Anti-alien guns are for sale at certain planetary bases, check military economies first.

Psvr when? Also do we have legs yet?

I've got to admit that's a pretty good picture for OP.
I would almost make you forget the game is a shitty grindfest eroding your soul little by little.

>posting jpeg that will never happen

Why does it shit lightning?

AtV soon lads

Continue theorycrafting
Can the cutlass fit long range scanners or does the turret need to go? Also how good would be a red on this?

Is that intentional or did they fuck up?

Did somebody say solo cargo

Just released, they don't do much

Couldnt get it down below 87%

CERTIFIED WANT

same problem... land a few hits and the integrity jumps back to 100%

Yeah you might be right.

>if it can load/unload on planets.

Looks like the petals flicker, maybe we need to target specific ones.

It cannot. Its also slow as balls. Max is the blockade runner because its the fastest.

B is the largest one that can land while loaded at least, unless they go back on their word again.

>post-2.6 speeds
>running blockades in a cargo ship

did you notice the heart subsystems? they have several but i can't seem to damage them

>Piracy and criminal status in SC

Consider the following: I steal your Hornet that you have in a hanger somewhere. For the sake of this scenario, there is no trace I have done it. I take that Hornet and attack a cargo hauler with it and blow it up. Who is the criminal? If its me, how does anyone know? The ship I'm flying is registered to someone else and no one ever saw me.

Anyone have thoughts? Or has this already been covered somewhere?

Figured it out, SDC killed one

Take their shields down, then target the heart. After the last heart is the only one they'll stop regenerating. You can hurt the heart with normal guns.

I love this Freelancer MAX fag I've been seeing lately. SO convinced his ship is going to be impervious to pirates and completely thrash them. Reminds me of the Conni owners back in the "space superiority" times. Can't wait to rape his dad ass.

well uhhh, ya know, the thing with uhhhh piracy is ya know, sometimes you might not be seen by uhhh someone ya know but we're working towards releasing tools for ya know creating best damn space sim ever uhhh buy more ships

>shields
wasn't even aware they had shields

I'd imagine the Hornet is reported stolen (probably automatically) and the original owner not charged.
That's assuming ships have real world locations and don't just disappear into the ether when you dock/store them.

>wants an unarmed tourist yacht
so what you really want is to lose your money over and over and over again. you like it don't you? dirty boy

Your ship is immediately flagged as stolen and if you are in secured space the npc poo poo will go after you and you take a standing hit.

In low/nullsec nobody gives a fuck. Although something tells me that ship entrance will be much difficult.

>goons stealing each others ships

Hull-A and B will be able to while fully loaded
Look here :
robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14661-A-Hull-For-Every-Job-The-MISC-Hull-Series
What I'm wondering is if Hull-C and above will be able to land while half-loaded.

>Eve sucks
>E:D sucks
>NMS sucks
>SC will take 3 - 4 years to launch easily

I want mah space sim NAOW!

Ok, but when I blow up some dad, does anything get applied to my character? Logic would say no. I get that the ship is flagged as hot and now additionally that it has engaged in piracy, but my character is a seperate entity from the ship its flying.

>you take a standing hit
How/why? No one is aware it was me.

>unarmed tourist yacht
robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/890-jump/890-JUMP#holo-viewer
Even if you can't trust those data, they ain't going to make it less armed than the 600i
robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/600i/Origin-600i-Explorer#holo-viewer

Looks like a mobile game.

It will probably work by areas. You steal a ship in secured space, all secured systems knows you are a thief immediately (the ship is marked as being of player x but you are not him and you are flying it without permission). Npc's, station turrets will give chase/fire upon you. In more chaotic/lawless systems/areas nobody gives a fuck.

The question is: if the ship is stolen can you sell it afterwards or is it "hot" and traders wont buy them? Can you disassemble it and sell the parts/cargo? probably.
The victim is reimbursed according to insurance. Lawless characters might not have such privilege.

There will be some sort of keypad locking too.

Speaking of which, they are yet to launch a stealth cargo runner (low capacity) and a small salvage ship.

Looks way more fun than Realism Citizen.

What even is the point of luxury in this game? So instead of flying through space on a bridge, you do it from a hot tub?

Besides to show off wealth/RP, I can only think of it being needed for VIP escort jobs.

As been discussed ad nasuem as I'm sure you are aware, the small/solo salvage ship is not likely to occur.

Stealth cargo may again be something they don't want to have in the game.

How can it take them more than 2 years to update the ship specs page and they still don't know when it will be done?

>show off wealth/RP

I think its just this. Unless passenger missions allow you to babysit rich posh pricks and kikes.

