World War 2

>World War 2
>actually just Germany vs USSR with some meaningless skirmishes in Africa

>the eastern front was anything besides Germany playing an endless game of tower defense.

>WWII began in 1941

>Invasion of Normandy
>"Wow, Americans saw the Nazis had to be stopped and decided to step in"
>It happened in 1944, Nazis were beat already
>"O-oh, I see, at least we sped up the war then, hehe"

lel

>the USSR saved Europe from Nazis
>but the Molotov Ribbentrop pcat
>Fascist russophobe!
>but...
>Fascist russophobe!

Because nobody else sign non-aggression pact with Germany, absolutely no one ...

the 1940/1941 period where Britain alone stood against the Axis really interests me, they must have felt so alone in the world yet so close to Europe

Rather sure none else split Europe up with Germany or gave Germany a major part of it's wartime oil reserves.

>Accepting someone else's territorial expansion in exchange for them promising to not do it again is the same thing as dividing up land as well as providing resources to make it easier for your partner to claim said land

>implying ww2 didn't start in 500,000 BCE when man invented fire

Pretty much yeah

No, it isn't. One was the Brits and French reacting to sudden German aggression, the other was Russians planning future aggression.

Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess

The knowledge you have been spreading truth makes a good pillow at night, yes.

if Russia planned future aggression why were their fucking western borders undefended and army groups hanging out near the Japanese border

Because Japan was a much bigger threat at the time than Poland?
If they didn't plan any aggression, why then did they invade all the territories they had marked as their own interests in the pact while giving Germany the resources it needed to keep global attention away from the USSR?

To have a buffer state to the west because tensions between Germany and Russia were too high. Don't forget Stalin tried to get support from the allies and they declined. He accepted the pact so Russia wouldn't be left alone against the threat of war (which is what later happened anyway)

Sorry meant for

This

>World War 2
>Germany and USSR team up to rek shit
>USSR is totally fine with it until Germany betrays them
>Become into war
>Blitzball happens
>Brits and Russians fighting Germans with American weapons
>Africa happens
>Japan attacks everyone
>US enters near end of war
>Rekts Japan
>Marshall plan rebuilds Europe

TLDR
>Russia
Supplied men for Germany to throw soldiers at

>England
Provided generals and kept Germany from using the UK as a staging ground for further deployment

>France
Surrendered

>US
Supplied the Allied forces with weapons and rebuilt Europe after the war.

Everyone mattered and the allies couldn't have won without any of these countries

Except France.

>Poland was just an innocent victim of Hitler and Stalin

If France pulled it's head from sand it would be one what had place of Russia doing biggest fighting like WWI (but this war could be shorter).

>Provided generals and kept Germany from using the UK as a staging ground for further deployment
>bongs think of themselves as relevant
