Summary:
Saga title is a spiritual successor to Rome 2. Some are guessing the map will be Britannia.
Campaign pack coming up for a past history title, probably Rome 2.
Next big history game is a setting they've never done before. Will feature "important character relations that occur between the major personalities in the game."

Workshop for Warhammer 2 hasn't been enabled yet but will be. Manually installing mods still works.
Some nice little mods (better camera, resized lords, climate battles, thicker dust, bigger units):

>mon visage it's Ceasar in Britannia

>moulder and scurry

Okay, that got me.

And gimme ideas for this one!

reminder that liking pike and shot is a major symptom of autism and you should immediately contact your doctor

COLD BLOODED KILLERS

Fried frogs.

This battle was pretty dope, the black guard just didnt want to break

The memervantion armies are composed entirely of high-tier units, which is fucking hilarious. You get like half a dozen dragons, the rest chariots.

ai alastar has a unique item

But we're all autistic here in one way or another.

Keep an eye out for obsidian as lizardmemes.

I dont know why people keep asking about it when you can effectively use it as far as Medieval 2. You just need to position your pikemen and musketeers in a square.

Fuck I know that feel, posted pic related a couple threads back. Funnily enough I wiped it out a turn later with a half-stack of spears and crossbows with auto resolve

...

...

Next Historical is Victoria and the first saga game will be American Civil War. Screencap this.

So what happens if someone else finishes the final ritual before you?

Do you get to fight against them in the final battle and have a chance at stopping them, or do you just fucking lose?

No.

So does your alastar

rollon

Who thought intervention armies were a good idea

>Do you get to fight against them in the final battle and have a chance at stopping them
Yes, you get 5 turns to do a quest battle that you can teleport to to defeat them. If you ignore them, you lose. I just tested it out and you don't even get a defeat cinematic or anything, just straight to the little campaign history screen. Will be fighting the battle now and reporting on its difficulty

Why is there no weather in this game? Battles in the rain were cool as fuck, especially in Shogun 2.

>implying there's going to be any more history Total War games
I don't think you understand how much money they've made off of these two games so far compared to how much they've made off the history games.

Even Games Workshop said they were extremely happy with the success of the first game.

Once GW sees the profit they'll make off TWW2, even if the third game is not based on Warhammer Fantasy we can only pray that it'll be set in WH40K, because that's where the core is, and the amount of money it'll make will be unreal.

It says right fucking there that you can't target them because "Not climbing, manning equipment, or on a platform"

r u an redard?

Warhammer isn't even close to being the best selling game though. Empire sold 7 million copies.

Am I missing something or is there literally 1 unique building in all of Lustria accessible to Teclis? (the regen building in Itza)

I would enjoy the hell out of that. But given how the late antiquity game tanked I'm not sure how well a game set in the early middle ages would go.

It only works against siege equipment and units on walls. Pro tip: It oneshots walls.

>the great plan I have here lists my, my lizards, but only one of you

(you)

>responding to bait

>implying

They can jew historyfags with DLCs as effectively as they do fantasyfags, hell Attila was a great example of that.

Do you have a shred of proof that Warhammer is a gigantic moneymaker nowhere near the previous games or are you just spouting bullshit?

Was empire really the most sold one? Thats sad.

>Ours is the world of fleeting glory, but it is glory non the less

Asur prevail!

Relocate Dark Elves to the ODD section and give Morathi the 69 range.

>Attila tanked

u wot m8? It's widely considered one of the best games in the series, including right here on /twg/.

>I'm not sure how well a game set in the early middle ages would go

Age of Charlemagne was set in Early Medieval and was universally praised as the best/second best DLC for Attila.

if the next historical title is ching chong total war I will be so mad

feels bad man, that game is the epitome of wasted potential to me.

The hype for Empire was pretty huge. M2 was really well received and the idea of a 3 part world map and the whole gunpowder thing was a good selling point. How were we to know that it was a buggy fucking mess?

Empire was the last total war I bought before Warhammer, desu. That shit burned me good.

All Total Wars have sold a million copies you know. While Warhammer Fantasy did get a lot of normies to talk about it, its sales still isnt on par with Rome 2, despite how shitty that was.

Do D.Elves have a way of reducing chaos? I eradicated the Mungi fucking shits, but their settlements are too damn filthy to keep without a chaos rebellion every 3 turns.

They made up for it with SHogun 2 for me. Then ruined it with rome 2 and then sorta made up for it with Attitta

battle speed is still made for people with ADD. this arcade shit got boring at first 10 hours of play. funny it's up to SFO safe warhammer yet again.

>he doesnt know about the glorious Three Kingdoms

>laughingsimayi.png

>Order vs Chaos

I liked it but make 69 to choose between Sigvald and Morathi

I think the speed in TWW2 is almost perfect. It isn't as fast as TWW1, but not super slow either. It could do with a small speed decrease though.

Where is the WRE Empire campaign for warhammer? where the fuck is it? all these starts are fucking boring.

>tfw I thought skins skirmishers were going to be poop
>tfw they're destroying chosen with motherfucking blowguns

>tfw I enjoy the fast battles in R1, S2 and Warhammer

M2 was the sweet spot though.

