's most likely the best player in the game if he can win on the hardest mode with the weakest avi
