Yeah, some are too rare to appreciate. Gorillas are kinda small but decent, Aliens are freaky and 50s, and Stingwings look weird as fuck. At least Radscorpions are both common and more true to the classics, instead of the fatties from 3/NV.

I'll admit i was a fan of the sort of "weirdness" of a deathclaws. The almost emaciated form brimming with muscle, exceptionally long gangly arms with swords for fingers.
Even so the new claw does seem more fearsome in almost every degree, but part of me will always love the just unnerving way they moved around, not like an animal, like some sort of monster.

None of them ever looked like chameleons which they're supposed to based off of. I go back and forth between personal opinion though design wise the Fallout 4 deathclaws are better designed. Gaterclaws just look.....lazy? I don't even know they look like terrible creature mesh edits you'd see back in the day on the FO:3 & NV nexus

Not him, but I agree: the new one is better but the old is still cool. Like Molerats (cuddly pugs to actual rats), or Yao Guai (zombie bears to real bears with rabies).

I find the way that the new larger deathclaws being able to move as quickly and as agile as they do (when the AI works) to be much more monstrous. Nothing that big should be able to juke bullets.

tbf Deathclaws used a lot of different DNA from all sorts of animals (although primarily the chameleon), thrown in a big pot, spiced with some FEV, and left to simmer.

Yeah i always thought that older mole rats were almost puglike. So ugly they fell right into being cute, shame that they weren't kept creepy/adorable. Also someone did make a giant ridable mole rat mod based on that old concept art.

Aren't male Assaultrons just Sentry Bots? I though 'trons were developed as an opposite to Bots: fast mobile and sneaky. Only helps that they're programmed female.

Yknow, thinking about it, it seems like in NV with Giant Rats, that Mole Rats are supposed to be the Pig Rats of the game.

Make the differences between damage bigger and add situations where its pretty convenient to use gimmick ammo

Boost 'em up and dont make bullet sponge enemies. Also again there are certain situations where you use them. Shotguns in close combat etc

I haven't played fo4 since release, didn't even finish it, what difficulty would you recommend playing on? I was playing on survival last time but i'm remembering some hardcore sponge so i'm not sure if it'll actually be fun or not

Survival is the opposite of sponge. Everything dies quickly in survival, including yourself.

Survival got an update, it's not a sponge mode anymore. Though early game is a fair bit hellish on it.

Only modes worth playing are it and normal.

I personally like the FO3/NV Deathclaw looks. Yeah they did look a little lean but it made their immense power all the more frightening. The flatish face with forward-looking eyes looked more human too, in a gargoyle or demon sort of sense, it added to the general aura about them. These are the new apex predators on the planet.

Are there any mods for fallout 4 comparable to Better Living Through Chems in NV and similar mods that add tons of drugs and/or visual effects? My NV character was always going on killing sprees on powerful dissociatives and psychedelics and I'm looking for that again

MO2 support is dead so NMM is your best bet.

I still use MO2 however since it uses much less space than NMM.