EMPIRE 2 FUCKING WHEN?!

youtube.com/watch?v=mXknALrHSfI&t=735s

WRE is fucking boring 2bh. Smaller barbar starts a best.

It's in Attila, the last good Total War game which you should play instead of this fantasy bullshit for ADD children

ai caught me out of position since I wasn't sure if they were going to camp the hill or advance - pretty easy battle especially with the reinforcements, but the army isn't anything to sneeze at. Winning this knocks the race completely out of the vortex competition. If the ai is on their final ritual, it is probably better to let them complete it and beat them in the battle than it is to interrupt it and allow them to retry a bunch of times

*Shogun 2, the last good Total War game

Why does this YT movie exist when you can easily replicate it by launching Empire; it's bound to freeze on loading at some point.

meh, med2 battles were only >slow because the units moved at a very slow speed the actual fighting was just as quick

rude

I thought magic was fixed?

>weeb shit for ADD children is somehow better from fantasy shit for ADD children

laffin

Critical acclaim doesn't translate into success though is what I meant. It's technically a good game and we may love it but for whatever reasons Rome2 it hasn't sold as well as the games that bookend it.

I'd say it's the best DLC for Attila. But I think it's popular because Charlie is the most well known person from that period in the western world. As much as I'd love a game set more in the east and about something that isn't as well known I think they'd have a hard time selling the concept.

Those early fights with just spear milities in medieval 2 were slow as fuck, but the midgame feudal knight clobbering fests might be the slowest TW fights ever.

nah, the slowest fights are unironically in the roman civil war scenario in rome2, because when two units of legionnaires start fighting in some narrow street it takes them ages to do any kind of damage to one another

>He used my Odd vs Even idea
Nice

desu I like it how it is now, with factions having the same range as their opposite, even though they don't have the same number of lords

What makes both for ADD children, but not Atilla?

The ai clearly moved to avoid your comet.
>complaining when you get outplayed by the fucking tw ai
Shoulda used chain lighting you shitter

It's like that with my Delves to. Fucking Black Ark bombardments deal such pitiful damage given how long they take to cast.

Why is it always three kingdoms? Is the rest of china's history just really boring or something?

They were fast as fuck for me, but that might be because of shit like this

The fact that I don't like them.

I think deus vult larpers would play it

not that user, but he is probably referring to the fact that battles in s2 were lightning fast

eh, maybe, its been a while since I played r2, but I recall going to make some tea while the units just kinda blobbed the streets

Don't you mean Medieval II?

>turn 64 as high elves
>nearly enough fragments for the third ritua, but I haven't even done my first
>busy chasing norscans, pirates and rebels with 3 full stacks

No. But it's also the same reason the only period of time that you give a shit about Japan is the Sengoku period. All the characters from that period are simply more romanticized than others.

>All Total Wars have sold a million copies
True, but Attila took over two years to hit 1m.
Warham1 has been out for 1 year and is almost at 2m. Warhams 2 has been out for what, a week? It already has 300k+

The AI clearly got hit on its stupid AI face and took no damage

Can I get some High elf campaign tips?
I can win most battles that I play out myself, but army comp advise would also be appreciated, I tend to use way more archers than I probably should.
I got really far into my first very hard campaign, but have just hit a wall where I can't get anything done without outnumbering Delves 2 to 1 because I'm an idiot that never upgraded to pheonix guard. I also got fucked out of half of ulthuan due to shitty allies so Delves took half the north without me being able to do much and now I can't get them off. I managed to take Naggoroth but need 2 armies just to keep it, and I can't afford another 2 to defend.

>mfw can't unsee that the rome 2 unit cards are sort of dabbing

>People posting in this thread right now have never played the 40-60 minutes battles of RS2 and SPQR and think battles in Warhammer 2 and Rome 2 are "slow"
If you can at all muster yourself to play Rome 1, you should really try one of those mods, they're great

>feet fetish
Nah. Get the fuck out of here wit that meme nonsense, and put Morathi in for odd.

AE never

>literally 0 damage on fucking zombies

Don't worry guys, maybe in the next decade

Is it just me, or does Skrolk have a damn good start? There are like 5 ruins within just a few turns walk.

Fair.

If Steamspy is to be believed Attila only sold 1 mil (and keep in mind this is with sales and a free weekend)

By comparison, TWW1 is on 1.8 mil (margin of error 40 000) though this is with sales on and off Steam. Rome 2 is at 2.7, Shogun 2 at 3 mil, admittedly both with free weekends. Interestingly Napoleon is at 2,5 mil with no free weekend whatsoever.

It's weird seeing Attila praised here considering how poisonous the general got after it was released. It was a bummer because I really liked it and I actually bought it for a few anons in the general.

Ark bombardments are fucking bugged. They dont even stagger enemies at all.

>get outplayed
>complain that magic is up
the absolute fucking state of the total war playerbase

Playing as Kroq Gar, is it just me or are the Southlands a bitch to play in?

What turn am i supposed to come 'online' as Tyrion? I'm at like 26 now, just getting a few trade partners going. Should i be fighting with anyone on Ulthuan or just galavanting?