They could just give them higher quality components or maybe less wear and you have to do maintenance less frequently. Who knows at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if they just went with their explanation in the 600i QA which was basically "it's more expensive because it's an expensive brand in-lore".

That's pretty much how it works in Elite.

>If you think the game is boring or the missions are "repetitive", that's because you're a spoiled babby who wants cawadooty story mode and you should "play another game"
>implying another game exists at all
>being completely alone in an MMO galaxy is fun
>having a tangible impact on the game world is too EVE-like and that's bad
>furries are people too
>anyone who wants to have player-run alliances and corps is a power-mad psychopath
>"space legs" will make the game better
>furaffinity o7

This is what dads actually believe and I fucking hate that ftroop exclusively listens to them.

So what's fun to do in Eravate besides noob stomping? I just want the "multiplayer" of space MMO to mean something for once. o7 o7 o7

>what even is the point of luxury
Origin fills the niche for people who want a more sleek looking ship instead of the more common rugged industrial aesthetic.

Your ship needs diamond encrusted coffee mugs, a jacuzzi and buttler Jarvis?

[insert comment about how it's all faked and they're just editing all their videos to make it seem like they have an office with people in it]

Also you need to occasionally stock them with booze.

I would agree with you if it was any other game than SC.
Elite can't do more than ferrying VIP at waypoint.

But SC ?
>get a job to carry a few rich guy to a safari hunt on Deathworld-IV
>you need to stock up in expensive food, good npc servant
>on the way you are attacked by pirate, the rich guy help manning turret but some are fucking jokes
>land on the planet, you have to follow the bunch in the one or two rover you packed
>keep those guy alive as they get attacked by poisonous wasp and carnivorous blimp
>get them back home

Or you could just take that job to ferry a dozen of bikini supermodel to a paradise planet, and actually SEE them.

>on the way you are attacked by pirate, the rich guy help manning turret

lol. Imagine babysitting a cruise ship to the Indian Ocean when Donald Trump and some Kardashian start manning AR-15's and fending off pirates kek.

So how am I supposed to fight the Thargoids/find people to fight the thargoids if I don't have any friends that play Elite or am apart of a group?

if they crack up good joke it may prevent me from spacing them without the luxury of a spacesuit.

Literally through the multicrew interface.

Thargoids are soloable with the new weapons.

but I dont want to multi-crew, I just want to wing up.

Then find friends/join a group you fucking mongoloid.

...

Ain't that the fucking truth, I mean even the most passionate SC backers have all fucked off waiting for 3.0 to drop but over on FDev forums they still have a group bashing CIG daily with blessings from moderators. Although they blocked new accounts from accessing the thread because it gave moderators a headache trying to justify not banning their regulars they like.

...

>atv soon
>no word about evocati yet

>How/why? No one is aware it was me.

The actual game will know you're not the person who owns the ship. Let's not pretend CIG is making an alternate reality game with the ability to trick the underlying systems.
This is not a holodeck Star Trek simulation where you can tell the computer "Pretend you can't see me"

is the Orca actually a good multipurpose ship? I've always really liked its aesthetic.

I don't even play ED but that's a nice ship.
IMO

>soon
More like "10 hours from now"

all the Saud Kruger ships are pretty cool, they're just made to be passenger ships so they're kind of limited.

if I didn't give a fuck I'd just get a Beluga Liner but that would be most of my space bucks.

I've never actually seen a real person in any of the passenger ships, it's always NPCs.

I want to fly around interdicting people with a pink Orca, badly...

Don't listen to the guy below

Don't listen to the guy above

You ruined it.

See you tomorrow.

Have Evocati invites gone out? A few new members have been added to the Org

>the small/solo salvage ship is not likely to occur.

Translation: "If you are flying solo you are limited to trade and shoot things for a monetary reward". Thats lame AF.

Dont listen to that user . He actually thinks he will have a group of 6 players 20/7 to do menial tasks in his reclaimer.
Once he finds out he cant he will ragequit and shitpost his rustled jimmies here so we can have a laugh.

robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/16139-The-New-Definition-Of-Performance

it's probably gonna be some faggy episode that deals with medpacks or something while they delay 3.0 even further in order to try and gouge people even more with the promise of the X1 sale

goodnight dude, enjoy a nice AtV when u wake up

It looks stupid as fuck. Is the pilot supposed to stand inside it or what?

You could also explore or race. And nothing says you can't solo salvage, there just won't be a ship dedicated to it since you are going to do most of your "salvaging" EVA or planetside.

Jesus christ, jump to some more conclusions why don't you. That's not it at all.

