Okay, so how were Flashback Lights described in the dub? Do they implant fake memories/rewrite them or use it to bring up forgotten memories?

That's what I said- I might be mixing it up with some OTHER non-canon shit. Still, prior events it mentions (recalling misadventures with Mondo for example) might be considered canon. Depends on if Kodaka was involved with it on any level beyond simply signing off on it. Since they DID include it with DR2, I'm guessing the only non-canon parts of it would be the story itself (obviously), not any pre-game events it recalls. But I could be wrong.

I found Gonta's original lovel hotel event to be cute, but there's no way I'll be able to take him seriously with the caveman talk.
