Long disables are shitty for everyone involved. Stun meta was a thing long ago, but over time they stuns got so out of hand that every support had to have cleanse mandatory because chaining together three or four 1-2 second stuns destroyed the game. Short stuns only SEEM shitty because other games let you 100-0 people 1v1 because you can chain together 2-3 second long stun effects ad infinitum and somehow people think that's fun and engaging gameplay. Short durations mean they can make the CDs shorter, and make you worry more about timing that just mashing buttons into people to kill them in such a way that they literally cannot do anything about it.

This game is like a fighting game in the sense that a retard mashing buttons CAN win, but people who learn the combos and timing on shit will do better the more time they invest unless me bunga team and forced 50 etc etc

gameplay is so much more interesting and enganging when the result of fucking up horribly and getting caught out of position is "I'm now 75% hp" or "the healbot on my team is down 10% of his mana pool"

high level hots games are so awful and boring to watch because of how nonlethal the game is
it's only good at low levels because everyone is too bad at the game to take advantage of this

also the choice of fighting games as a comparison seems a bit silly, seeing as most have combos for 50%-75% hp that your opponent "literally cannot do anything about" but they're still considered good, balanced competitive games.

the skill in the game is in not letting your opponent begin his combo in the first place.
they would be far worse games if hitstun was reduced to 10% of its current value and the game gave you 6 different opportunities escape mid-combo such that you'd only take significant damage if you fucked them all up (this is what For Honor did and this is why it's shit for competitive play)

The best diablos always look for oppurtunities to smash people into walls. It does amazing damage if you can pull off a double wall smash with domination reset.

This is much easier to do in maps with tight spaces, like Garden/Braxis/Dragon/Infernal/Towers.

You just cant win in bronze/silver. Its a roll of the dice to get non-retarded teammates, and the odds are not in your favor unless you are a grandmaster hyper-carry

My autism is tending towards the former, but practice favours the latter.

flip+taunt is broken as fuck my dude, you just get to poke untill you get a lucky flip and then taunt stunlock for the freest kills in the game.

Other pull heros dont have that kind of stun ability, and stun heros typically have to dive or skillshot first.

Taste for Blood is better in the long run, but Sieging Wrath gives you a better impact sooner. You only take Taste for Blood if you have a character to help you stack, like a Johanna.

taste for blood only on tomb of the spider queen and only when you have teammates to set up stacks for you, otherwise sieging wrath is far better