>Anyone have thoughts? Or has this already been covered somewhere?

From Q&A answered:
If you steal the ship of someone and he declare it stolen, he won't be bothered by any system who get the information (note: the information don't travel into jumppoint by itself, which push data-runner on a whole different level)

You (in the stolen ship) will be attacked for being in a stolen ship in any system who care (AND received the info, no FTL comm again)
But your character itself should (in theory) not be considered a criminal unless some game-mechanic (like a scanner? or black-box data) manage to prove that you are the one who stole it.

The game will know what you dit, but CR/CIG do intend to let you play with which star system know which plane know player X is a criminal. Technically this is pretty simple to do, just have the data update slowly. What will require a lot of finesse is to make sure it allow a gameplay around stealing ship and fleeing where nobody know you (yet)

>The-New-Definition-Of-Performance

It's like everything that fucking release has to +1 whatever they released before.

'Threadly' reminder that Star Citizen will have it's commercial release before Half-Life 3 is announced.

>But your character itself should (in theory) not be considered a criminal
Cool shit. Thanks for tracking down the info. You're pretty swell.

has anyone gotten pictures of Roberts yacht made out of cocaine and hookers yet?

Chris is a wholesome family man.

Leave the Vanduul to me

no bullying in this thread ok, it is nice thread for friendship and discussion

>unless some game-mechanic (like a scanner? or black-box data)

Thats over realistic bantz. Pretty much NMS "Sean tier".

CIG where the weapons are ships.

that's not what I got from small/solo salvage ship have been discussed ad nauseam because we already have them. Any ship with a cargo-hold and tools to cut of part of a ship will do the jobs. It wouldn't be interesting to have a ship that convert wreck into spare part automatically. This is not like a mining ship which only have to separate basic ores.

Your mention of the reclaimer and menial task is not without merit thought. The only retards who argue against npc-crew are deluded whale who believe others will pay to board their magnificent ship and call them admiral.

>stealth cargo ship
You already have one: the Retaliator base. Its goal meant it had to be fast and considering its maker, have some stealth.
No reason you can't have a smaller one, Eclipse-sized, but it would need a reason to exist in the lore.
If I where you, I wouldn't ask for stealth cargo ship
I would ask for stealth container that won't appear on a scan of your ship and pretend to contain biological waste if queried by computer.

Wait until the part you are presented to a court of law.
You need to hire a lawyer and such.

Good job

this post is kinda racist

>still no easy way to find/join wings/public wings
>wings barely even work
rofl nice game retards

>"Space Sim x is a social game"

Oh boy, if I had a nickel....

youtube.com/watch?v=3Mz5YPkThOU

:^)

>game with the ability to trick the underlying systems.
Sure it sounds absurd but it's been feasible for a while.
youtube.com/watch?v=Nt1XmiDwxhY

>people started deluding themselves into thinking that the thing has a S3 hardpoint already
I hate this community

Sure if you build the game around the mechanic, but this is an MMO with a ton of conflicting systems and mechanics. A massive jack of all trades master of none, there are going to be sacrifices whether Chris Roberts wants them or not. They have a financial ceiling that is probably closer to them than they're comfortable with so shit is going to get cut down to ensure gameplay is out faster so if you steal a ship you're going to be labelled a criminal with little effort in the beginning maybe later they'll come up with some fine tuning way of stealth theft which will be dropped because players are already comfortable with mechanics in the game and wont want to be upsetted.

Not really, that's just a literal black box, if you recover it, the game will stop pretending it don't know whose ship destroyed yours.
Who own that ship and wether it have been stolen is just a binary yes/no variable stored in a table.
The game will know you stole the ship because you'll be forced to run an hacking mechanic yourself, that's when the change of ownership could happen.

Then with each star system getting separate table, just put a slow update if X container come with the data in it. That's stuff you can program on Excel.

Next, as you've seen on screenshot, some starport have scanner. If you land in a stolen ship AND go by the scanner; the link "you = stolen ship" is done immediately.
So I believe CIG will add outlaw access to starport so instead of being scanned, you have to bribe someone to not care, or enter by a destroyed fence.

And ship with very good sensor will probably be able to scan the real user aboard if you let them get close.

You can get all that from following the AtV and various data CIG give about what they are working toward (it can always change, that's how game design is)

Honestly, I would prefer them to not allow change ownership of the ship at all (forcing the thief to dismantle it) and not implement the hacking mechanic to the locks, but keep it with no waiting time after x failed attempts so the player can "in fact" hack it using third party scripts.

>no wait time after failed attempts
What sort of shit lock is this? Might as well leave your door open.
