Warding Halo (along with a few other abilities like Iron Skin and Snowglobe) scales off armor. So it's useful for very specific builds, yes.

scindo p was basically king of heavy melee weapons until gala p released. If you look at any video of people going for long endurance runs in t4 survival pre 2016 you'll find most of them have a scindo p

Yeah but randoms are still shitters that will stand in enemy gunfire or melee crowds of infested in a toxin cloud. It's really just extra protection and a bit of luxury since it stops all procs/knockdown/grapple/disruptions

Depends on the game type, if you can self damage for 150 health then pick up 3 health orbs without taking damage do it, otherwise its eaiser to take the 150 health damage then halo yourself so you can go collect three orbs

No, the stacks will drop only when you take damage to your shields or health but since you'd be taking damage to pop the shield it'll probably happen. Also taking damage in the 3 second invincibility window will trigger this effect. I would suggest though Jumping off a ledge where it will black screen you since that will delete your halo and the Broken Scepter melee weapon can create health orbs from draining enemies
