5 and 6 are very different in tone than 7 though. They play more like CoD than RE. 7 plays more like the old RE games, length included. RE7 was excellent imo but 10 mil is way too ambitious. They tried to bank on the hide-and-seek simulator fad, but there are way more CoD kiddies.

This, RE7 was in development when Slender and FNaF took off. They showed up to the party too late and tried to compete in a genre of freeware and $5 games with a full retail price AAA title that lasted an afternoon.

Capcom would make so much more money if they sold their games as budget titles proportionate to the effort that was put into them. I don't think half as many people would be having autistic fits over Infinite if it was a $30-$40 game.

This might sound like a dumb question, but how do you commit to a character? In every game I play, I always feel like playing everyone and can't settle down with a main.
